Seems like a great example of people with different attachment styles. One runs toward love and intimacy and the other runs away from it. As children, one probably sought mommy out and the other swatted mommy away. Very different experiences and ways of being in the world. I think Jorge said it best when he said “you want it to end and I always want it to work out.” Another huge difference is perfectly illustrated by one’s preference for loud “domineering” farts. Very very different type of dudes in many ways. Great questions, Jordana!!! Overall a brilliant show, gang! 🎉
It’s easy to live in “happy soulmate” land when you meet your partner early in life. Not everyone is lucky enough to find love, yes outlook on life may have affect on your outcomes for sure, but we can’t forget about people’s circumstances and why they look at life in certain ways. Jared’s outlook is a lot more realistic I feel like. I also am more attracted to guys who aren’t that sensitive... Could be my own unhealed trauma or just a personal preference. Idkkk. Who knows anymore! We’re all f*kd up lol
I think there are definitely guys who want to get into relationships like Jorge, and they go for it with a positive mind-set in their mid 20s, but I don't know if that is most men in the dating scene at the moment. I think Jared's take on things is more realistic / true representation in my experience. 🙂

Jorge's perspective was wildly different from Jared's wow!!! In terms of viewing these two men as potential dating partners they couldn't be more different. How Jared would treat you vs how Jorge would treat you. Jared's insight into the "typical" male on a dating app is SO USEFUL and has helped me so much to weed out the men who aren't taking things seriously, don't really want to commit, and are all jokes all the times. Jorge gives everyone hope that there are males who aren't afraid to be in a committed relationship and are excited at each stage and step towards building a future together. He is hopeful and optimistic! After each relationship Jorge seems like he never became discouraged or changed his view on dating. He was eternally optimistic that he would meet his person and always looked for signs that it was easy, effortless, and so comfortable. Yes it is totally luck to meet a soulmate and he might have had better luck than Jared. But it's interesting that after each relationship it seems like Jared operated completely completely different and he adjusted and went 180 on his views like not posting as a couple on instagram despite being in a relationship, taking 8 months to commit, not really wanting to move in together that fast.

What a great episode! Trying to date in my 60's... I liked the different male perspectives that were similar. Jordana's thoughts mirrored mine
I would say that jared and jorge are quite similar! The fundamental difference is that jared hasn't found his soul mate yet!

Jorge said his partner could have any occupation as long as they’re passionate about it. What about if she’s passionate about OF?
So Jorge basically broke his own Soulmate theory. He has found the ONE, for now. Almost everyone thinks at some point in their life that they have found the one, but than it turns out not to be the one. And especially if you are older you need to drop that waiting for THE ONE romantic idea, because actually that is what keeps people away from finding a good partner.
