In 2011 also, RSRTC started Volvo service for Mumbai...and that time,the fare was 2000 approx.

The bus terminates at Kalyan (Its not in Mumbai District , Its In Thane District ) But its okay as Kalyan is well connected with Mumbai Suburban Railway

I am bit surprised there is no volvo or Mercedes on such a long route. Maharastra has introduced volvo for their mumbai pune and some of other routes in 2006 only
RSRTC serves Volvo and Scania in northern routes like Dehradun, Shimla,Jammu, haridwar etc. RSRTC is the first in country to provide luxury bus service in India.
Plus rsrtc have Volvo scania Mercedes Benz isuzu none other state corporation have all of these ❤
