From the perspective of a speedrunner this video just reinforces to me that there's nobody better suited to leading the Crash franchise than Toys for Bob.
Debatable cause we have yet seen what Vicarious Visions could do in making a new adventure Crash game on the big screen. Was pretty surprised that they weren't in charge of making CB4.
Devs always pretend to feel so humiliated by the speedruners when it really is the ultimate way of showing respect to them. It means someone loved your game enough to spend A LOT of hours mastering it.

It is essentially free to be reinterpreted, reinvented, destroyed, rebuilt, etc. Speedrunners break down a game without tons of hours of dedicated gameplay, using exploits and glitches. It's a different type of respect, a type of collaboration that turns a game into a canvas, although through identifying the quirks and flaws that a developer may of left in the game intentionally or not. Sometimes speedruns don't use glitches at all!

Hey devs! As someone who breaks out of bounds in games as a hobby, Yes we run into walls and corners and other objects and assets. We find something that works funny and we keep poking at it until it breaks. There's always this amazing feeling of discovery when you find a seem for a world and shove yourself through it :)

When devs are cool like this and realize that Therese more than one way to play a game (casual, speedruner, competitive etc) and kind of cater to each crowd all in one game. It adds to value of the game and replay ability.

These devs should be proud. Most Speed runs of games are like sub 10 or even up to 30 mins tops. At least this one banked a nice hour plus. =) I will say the devs in this video were some of the most entertaining from this series.

That part of watching speed runs always gets me too, when people are pulling off the craziest of moves, and just casually holding a conversation with the chat. This is a great series, since I've always wondered how Devs feel about speed running. I know a lot of Indie devs create their games to be speed ran(?).
In relation to Ika-Ika shenanigans, I found a softlock... in Shipping Error (and the level it's tied to), once you get to the first Ika-Ika, it is possible to use it to go _backwards_ out of the tube. The mask doesn't despawn, and if you make it out entirely, you can get stuck above the level, with a Restart being your only remedy. Normally this wouldn't be considered "casual play", but considering Crash Landed has a Hidden Gem hidden in pretty much the same manner... well, how could I _not_ check that?
Give these developers a show because they are downright hilarious.
