    I never tire of sitting and watching your videos to see what you are stitching. We will all celebrate with you when you retire. Whenever I use my thread heaven now, I will think of your daughter's comment of "Chap Stick" for your floss...what a smile that brought. Words like contentment, peace of heart, and friend can lift our spirits like nothing else at times. We have a blessed life and have lived with more gifts than we can imagine. Keep praying for our country as well as Ukraine. Thank you Shanda for being a bright light on the internet. Till your next posting I will be stitching and waiting.

    In Australia we pay $2.20 a quarter for gas. That is 8.80 a gallon. We still are surviving. I love it when the children come up with new words. They are so beautiful.
    Your stitching is lovely. And the patterns you want to stitch are gorgeous. Hugs, Kathleen Mary

    Hi Shanda! Wow, your daughter did an excellent job of stitching that sampler!! What an awesome birthday gift! Your finishes are gorgeous as well. I was stitching as I was watching you and kept getting knots and thought I need some of that floss chapstick myself! 😂 I admire your dedication to finishing your WIPs, you are getting a lot of them finished. I am a mostly monogamous stitcher, although I have three things going right now, so I don’t worry too much about having a lot of unfinished projects, but I know it would bother me if I did. That’s a great idea to get everything kitted up before you retire. It will be so nice to just pull out a project and be ready to go. You are going to love retirement!!! Stay well and happy stitching til next time!! 🪡🧵🪡🐇🌷🌷🪺🐣💕💕💕

    Way to go on that WIP pile. Mine is not as expansive as yours but I am plugging away on them.. little by little. My biggest pile is quilting related and I think it is a bit out of control, but I am aiming for considerably less by years end. You have so many lovely BB designs! It must so hard not to get into them.Good to see you back. Keep the Floss chap stick handy! 😂

    New viewer. Chapstick for floss! 😂 Now you know someone will come up with that type of product soon. Your daughter needs a cut of that profit. I love your corner cabinet. My mom had white dishes like those. I think they were Ironwood or Ironwork, something like that. I loved watching Candleford, too. I need to rewatch that show soon. So far red houses haven't become a weakness, but BBD sure has. I always have one or two of those going as WIPS.

    Good evening Shanda. I so enjoy visiting with you. So loved our red sampler stitching for our birthday month in February. Seeing you show ‘ Where my Heart Blooms’ BBD which I stitched on 30ct as a kit in 2008,still waiting to be framed,so must get to that. I’ve started O Tannenbaum and working the 16th of each month now to get progress going. I too have ‘Come into my Garden’ BBD but yet to kit up. Blessings and happy stitching my friend.

    “Red houses, it’s my one weakness.” 😂 Lisa introduced me to Larkrise when she stayed with me while I was recovering. Love that show! I think I need to stitch that on a sampler now! As always, loved everything you showed. I think you’ll find you need something smaller than 28ct for Sarah Casey Unwin, unless you’re going to do it over one. She’s a fairly big girl. Brea would lovely for her! Will you be in Missoula in Sept?

    • @shandastitchinginidaho
      @shandastitchinginidaho  2 года назад +1

      Good morning! I think I will use the Brea otherwise I was going to stitch Sarah over one on 25 Prim from Lori Holt so she would be smaller. I need smaller samplers as wall space is getting to be at a premium! 😂. Yes, Missoula in Sept here I come! 🪡♥️😀. Happy stitching friend, on our side of the continental divide 🥰!

    Did you have any issue with Beach Cottage Stitchers? I ordered from them at Christmas. It took a long time to get my most of what I ordered. I still haven't gotten all the flosses.

    • @shandastitchinginidaho
      @shandastitchinginidaho  2 года назад

      I have ordered from them twice. First time was the Coming to America sampler kit and everything came except one of the flosses that I needed 5 of and they were shipped after a month. I do have to say the communication between May (when you ordered and paid for the kit) and September ( when you finally received the goods) was a bit on the lacking side. I had a very difficult time receiving any communication or if I had a question I needed answered. The second time was just recently and I hesitantly ordered the box that fits O Tannenbaum by With Thy Needle and Thread. It did come in one piece, not damaged, within 2 weeks. Overall, customer service is a 3 out of 5. 😏

    Like your videos but please don’t throw away your project, just rip out the scissors and change it to a darker colour! I am working on a project and had over 500 stitches that I had to rip out as I am using a even weave fabric that I haven’t used before (just starting back at cross stitching) and I need the best of daylight and first thing in my morning to stitch. I couldn’t let the mistakes go by and fudge later because I’d forget about them and then was really mixed up! I just couldn’t get rid of the fabric as I paid a lot of money for it. 😳 I started all over again and now I am making sure there are no mistakes or doing backstitching or ripping out sooner more then later or just letting it go. Thanks for listening…..Nettie
