Sword Symphony - Sword martial arts and stunts - A musical sword form. Mix of oriental sword arts and extreme sword forms expressed in a sword dance. Night time performance.
i think the best way to learn the use of a sword is to learn it by yourself .... i'm training martial arts since im 12 years old , armed and not armed techniques .... and the best skills that i've learned where the skills that i teached myself ....... tom roach youre great ....
a really good clip... Tom Roach, my greatings and respect... the martial art is a way... a symphonie... sometimes 2 ways are similar, but ever individual... a master can teach you to begin the way... but you have to walk...
i wouldnt underestimate a INDIVIDUAL trained for the sword no matter how good i think i am.. i learned my lesson for that awhile ago.. peace and many greetings. your style of fighting maybe different than mine, but like dogs, and cats.. the only difference is that one bites, while the other tends to scratch, both like all have a heart, and spirit, even like a sword..when one cant see it.. i hope you continue to respect your sword, by tributing yourself to show your skill.
Its a small part of a much longer poem i wrote a while back.. the idea of being 'shrouded' all the time by a unknown and uncontrollable feeling or desire was inspired by a line in a Terry Brooks novel i once read. so cred' goes to him.
Everything in the is just so inspiring!! Your spirit, the music, the style, it's just great! I have one question: Do you study any particular art or are you self taught?
That music works far better than the rock shite that people insist on putting all over this sort of thing usually. Sword forms are a thing of beauty, and the music should reflect that.
This guy is not in the tradition of the iai-do, but sure he is prodigious. With experience and lot of work on himselfy, he will become a sword master, in artistic form, celerity and accuracy. Impressive !
awesome m8;) i'd love to have some kind of bokken fight with u, try 2 make a vid soon, similar style to ur 1H one, without throwings:) can get many inspiration frm ur vids, GZ:)
Holy hell. This man fights like I do, like liquid mercury, never quite staying in one place. My weapon is the rapier. Trust me. Most people teach lunge then slash. I was taught that the rapier was a slashing weapon first. But this guy makes anyone who's ever learned to kick ass with a sword and look good too (like me) look bad. Hell, I'm nothin compared to you man.
Very nice! Good forms, need to work on using your left hand a little more. Take it from one who knows...tie your right hand up and practice with your left in the same way you do your right. Looks awesome when you are doing the same with both hands...so I'm told. Keep up the great work! You are doing justice to all who inspire to practice Swords.
Nice video m8 :) I'm training in kenvert aswell but i havent actuly a trainer near where i am living, i've used youtube videos this far, could you advice some webpage or a book or something that gives a bit of a better guidance? :)
I want to know hwo you did the blurring effect. THAT was awesome, as was the rest of the vid. And I agree KaosuVolt, a jian would be particularly beautiful in your hands, but the katana didn't betray you either. A simply mezmorizing video.
Dude, even though it looks staged, this guy is very good, in atleast two or three martial arts, and besides Akido, once you get good enough, can disarm anyone, or very nearly.
I love prodigy, and the pace of the music certianly fits your style! But the opening 40 seconds is slower movements and the slower music fits well there. Maybe break up the music? ;) You inspire the hell out of me, man! keep it up! awesome work!
BladefulArt This is a very striking and beautifully artistic video but please remember that this is a dance...don't get carried away how "lethal" it may or may not be; to me that detracts from the art being presented.
am i wrong or ist there no tsuba? i like that very much, the tsuba distorts me while handling the sword, i like it plane, like a stick! nice video anyway, your skill is awesome, keep going m8!
there`s no Kendo, more Iaido like and some mixed stuff like Capoeira + some streetfight elements + some theatrical&impractical. But still kick ass. Good exhibition. 5/5 Thanx
Cool, wery good, but as excalibur had mentioned its inly ment for show, fighting style like this would defenetly be defeated by kenjutsu or with a pair of dao's = ), tho I gots to admit, those moves ROCK FOR SHOW!!!

obokuri Eeumi (or more correctly, Obokuri-Ee Umi) by Ikune Asazaki.
The song means 'obtain bearing' i think.
Please, never delete this video!
It is so inspiring and skilled, thanks for posting this quite a while ago, much respect.
i wouldnt underestimate a INDIVIDUAL trained for the sword no matter how good i think i am.. i learned my lesson for that awhile ago.. peace and many greetings.

Fantastic choice of music!
Asazaki Ikue's Utabautayun was a brilliant CD and obokuri eeumi was a perfect song! Seriously amazing choice.

That music works far better than the rock shite that people insist on putting all over this sort of thing usually.
Sword forms are a thing of beauty, and the music should reflect that.

Awesome vid! I wonder how you did that kind of video fx and what edit program did you use?

hey :) ..yeah no tsuba. Usually use common katana's which do though.
where did you learn how to use a sword. i cant find a dojo that teaches sword mastery. just TKD and judo
I bet you'd feel even more at home using a jian.
Nice XMAing, seriously.
beautiful
Nice ballet dance.
Dude, even though it looks staged, this guy is very good, in atleast two or three martial arts, and besides Akido, once you get good enough, can disarm anyone, or very nearly.
Kenvert, as it's commonly called.
It's a variant of kendo, I believe.
I love prodigy, and the pace of the music certianly fits your style! But the opening 40 seconds is slower movements and the slower music fits well there. Maybe break up the music? ;)
You inspire the hell out of me, man! keep it up! awesome work!

nice video tom, keep on your work and improve it...

this would be 10 times as cool if you wore a ninja outfit when you did this.. lol
where is that quote in the description from??
very appropriate
completly agree, my kattas loose though more swaying leaf style i guess, so his style wont mesh im jealous haha
well, now im pretty sure that there is no tsuba, a so called shirasaya-katana, meaning "white scabbard-katana" if so is interested ;)
interesting video I always thought you xma types were just a bunch of punk teenagers who did tricks but you changed my perspective
Cool, wery good, but as excalibur had mentioned its inly ment for show, fighting style like this would defenetly be defeated by kenjutsu or with a pair of dao's =
