Hi Chuck, I remember you saying in some video that you read all the comments. If that is indeed the case then I just want to say thank you! You reawakend my will to start leatherworking again. I did some cosplay awhile ago but i only made more rugged "armor" not really the fine details like bags and such. Therefore I am very happy that you managed to make me a, random swedish dude, passonate about gettin down and doin some work. I really wish I could buy from Weaver cause at this point they are the cause of my new found passion, but I really can't justify above 40 usd shipping costs on a 14usd item when I am on a slightly restrictive budget. Regardless you have said many times that it is not needed to have all of the best tools and they only really make stuff easier. My first pair of straight chissles will be arriving in about 3 days and i think ill try my hands on a camera bag esk thing that you would sling over your sholdier but instead of cameras it could hold scout gear, I think ill use a snap and a little leash attached to my belt to be able to reduce movementm, the bag will probably be colored either brown or a red brown colour. My first real project! Other than that I look forward to seeing more of you in the future, your passion really is contageous!
May you have a nice continued day or night from some random dude in sweden named Alex!

Not to be nitpicking Chuck, but 5/16” is closer to 8mm. As a mechanic that kind of knowledge is handy when removing fasteners. Thanks for the awesome tutorials and tips videos. God Bless.

Moving around that exposed blade makes me nervous.

Awesome videos man definitely worth watching them all at some point. I’m a leather craftsman who’s been out of the game for way too long.
I got a mighty challenge for ya if you don’t mind.

Thank you. You took the mystery out of installing these closures. Also good to know Weaver carries sizes.

Love seeing these. Sometimes it’s hard to pick in store. This is a great way to check the styles out and see how they are installed. Thanks

Pretty good video Chuck. Thanks, some of those closures have been pretty tough to install the first time I try them.
Sometimes it takes some thinking to make them look pretty. But they can be put on most of the time no matter what thickness of leather is being used.

The swing and turn locks look a little hard to do but are not. Thank you, Chuck I'll be adding these to my hardware stuff.

On the swing clasps, are the rivets not included when you order the clasps? I just ordered 3, but not one lock came with rivets.

They do not come with the rivets, the length of the rivet needed varies depending on the weight of leather you are using. You can use Jiffy rivets, double cap rivets or split rivets to attach the clasp. Hope that helps!
