Thank you! I really enjoyed working on this as it was the first 15mm figures I had painted in a long time. My German battalion is completed and I'm currently half way through the Soviet battalion 😃👍
Cheers Alex, much appreciated! Your videos and the game that you ran at Crack Con were definitely inspirational in this current obsession. I certainly have a new found love for 15mm gaming again 😀
Cheers buddy, that's awesome! Thank you, the HQ base was a lot of fun to build and, while not strictly required,it certainly does add something to the overall look of the army 😀
Thanks Ken! I've watched quite a few battle reports and I've been really impressed with the game overall. Definitely one I'm looking forward to getting started with 😀👍
Cheers buddy, much appreciated! I'm super proud of this army, both the time that it took to paint and the way that it ended up looking. I've just started painting the opposing German army so hope to be able to get a few games in soon. The YG podcast was a lot of fun to do, we never imagined it would end up being so long! 😀
Lovely painted army and based, nice different bases to differentiate. Always fun and easy to paint 15mm. Now is time for a german army! Zvezda kits are a nice addition 👌 cheap and fit perfect with bf once painted.
Thanks Lucian! I'm finishing another Bolt Action project before moving onto my 15mm German army but I remember you combining a lot of the Zvesda kits with your Flames of War Germans and they looked really good. Definitely something I'll keep in mind 😀👍
Cheers Cal, much appreciated mate! First time I had attempted to paint 15mm for a few years so it was actually really enjoyable painting at a different scale for a change 😀
Cheers! That's one thing that I definitely aimed for across the whole project with the basing tying the whole battalion together. Thankfully the coloured tufts didn't look out of place 😀
Outstanding figures! I've got my first 2 games knocked out, fantastic rule set. I was really expecting some "speed metal" to be playing as the background music of your video! Have fun painting the Germans and have a great weekend Brother 👍
Cheers buddy, much appreciated! Enjoyed every minute of painting these and definitely seem to have my mojo back for painting 15mm. I'm half way through your first O Group video and that's a fantastic set up you have! Definitely agree it's a fantastic system 😀👍
Cheers buddy, this was a thoroughly enjoyable project to work on and was all completed in just over three weeks. I'm about a third way through my German force and thinking about making a video on the progress so far 😀
Cheers Stu! This was an absolute joy to work on and I'm already looking forward to making a start on my new German project. Its been really interesting seeing your 15mm Battlegroup project too. I've a couple of Pacific armies at 28mm but 15mm certainly looks interesting 😀
@@OnPointHQ When I started the project I went for single basing with movement trays, partly because of casualty removal, but also because I have never seen sure I liked the FOW basing look for armies, but your army has given me a serious wobble. I’m not considering going for FOW style basing as I really like what you’ve done.
Thanks Jon! I was a little unsure about the basing at first as I didn't want to swamp the figures so to speak. I think I struck a happy medium. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment 😀👍
This video is brilliant Ste, I hadn't noticed the colour coding for the infantry companies...superb. Inspiring mate...simply inspiring. I blame Alex too.... I played my only game at Crack Con 2 and was hooked. The abstract nature of how the forces are portrayed is brilliant ...for goodness sakes it could be played with Lego bricks, but it allows such freedom of expression too... God I'm waffling... it's been a long day
Cheers Tim, really glad you enjoyed the video! I wanted some way of distinguishing between the companies and that's a very simple way of doing it. Alex's game at Crack Con looked absolutely stunning and I can certainly see why so many people have been inspired to get into O Group 😀
Cheers dude! Well I remembered that I saw Lloyd's video many years ago and the idea clearly stuck. A really simple way of distinguishing between bases 😀
Thank you, much appreciated! The basing was just a very simple way of differentiating between the platoons and companies but it works really well and adds to the overall look 😀👍
Thank you, much appreciated! It took a little get used to working in 15mm again after a few years away from it but I enjoy every minute of this. In fact it was all I worked on for three weeks. I'd definitely recommend having a go 😀
On the subject of Lindybeige those troops are based perfectly for crossfire, I'd be interested to hear your opinions on that if ever you give it a go...
I've watched quite a few videos and have always been intrigued by the mechanics in Crossfire, they definitely bring a new dimension to tabletop wargaming. Definitely one for the future I think 😀
Thanks Matt! I really did enjoy working on this and I was quite surprised just how quickly how I managed to fly through it. I've also finished a German battalion and I'm currently working on a Soviet battalion at the moment. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment 😀👍
That's awesome, thank you! I really enjoyed working on the command HQ and didn't really plan for it to end up looking that way. A very enjoyable project to work on 😀
It was very much a case of 'I really hope that this works!' But I think it really made the overall model look better. I'm not a fan of separate tracks at 28mm but 15mm.....arghhhhh!! 😃👍
Cheers Phil! I really enjoyed working on the HQ base and decided to something a little bit special for this. All built and painted in a couple of hours too 😀
Thanks Aled! It had been a while since I had painted 15mm so I was a little unsure how I'd take to it again but I've enjoyed every minute of this. Your US project looked stunning 😀
Cheers mate, much appreciated! It took me a while to settle on a basing scheme as I think that sometimes 15mm can look a little bit swamped. Very happy with these 😀
Cheers buddy, much appreciated! The bases are Vallejo mud, clump foliage and a selection of tufts from the Warpainter tufts box. Very simple to make and they are great for distinguishing between the different platoons 😀
Thanks Paul, much appreciated! I was really undecided with the basing as I didn't want the figures to be swamped at this scale. But I'm really very happy with how these all turned out. I'm currently working on their German opposition 😀
Thanks Justin, the HQ base was really a lot of fun to work and a bit different to the other bits and pieces. Definitely a game I would thoroughly recommend 😀
Yes the hands are talking again for this video, excellent Ste very French and very descriptive. Are you going to do scouting markers for each platoon with the same basing technique?
I never realised I talked with my hands until now! Yeah I'm currently working with some poker chips to make some combat patrol markers and I'll be using the same basing technique for these 😀
Cheers buddy! I can imagine that any basing would be suitable for O Group as the basing element is very flexible with no set rules. I would definitely look into it 😀
Cheers! The Battlefront miniatures are an absolute joy to work with, full of detail and character and the vehicles kits go together so well. They will definitely be my go to for my future 15mm armies 😀
Thanks Gary, very happy with it and looking forward to more 15mm armies! Sure, my paint holders are the modular kits by Vallejo. They are made of MDF very sturdy and go together really well and 😀
Cheers Don! I really never thought I would actually finish this but it has definitely made me want to paint more 15mm! I'm going to look at making a few videos about how I painted these 😀👍
Cheers John, seemed I got myself a tad confused there so thanks for the clarification, much appreciated! If I was Dom maybe it would be next week but I'm probably aiming for next month 😃
Thanks Jeremy! I definitely have a new found interest in painting 15mm after finishing this. With regards to varnishing I don't tend to varnish no. 99% of my figures are plastic and the only figures I've ever really varnished were the metal miniatures from the Strontium Dog starter box 😀
Thanks Leon! The infantry and vehicles are on standard Flames of War bases and the AT guns are on bases I've made by gluing MDF bases together. Let me get the army out of its storage box and I'll get you the exact measurements 😃👍
Ive been slowly repainting my people who look awful and washes do the trick. My germans look pretty rough but i made some acrilic wash and they are so much better but still not close to yours.
I have definitely found that that at this scale that washes are certainly the way to go. There is less emphasis on detail but more focus on the overall look of the whole project 😀👍
Looks great! Thank you for showing this Outstanding Britsh Force. 😊
Thank you! I really enjoyed working on this as it was the first 15mm figures I had painted in a long time. My German battalion is completed and I'm currently half way through the Soviet battalion 😃👍
Great video and it's been excellent to see this project coming together as you've been posting images. Thanks for the shout out as well!
Cheers Alex, much appreciated! Your videos and the game that you ran at Crack Con were definitely inspirational in this current obsession. I certainly have a new found love for 15mm gaming again 😀
@@OnPointHQ It's good to see and it has certainly got a lot of love going for OG through PCP, so that's always good thing!
Ah the talking hands are back! Awesome job Ste. Love the force
I never realised that I had talking hands! Cheers Dom, you and Alex are definitely responsible for this! 😆
Great collection of troops and love the HQ base. Well done.
Cheers buddy, that's awesome! Thank you, the HQ base was a lot of fun to build and, while not strictly required,it certainly does add something to the overall look of the army 😀
Nicely done Ste! A fun set of rules, I think the game play works really well.
Thanks Ken! I've watched quite a few battle reports and I've been really impressed with the game overall. Definitely one I'm looking forward to getting started with 😀👍
Well done, Ste! The army looks great. I really like your style of video. Enjoyed the podcast interview with Yarkshire Gamer too.

These all turned out great, with a consistent look across the units even with the color coded foliage

Brilliant work with this awesome British army . The command base is really superb . Very inspiring !
That's awesome, thank you! I really enjoyed working on the command HQ and didn't really plan for it to end up looking that way. A very enjoyable project to work on 😀
Great idea for the Track swap on the Firefly, yes its definitely a pain putting those PSC tracks together!

Great work ste that really is a great force you have there I really like your basing on the miniatures
Cheers mate, much appreciated! It took me a while to settle on a basing scheme as I think that sometimes 15mm can look a little bit swamped. Very happy with these 😀

@@OnPointHQ which German formation Ste?
I'm currently working on a standard battalion from the O Group book but with quite a fair bit of armoured support 😀
Brilliant stuff ste the command section is just wonderful,I've looked at this game a few times
Thanks Justin, the HQ base was really a lot of fun to work and a bit different to the other bits and pieces. Definitely a game I would thoroughly recommend 😀

Those bases look amazing
That's awesome thank you! They are mostly Vallejo mud, Army Painter flock and various tufts from Warpainter 😃
Awesome work Ste I better get cracking on my first force of 44 US army. I blame Dom and Alex as well lol
Cheers mate! I have found it to be one of the most addictive projects that I've worked on in a long time, that pair are definitely to blame 😀
Stunning man. My stuff is based for company level fireball forward. Good to know I can easily use them in this as Id love to give it a bash.
Cheers buddy! I can imagine that any basing would be suitable for O Group as the basing element is very flexible with no set rules. I would definitely look into it 😀
Great work as usual
Thanks Gary, much appreciated buddy 😀👍
Amazing work. The detail is unreal
Cheers! The Battlefront miniatures are an absolute joy to work with, full of detail and character and the vehicles kits go together so well. They will definitely be my go to for my future 15mm armies 😀
Hello Ste - fantastic force you have created there. Also, can I ask where you got your paint bottle stands from please?
Thanks Gary, very happy with it and looking forward to more 15mm armies! Sure, my paint holders are the modular kits by Vallejo. They are made of MDF very sturdy and go together really well and 😀
Brilliant stuff, Ste. I hope my British project comes out looking even half as nice.
Cheers Don! I really never thought
I would actually finish this but it has definitely made me want to paint more 15mm! I'm going to look at making a few videos about how I painted these 😀👍
Recce is a Daimler A/C and a Dingo. Not a scout car in sight. You know better! 😉 Nice looking project. I assume the Germans will feature next week? 🤣
Cheers John, seemed I got myself a tad confused there so thanks for the clarification, much appreciated! If I was Dom maybe it would be next week but I'm probably aiming for next month 😃
Awesome work Ste. I have a question for you regarding varnish. Do you tend to varnish your figures?
Thanks Jeremy! I definitely have a new found interest in painting 15mm after finishing this. With regards to varnishing I don't tend to varnish no. 99% of my figures are plastic and the only figures I've ever really varnished were the metal miniatures from the Strontium Dog starter box 😀
What size are the bases? They do look good!
Thanks Leon! The infantry and vehicles are on standard Flames of War bases and the AT guns are on bases I've made by gluing MDF bases together. Let me get the army out of its storage box and I'll get you the exact measurements 😃👍
