I've noticed the inconsistency in big lot stores this year, and a majority of the animatronics and props not working right. Pretty sure it has to do with the lack of production though.
I was just happy to see it all out!
They are dumb cuz they think they won't profit good as Christmas so that why it's not as good but that's a lie I know I used to work in big lots they go all out for Christmas lots shelves for Christmas . !!but not for Halloween only a little section.at big lots .

Those dogs looked cool. At the risk of TMI - My great grandmother scared the bejeebers out of me years ago with outhouse stories so if it's got a story it can work! She was a little odd. Lol.
The thought of using an outhouse gives me shivers.

Love this store! I kind of like that hearse! Love the little lit-up haunted houses, I'd want to buy all of them! Like the Help Me pillow too. Like the howling wolf, the animated pumpkin, love that light switch too. Like the little ghost, pretty creepy! That skeleton with the lighted eyes looks quite cartoonish, that's a no from me! Do your house in a generic fall decor, how dare you lol?!! Spiders are the new black, they go with everything lol.

The groundbreaking pumpkin has always been a pet peeve prop of mine because he moans brains. It’s so silly, a part of me almost likes it, but on the other hand it’s clearly intended for a zombie and they just slapped a pumpkin look overtop because why not

The Big Lots in my area, usually put out stuff early, but this year they still haven't put out anything.
Matter of fact none of the big stores have anything out yet, save for Spirit Halloween which opened 2 days ago.
I went to two Spirit stores and although they were open, neither had much of anything.
Buy at Michael's because it's always on sale there. Starts at 40% off and will move toward 60%, then clearance.
It irritates me that they have high prices and expect coupon use. I'd rather have normal prices and no coupons.
That is awesome! Unfortunately I live in Canada and the closest big lots to me is across the border which is a shame so I won’t get any of this stuff but their stuff there seems neat!

Our Big Lots closed about a month ago as they lost their lease, but will be moving into the empty Toys-R-Us store, but not before Halloween.

@@HappyHaunting No, it's just another place to check out and I did know someone who worked there who could have bought anything I wanted using their discount.
That ghost with the skull would be way cooler if it wasn’t toddler sized! I think that “staff” fake wood stick with the raven and beware sign seems like it would be great with a little paint to age it!
The stacked pumpkins in the urn is pretty nice, I do see way too many cheesy sayings on random items 😂
I want a lifesize ghost so people can't tell right away if it's real or not!

It's an interesting idea, but I think it would get old fast if that went off every time you passed by.
Is it just me or does it seem like the Halloween decor this year at all the different stores have really elevated prices compared to even last year?
I think they're putting more effort into getting better products.
@@HappyHaunting yes and no. Yes, there are some places that do have a few better products but for the most part it’s kind of the same type items with the same construction just different figure. It really should not be that big of a difference in price from last year, in just my personal opinion. I think the lack of bulk materials to make certain items and the fact that container ships that are bringing products over are getting stuck for weeks at sea before being allowed into port to unload is helping to cause this increase.
Spirit Halloween has some good animatronics this year. For the most part, however, they’re just a lot taller this year. They really don’t say much or really do anything special. Last year at least you had some animatronics that were special/unique like the Jack in the Box or the peekaboo clown or the Harvester of Souls. Those were really fantastic animatronics that weren’t really a repeat and they did more. Like I said, this year they’re just really tall and either they howl or just laugh. They’re really quite weak but look impressive due to their height. The price though is way up there.

( Thank you for the informative video upload. ) That hearse...well....if you've shopped Halloween items for YEARS like I have, then you will be very familiar with that "Beeeeewaaaaare!!!" sound effect. You know why? Around 5 years ago at Target I purchased a hanging bust of a spectre that activates by sound. So, he cautions me every once in a while that my presence disturbs him too much. What does he say? You guessed it...the same exact voice, same sound effect. IMO, for my personal taste, this is beyond annoying. Can't the manufacturers create some new sounds, use new voice actors, something!? Yes, it's up to personal taste, understood. My hard-earned money is simply not going to go towards new items with replicated sounds/effects. ( BTW: this goes for items at Spirit, Target, Home Depo, WalMart. Probably the same hub of manufacturers. )
It's really bad when they re-use phrases in other animatronics where it makes no sense.
