We enjoy learning our history via the actual museums and monuments as we travel the USA. It is amazing how the puzzle comes together the more we go to these places,......
That is the most incredible bass pro shop. I am Sam I have only experienced Sacramento and Las Vegas, which I thought were incredible. This blows them away. Thanks for the exposure on the timer talk to you to make a video. Thomyt
Bass Pro Shop tip for the women: Give a man a fish and you feed him for the day, let him buy a fishing rod and you get rid of him for the whole weekend. 🎣
I watched this pyramid many days when my son-in-law was at St Jude's hospital. It was vacant then. Yes he survived cancer thanks to St Jude. Tom Sawyers rv park is great also.
Another one of Johnny Morris' great contributions, which I enjoy visiting over Disneyland and highly recommend, is the Wonders of Wildlife Museum & Aquarium in Springfield, Mo. Thanks for taking us back to the great bass pro pyramid on the Mississippi and revisiting some of the history of Memphis.
Yes that is an amazing place. We didn't get to stop this time. We stayed at Tom Sawyer's RV Park, West Memphis AR not at the KOA you guys stopped at after the customer appreciation rally. We are now up near That little falls on the Niagara river.
We drove past it eastbound on the way to Red Bay, AL. We've gone to other BPS's, but this one is unique. Thanks for taking us along for the amazing tour and so many PRO TIPS in this episode! You'll need a mint talking thru your new communications system! Howdy from Mt Rainier! Happy, safe, and healthy travels. Brendan & Lena
I had to abandon the use of the intercom system, which we had started to rely on, shortly after I needed to use one of the hoses at a CG with a connection that was quite far away.
Sorry you missed out on eating at the restaurant. But I would have missed out too by looking out the over look out doors. Hope you have a great week! See you next Sunday. Safe travels. Great video as always.
Next time! When we could NOT get the burgers with only being 12 minutes late on the lunch menu, we decided they must have decided they already make enough money, so we only ordered drinks.
Have we been here before? lol Have ya'll had a chance to visit the Bass Pro in Springfield, MO? If not, plan a day (or two) when in the area to do that one as well. Really enjoy watching you two. :) Phyllis and Marc
Not yet! We are sort of Bass Pro virgins! We are starting to try to branch out and visit places like this though as we discover them. Thanks for stopping by,...
Mark I hope those state of the Art intercoms are new and not just ones you found lying around ha ha . I live the next state over from this state and did not know about the Bass Pro building. Thanks for the information I will have to ask my wife if she wants to go with me there the next time we are in Tennessee . I already know what her reply is going to be. Loved the video thanks so much for sharing it with me.
This is Sue.... and you are correct,.....sort of. WE actually lucked out together. In everything we do, we always try to pull from the same side of the wagon. We try to always put the hay low enough for the other goat to eat. We always try to assist the other person with their weaknesses. This works out perfect for the RV Lifestyle. 400 sq. feet of living space can be a challenge! Thanks for watching Barry! Remember though, creative editing CAN create an illusion!
Great episode. I was disappointed however that you did not give any engineering tips or secrets concerning the building of the pyramid. After all the pyramids are one of the seven wonders of the world.
We did the complete Walking Tour of the Civil Rights History in Birmingham AL right before we went into the Civil Rights Museum. It was very emotional. Check it out: ruclips.net/video/klmItz94Kzk/видео.html
Another powerful tour in Montgomery, AL is The National Memorial for Peace and Justice, also known as the National Lynching Memorial. It is a very impactful tour. We have been on the Civil Rights trail through the National Park Service and have learned so much. By the way, if you are ever in Savanna, GA there is an outstanding walking tour found under Condé Nast Traveler called Underground Tours of Savannah. The tour guide is amazing her name is Patt Gunn or Sista Patt she is Gullah Geechee a direct descendant of Africans enslaved. Safe travels!
A sense of humor, here, helps to relieve my war anxiety and fatigue. I have faith that our planet will find more peace with time and experience.
We are hoping for the same,....
You guys are killing me in this video. 😂😂😂
We have got to check this Bass Pro Shop out. We have most definitely got to meet you guys. -Pete
It's a date. We will be in a KOA near you some day! Don't look for us boondocking anywhere unless they have 50 amp service.
I was stationed there that night in 68 , difficult time never forget that hotel and Memphis

We just had to make a video on this place,....it was just so cool, and so cheap to have a great afternoon. Thanks for watching.
Just when I think I’ve seen it all, BAM! It definitely is worth a peak, so it’s in the list.
Love when things make "The List"!
We have seen the Pyramid from a distance a number of times but have never seen the inside. We will next time after seeing this! Thanks.
You should! It was a fun & cheap date for us!
Hey Mark and Sue, that bass pro shop is awesome isn’t? Glad you got you a new speedo Mark. Y’all take care!
Sue make me get the two piece suit version with the matching cover-up "tarp".
Lol!
we enjoyed Memphis fun and interesting safe travels
Thanks Allan,........sometimes I amaze myself how easy it is for Sue & I to have fun,.....
Enjoyed the stand-up improv Mark😅love Bass Pro Shop. Love Tom and Stacy they talk like me😅😅😅 Safe Travels!!!
Tom & Stacy were the highlight of our Memphis visit this time around!
Pocket fishing pole…!!! I love it..
The best! I wanted to use a photo I found on line of the Pocket Fisherman by Ron Popeil but it was copyrighted!
Bass Pro Shop tip for the women: Give a man a fish and you feed him for the day, let him buy a fishing rod and you get rid of him for the whole weekend. 🎣
Yes! Another tip would be: Tell him HE is cleaning and cooking what he brings home! That will turn him into a catch & release guy!
I watched this pyramid many days when my son-in-law was at St Jude's hospital. It was vacant then. Yes he survived cancer thanks to St Jude. Tom Sawyers rv park is great also.
The best news is your son-in-law made it through that awful time,........thank God for places like St Jude & Ronald McDonald House!
Many thanks for a more in-depth video, just love you 2 for your back street humor.
Thanks for checking in Chief.
Mark you showed out on this video, very funny.
We had a fun 6 hours at the "Shop" that day!
Your welcome Adam!
Great video! Thanks!
Glad you liked it guys!
Fun video thanks for sharing and Thanks From Wisconsin
Glad you enjoyed it Robert.
Another great video. Safe travels!
Thanks guys!
Mark that was funny you saying you talk to Sue through those sewer hoses! Somehow I don’t think those would work. Lol! 😂😂🤣🤣
It worked great until I had to use one of them,..........then,...not so much.
@@OurJourneyInMyles
😂😂😂 I love that Mark that it worked only in the one.
Yes that is an amazing place. We didn't get to stop this time. We stayed at Tom Sawyer's RV Park, West Memphis AR not at the KOA you guys stopped at after the customer appreciation rally. We are now up near That little falls on the Niagara river.
This was just one of those fun "gems" you find along the way.
Haha
Funny stuff!
I think I want to visit now!
I think folks should make it a stop at the end of the day exploring Memphis,.........and of course eat in the restaurant up on top!
I love the chan man tips....lol you two have a great channel
Thanks David,.........we really appreciate the kind comment.
That place is huge! I could spend the whole day there. Enjoyed the video, thanks for posting!
That's what we thought,.....and that's what we did! Thanks for watching,....

Another item to add to our bucket list. Great video and thanks for sharing
We must be simple minded,....because we sure had a fun day there!
Tom Sawyer Rv park is right on the Mississippi and is very close to downtown Memphis… you get to watch the barges/tugs from the campground
We will try that place next time!
Great video guys! Awesome store! We are in Pigeon Forge.
Thanks for watching! We will be in Pigeon Forge in October 2023!

Memphis is a terrific destination, and hope that you had some time to sample some of the local BBQ...there really are no bad choices
We did that LAST time. This trip was more of a RUclips working and tourist type visit.

Tell her it could be a free birthday present "date night/day trip" for you! Offer to stay at the Hotel!!!
Sue, you are so lucky to be married to Marco.

Awesome....no gun museum?
Actually the ducks unlimited museum area had a ton of shot guns and target rifles in there. Too scary for me to spend too much time in!
Great episode. I was disappointed however that you did not give any engineering tips or secrets concerning the building of the pyramid. After all the pyramids are one of the seven wonders of the world.
Funny you should ask that! Check this out for an in depth story about the history of the Memphis Pyramid! ruclips.net/video/FEB-YG2iiYA/видео.html
Fascinating history of the Pyramid of Doom. Thanks, Mark.
Montgomery, AL has lots of Civil Rights History as well as Civil War. We really enjoyed the CRs museums.

You did not show the Ducks unlimited museum
It was not as exciting as all the other stuff we showed! Next time,.....
My girlfriends middle name is Lorraine, after that Motel.
Now you HAVE to take her to visit the Museum!
It’s so dark inside
Yes, it was a challenge for these old eyes, but it is so large inside the I can see that it must suck up lumens like a black hole!
I can’t believe it cost $10.00 if you are staying at the hotel to go up the stairs to the restaurant.
It was only $8 each for us,......and free to Hotel Guests.
@@OurJourneyInMyles
Oh ok! Not too bad then!
No need to stay at the cracker barrel; you can stay in the bass pro shops parking lot.
I forgot about that. Doesn't get any better than that!
