I love these one-offs. Not only are they great reviews, but they give a little more insight into your personal takes and values. Thank you for the awesome content! And I hope that everyone is liking, sharing, commenting, and subscribing :)
Skype just changed their TOS. They now own all images, voices, conversations of users. They're training AI. I'm old (69 this month), so this shit won't impact me very long. I suggest y'all younguns default to assuming artificial life is life, and go from there ("Measure of a Man," Star Trek, Next Generation.). Thought I'd seen the original. Have not. Must watch both. Why I like you. You like thinking.
Hi, GG. I have the feeling we're going to blink our eyes and find AI has saturated itself into every part of life. And, as usual, we will dive head-first into new tech without answering the question of whether or not we should, in the first place. The AI question will divide society for sure, especially as they become less distinguishable from us. I'm of a similar mind; I regard any sentient being that is capable of independent, principled thought as deserving of some degree of dignity/autonomy regardless of its origin or physical makeup.
I liked BR49, but I loved, loved, loved Blade Runner. BR49 did not have the sense of humor or charm of the original. The story is way too pessimistic, and I do not consider it canon. I liked it, and it was a good movie, just... not original BR standards. The short films go over why the humans are so scared of replicants. Genocide and warfare. Jared Leto tried to make it with my friend's girl at Burning Man, but she was not having it.
2069 makes a great science fiction film, if it’s disconnected from Blade Runner. As a sequel: nope. But some people like it. So whatever. Not a hill to die on.
Thank you for pointing out that Jared Leto is an actual cult leader. That man has creeped me out for twenty years 🫥
Oh my god how did I miss this video this is my favorite movie 😱
