I'm very geriatric 😂. 45 years old and 10.5 weeks pregnant. This will be my 6th child and my baby just turned 11 last weekend. I had 3 miscarriages between 37-39 and gave up after that but now know it was hormone related. I've been an RN for many years but turned holistic practitioner a little over a year ago. Thanks to you, I found AFPA and have several certifications. I just finished the Pre and Post- Natal certification a month before I got pregnant. I've been extremely exhausted but since I've switched up my supplements I'm finally starting to feel better. No cravings yet. I usually get those later in pregnancy. Prayers for a healthy pregnancy and don't let anyone make you think you're old.
Love this!! Such an inspiration! And, it goes to show that we don't have to lose hope even into our 40s. If this pregnancy goes smoothly, we'd like to try for another when I'm around 40, so hearing your story is encouraging. And, I'm so glad you found AFPA! Great institution!
I know! His reaction was so pure and sweet. He’s not a crier either so his tears made me cry even harder 😩🥹 And, yes, I can’t wait to get into making homemade baby food! 🤗
Maybe even learn how to make your own formula if something happens and breast feeding is an issue. Formula over the counter is FULL of sugar I’ve been told.
CONGRATULATIONS! I've been pregnant four times and each time, I suffered horrible nausea, but never to the point of actually throwing up. I was no fun to be around because I felt miserable for about three or four months and spent most of that time lying down. But with my last two pregnancies, I had nausea off and on after the four months up to about the seventh month. In my second pregnancy, I had to quit my new job because I kept falling asleep at the desk and I was the receptionist at CBS for the news anchors. Not a good look! I was either in the lunchroom, because I was always hungry and they had REALLY GOOD FOOD, or I was asleep at my desk, head down on my crossed arms. I decided to leave before I got fired. No matter how much sleep I got and how early I went to bed, it wasn't enough. With that pregnancy, I kept smelling pasta sauce and it made me feel nauseous. I lived in an apartment complex and I felt like I could smell my neighbors' dinner and it seemed that they always cooked with pasta sauce. With my thrid pregnancy I craved onions! RAW ONIONS! I ate it like an apple. Just bit into it and went to town on it. Salt and pepper on it and I was good to go. I ate a lot of yogurt because that staved off the nausea. That baby was almost 10 pounds. I don't remember anything unusual with the first and fourth pregnancies though. But as awful as some of that stuff was, it was all worth it when I held those babies in my arms! 😁
I actually cried when I saw your reveal video with your husband. I'm so happy for you both!! I would love to see the non-toxic beauty routine videos you suggested, as well as all of your pregnancy meal-prep videos. All your videos are wonderfully helpful, and I think those would be a great addition to an already impressive lineup.
Congratulations!! You both are going to be very great parents ❤ my first trimester was mostly food aversion. What helped me (it might not sound very graceful) was to just get it over with first thing in the morning. I could fight the urge to purge all day but I realized that I'd end up feeling much better if I just did it. If you can manage to keep it at bay then don't have to do it. And pears were excellent when helping me with constipation 😌 The soreness was also next level. So daily walks became my new excersise routine along with daily naps 🤭. Also there were times I felt very alone but I had a friend breakup so the hormones made me feel even worse. Just always have fellowship. It's good for the heart but I have a feeling your going to be just fine in that arena. And lastly enjoy as much of it as you can. I remember when I was pregnant I felt like I was pregnant for forever! Looking back now it was really such a short season of my life. But God bless you guys. I know your going to do great in all trimesters ❤
Congratulations 🎉❤ The fact that I just found your channel and I have been watching your videos because I am going on a health journey, your videos are so helpful and it’s definitely going to get me started on my journey
I’m almost done with the 1st trimester with my second baby. Both times so far I’ve had hardly any nausea but terrible bloat, insomnia, nightmares, and lower back pain right off the bat. It’s so fun hearing about different cravings! I craved canned peaches, In N Out french fries with spread, salmon and eggs, nutty buttys, and Doritos. One craving I didn’t get to satisfy for both of these pregnancies is the discontinued peanut butter cheerios. It still has my feelings hurt! 😂 This time I’ve been craving savory foods and chicken salad. I’m so happy you’re about to experience your second trimester and feel more like yourself and enjoy that baby bump!
Congrats on your pregnancy! And, I can completely relate on the bloating. The only thing that has helped me with that is the Just Thrive spore probiotic. It doesn't make it go away fully but it does help! Consider yourself lucky you didn't have any nausea lol... neither my stepmom nor my mother-in-law had nausea with any of their kids. Omg - the PB cheerios... I remember those lol! That's how I felt about not being able to have a red frutopia 🤣 Wishing you all the best with the remainder of your pregnancy!! 🎉
Both of my pregnancies were completely different, but with my daughter I was nauseous for pretty much the entire time (7months!). The only thing that helped me was lemons, lots of lemons. I would make a pitcher of tea in the fridge with tons of lemon. Congratulations & thank you for sharing your journey with us!❤️
Congratulations! Love this! I’m 45 with 7 kids ages 5-25 had my last baby at 39. I was sick with all 7 the whole 9 months, I also craved cold fruit, party mix salty lol salad with my 2 babies. I would love to watch more about your daily routine and what you eat in a day. Again congratulations ❤
Congratulations Kayla! Yes, can you please share some non-toxic skin care routines. As far as tips, I would just say to enjoy every minute and take lots of videos when baby arrives. Also, to trust your gut, and not rely too much on what other people tell you to do or what books say. You have to get to know your own baby and their needs.
Tysm for the advice! Trusting my gut has been something I've really been trying to focus on here lately. With so much information online nowadays, it's easy to feel overwhelmed with information overload. So, bringing it back to ground zero and just listening to my body and natural instincts is def something I'm working on! I'll be sure to add the non-toxic beauty routine to my video list!
Congrats on the pregnancy! I am 10 weeks pregnant and have been using your food prep videos for some time. Love your content! I can totally relate to this video as it seems like all my healthy food cravings went out the window once I hit week 7. Hello carbs on carbs! Thanks for your honesty about how you've been eating and your experience. It gives me hope the nausea won't last forever. 😂 Thanks again!
Congratulations!!! We are also expecting our first baby! I’m 28 weeks pregnant. I'm also gluten-free, so it was strange when I started craving hotdogs. I've experienced extreme fatigue and nausea, but like you, eating something every 2 to 3 hours has helped. Another craving during my first trimester was chips. Knowing that even health nuts like you experience these cravings and symptoms makes me feel less guilty when indulging. Thank you for sharing! 💙🙌🏽
Congrats Kayla I’m so happy for you both 🤍 I’m a mom of two, my cravings with my first (girl) were lots of junk food (pizza, chicken sandwiches, takeout etc.) and I never eat that way so it caught me off guard. With my second (boy) I craved more healthy foods like fruit, salads etc. I had very vivid dreams with both of my pregnancies! So excited to watch your journey into motherhood! 💕
Congratulations to you guys!!! So happy that you spoke about "balance" and giving in to the pregnancy cravings (even the unhealthy ones). I have both a son & daughter and I have to say I definitely had the sweet cravings with my daughter and the salty/ savory cravings with my son. Also, the weight distribution with each...my daughter was just a sweet little ball in my belly...my son put weight on me EVERYWHERE!! Both were very easy to bounce back from thankfully. I pray that you have a healthy and wonderful pregnancy & delivery.
Y'all are beautiful ❤️ I'm so happy for you guys Prayers for my daughter. She and her husband have been trying to conceive for a year now. All in God's timing 🙏🏻
Congratulations, Kayla. I started watching you for 3 months now. I pretty much have all those sicknesses you used to have. I can tell you I'm very blessed to find you 🙏 thank you. may God continue to bless you.
Congratulations!!!!! I just helped my one and only move into her first apartment today. It was definitely emotional. I am so happy for you and Darrell!!!!
Bless you 🙏 I was sick the whole time during my pregnancy. It would come and go on the intensity. With my first son I craved McDonald French fries and green apples. lol! With my second son I craved coke icees and subway salads and sandwiches. Pregnancy was rough for me so I only have my two boys who are now grown men. Congratulations and I pray for a healthy pregnancy, delivery, baby and recovery. ❤
Oh man, I know that was rough being sick your entire pregnancy!! You just brought back old memories with the coke icees. Now, you have me craving one! Lol!
So happy for y’all!! Here’s hoping the baby gets your beautiful eyes & daddy’s beautiful skin tone because that would be a stunning combination!! You look beautiful. Thank you for sharing his reaction. That was so precious!!! ♥️
❤CONGRATULATIONS KAYLA and DURELL!🥳👉👼🏻 Such BEAUTIFUL News! Excited to see you through this EXCITING journey! I am so so sorry you were so sick during your 1st weeks. I am glad to hear your progress is getting better! So hilarious…🤣craving McDees 🍟! I have 1 child and it went to so well for me as far as my health and pregnancy! My son is a true true blessing and so happy I have at least one child. GOD IS GOOD and SO FAITHFUL! Yes! Record everything and write in your journal all the neat stuff happening!😊 💚Bless you all!💚
Congratulations🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤ I can picture you two being the best parents ever. Your new born will be brought into this world with lots of love❤️ ❤❤❤. I Hope you get to share daily life with your baby that would be amazing seeing your new born getting older. Love all the food content also. Whatever you decide to share with the world would be amazing. Love love love all your content. Best wishes to you and your family.
Congratulations! How exciting 🥰 I think those intuitions we have as women is spot on. I took ONE look at the ultrasound of my baby around 12 weeks, (before we did the gender test) and IMMEDIATELY I said to my husband it’s a boy! lol I was so convinced from that day on. My husband though, thought it was a girl and a few weeks later lo and behold it was a boy lol
Congratulations, Kayla (also my daughter's name)!! I love your videos! I was sick during both my pregnancies. Hang in there and I pray for your little one! Know he will be a cutie!
Congratulations!! It was so beautiful to see you & your husbands moment. Thank you for sharing. I remember just being sensitive to certain smells. I could not stand the smell of meat cooking or eggs cooking nor could I eat either one. It would make me gag! I'm glad you are feeling better.
Oh! That is wonderful for you two! The sickness I am there with you! I had two babies and I was so sick with both. I can also relate to your sensitivities to scents, for me it was laundry detergent and toothpaste. I wound up using baking soda based ones for both. I also carved pears. They tasted so good during my pregnancy. Hang in there. My prayers are with you all. Love your videos. Your meal prep videos are some of my favorites on RUclips!❤
🎉❤ CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU BOTH! God Bless your baby 👶 The Best season of my life was being pregnant 🤰 BUT the delivery was just miracles, upon miracles. God is so good, though. 🙏
So Sweet! Congratulations Kayla! Soooo happy and excited for the both of you! 💕💞💓💗💖💝💌💯🌞💎 I hope your pregnancy gets way easier and the baby comes out super healthy with no issues at all. #Galatians 5:22-23#
Yes I would love to hear your clean and healthy products you use and by the way I’m so happy to hear about your pregnancy congratulations to you and your husband that is such a beautiful blessing 🙏god bless you
Congratsulations! Almosg forgot to say that first. So happy for you both. I am 37 and trying to get pregnant, I love that you shared your experience so far, love yo hear how peoples experiences vary.
Congratulations 🎉. How exciting for you both. I craved corn dogs and rocky road ice cream. My children are in their 40s and I can’t remember the last time I had either craving since my delivery 😊
Congratulations!❤ I'm so excited for you all! I started morning sickness at 5 weeks, and with my 1st child, I was sick just like you. The heightened sense of smell made it worse. I craved peanut butter and burger kings biscuits. My second and third pregnancies, the nausea, lasted through the seconds trimesters. I craved healthy foods, especially fruit, with my second and Mexican food with my third. I also craved clean smells!😊
Tysm!! 🥰♥️ Yesss, that first trimester can be so rough! Mine also started around 5.5 weeks. Oh man - I hate that the nausea lasted into the second trimester for your second and third. That must’ve been tough! I’m SOOO grateful my nausea has completely stopped. Darrell’s already talking about having a second and I’m just like let me get through this one first 😂
Congratulations ❤️ 🎊 I have 2 girls and a boy, I only got sick when pregnant with my boy, I was totally fine with my pregnancy with the girls... So excited for you both
Girl! My daughter is almost 34 and I STILL vividly remember some of the crazy dreams I had! I dreamt in the early stage of my pregnancy that I was HUGELY pregnant and SURFING! (I live in Alaska and have never surfed in my life and have only been to places with oceans you can swim in just a handful of times!) the dreams are crazy!
Kayla congratulations!!! I’m so excited for you guys!! 🎉 I am thinking baby is a boy just my first thought. You give me hope that I can still have another baby! Haha I’m 36 and my littlest is 2. We haven’t been trying but also not preventing and hasn’t happened yet. I absolutely love your meal prep videos and have tried a few of your recipes and I love them! Those chocolate chip cookies even my daughter loves 🤤. Kid approved! Can you do a video about if you were doing anything to prepare your body for pregnancy? Like any supplements you were taking and any dietary or exercise changes you made? Also would love another anti-inflammatory meal prep ❤❤. Congratulations again beautiful!! Excited to see you grow your sweet family 🥰.
Tysm!! 🥰♥️ aww so glad your little one is enjoying my recipes too 🤗 YES! I was just brainstorming some future video ideas today and one I thought would be interesting is sharing some of the foods, supplements, etc I consumed to increase fertility. So, I’m glad you mentioned that!
So happy for you both! ❤ how exiting! I’m so glad you are doing better. First trimester, it can be rough! Weirdly I have 3 children but I only had cravings with my middle one. And it was always Portillo’s cheese fries. I would have a large cheese fry every week almost for a while during pregnancy! I think I over did it with them because now that kid always gets cheese fries every time we go! It makes me laugh!
My best Mom tips are to let yourself rest and recover from chilld birth, don't to do too much too soon, sleep when baby sleeps. Breast-feed, its so good for bonding and giving the baby colostrum and nutrients that can not be duplicated in formula, it saves money, it really helps with getting your uterus back to normal and regulating hormones. Even if you have difficulty, it's worth hiring a lactation consultant. Congratulations 🎉
Love this! I’ve had a few girlfriends say the same regarding rest postpartum. Will definitely be breastfeeding if all goes well. I’m looking at hiring a local doula who’s also a breastfeeding consultant. I feel like that support would be so helpful!
Congratulations! So happy for you and glad you are feeling better. I craved milk shakes with my first and carrot cake with my second. I never eat those now though 😂
Thank you for your video and for listing all the supplements you’re taking! Question: did you drink any caffeine before & during your pregnancy? 🤰 Do you think matcha is safe to drink daily for a boost of energy or Zevia with caffeine?
When I saw your engagement video (I watched it twice) I was so happy for you. Many times during that video you said "I'll keep you updated on this about the wedding, and I'll keep you updated on that about the wedding etc." So understandably I was looking forward to all these videos that would be upcoming about your wedding planning and of course the wedding itself. But nothing ever came, literally nothing. Now you say, "Of course I'll keep you guys updated during the pregnancy." Will this really happen? I love your videos and you are the nicest person, it's just that I wish You Tubers would stop promising things and then with no explanation simply not doing them.

I love how you told your husband. He made me cry 😢.look forward to your new videos. You can even get into making their baby food
@@darlenebrown3993 great idea!
Love this Kayla! All the glory to God. Super excited for you and your hubs!
CONGRATULATIONS! I've been pregnant four times and each time, I suffered horrible nausea, but never to the point of actually throwing up. But with my last two pregnancies, I had nausea off and on after the four months up to about the seventh month. RAW ONIONS! Aww thank you so much!! I almost cried again while editing the video! I'll def add those videos to my list :)
Tysm! Every step has been rewarding, even the challenging parts. I’m just so grateful 🥰
Congratulations!!! Being a mom is such a blessing. I had very vivid bad dreams with my first pregnancy. It was the same dream over and over.
I’m almost done with the 1st trimester with my second baby. Both times so far I’ve had hardly any nausea but terrible bloat, insomnia, nightmares, and lower back pain right off the bat. 😊❤ This was very sweet. Congrats and best wishes.
🎉❤ CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU BOTH! God Bless your baby 👶
The Best season of my life was being pregnant 🤰 BUT the delivery was just miracles, upon miracles. God is so good, though. 🙏

So excited for you both
Congratulations🎉 to you both! Wonderful news ❤
Omg LOL - I'm dying at the surfing dream! 🤣The dreams are insaneeeee and so intense!!
So happy for you!!! What a blessing! All in God’s timing!! 🙏🏼😊
Tysm!! ♥️🙏

Congrats to you guys!❤❤
Congratulations!! 🎉🙏I can’t wait to hear more of your guidance & wellness advice as you guys are on this journey!
Tysm!! 🥰♥️ Yesss so glad to be passed the first trimester! Lol - those cheese fries do sound delicious though 😂😂
Fantastic news! Congratulations!
Congratulations! I am so happy for you. I love the turkey breakfast hash recipe. It is one of our go to meals.
Congratulations to you both! Such beautiful news❤

Thank u!! 🥰
My daughter was sick the entire pregnancy and was a teacher. It was tough. She said being pregnant was a weight loss program for her.
Congratulations 🎉happy for you both, God is with you.
Congratulations 🎉❤❤❤❤! So happy for your guys!
Tysm!!
Yay! Congratulations ❤
Congratulations! So happy for you and glad you are feeling better. I craved milk shakes with my first and carrot cake with my second. I never eat those now though 😂
Congratulations, lovely news ❤
I also loved the red Fruitopia! So nostalgic.
YEAH! Congratulations - soooo Happy for you two. :)
So happy for you and your husband! Yes, skin care, please! 🎉
Tysm!! You got it 👍
Congratulations! Praise the Lord for this blessing ❤
Congratulations
Tysm! ♥️
Thank you for your video and for listing all the supplements you’re taking! Question: did you drink any caffeine before & during your pregnancy? 🤰 Do you think matcha is safe to drink daily for a boost of energy or Zevia with caffeine?
Hey! I saw the video on shopping for the wedding. Did you post any wedding pics on a video. I would love to see what dress you ended up getting.
I posted our entire wedding album and video on my Facebook profile (search: Kayla Chandler Woolfolk) ☺️
Congratulations!
