HI Bryant , just completed this MOD looks really great and gives a much needed look to the rear end . Thanks very much for this easy to do and cost effective upgrade . i'm looking at the back up light situation , the tail light lumins are poor so looking at Rigid Igniter series , but rackets need making for mounting them . Jon
So I did them exact setup to a T and I can’t seem to get power with the dark blue wire. However, I hooked light up to battery and it worked fine. 2018 pro 4X
Question I want to upgrade to the led headlight housing and I have a xd 5.6 with the standard headlight assembly I know the first gen titan has the headlight harness were you can unplug them just seeing if the new titan does and every dealer I call is like uhhhh look online
Does anyone have a model number or part number for the led strip used. The one i bought doesn't seemed to be has thin and flexible has used in the video. Thanks
So I did this mod and connected the red wire and the yellow wire for the turn signals and grounded the black wire to the truck. The turn signal only blink when I turn the light switch to the off position. What am I doing wrong? Any help would be appreciated.
Dude, I just did this mod and I unscrewed the 2 knobs on the light that pop in to the outside of the bed and they snapped right in place. When it gets warm I can tighten them back up but just a thought for you
when I connect the LED strip and turn on the lights the LED strip does not come on. I measured the voltage with the LED strip connected and it drops to 5v, without the LED strip I do have 12V at the same test point. I am using the factory light bulb, I see you are using an aftermarket LED bulb in your taillight can this be the difference? the LED strips work on a 12v bench power supply so I assume they are good. Any ideas on what may be the issue?
Me too. I tested my light strip with a 9v Battery and it lights right up. 1. So the Light strip does work. I then checked the power to my Multi Meter to the tail light wiring and a Ground metal screw on my truck and it does show some power. BUT when I try to use the LED strip wiring to do the same process it DOESNT light up at all. I am going to try yoru suggestion and get LEDs to replace the bulbs and see if that would give some extra power to light up the LED Strip. Other than that, I'm stuck!
@@Bennytree lol using the same light I assume I think there was a green and white which I thought was turn signal and there’s a solid dark blue (didn’t work from video) and there’s a solid light blue. There is a red wire coming from one of the other lights tho.. Any guesses?
Your electrical work quality scares the crap out of me. That electrical tape will last about 2 years tops on the road before it peels off and shorts out.
@@ThompsonsTapes I put a load resistor in the turn signal brake circuit. The individual headlamp with progressive turn and mark, as well as the led mark tail to match both claimed that they didn't hyper flash. However, when installed both in the truck they did. So, a quick confirmation by plugging the oe assembly back in proved out the theory and two load resistors as well as some extension wiring for room to work with mounting the heat sinks inside resolved issue. Took longer to write out that to perform.
Why couldn’t you show which wires to connect . It would have been a awesome video if you showed us the ground wire and the wires you did connect instead of showing us more of the two way tape light that’s self explanatory.
ebay link doesn't show it anymore....AWESOME video !!!! great job!!
Thank you so much for the video, I was considering doing this mod to my 2007 Armada but wanted an idea of how it would look prior to doing it.

How did you connect the wiring to the existing? Did you need some sort of connector?
Appreciate you showin these cool little mods for the xd.
Sweet, gonna do that but I think I will try all around the light!
Dope! Wanna try this next! Also u should do a rock light tutorial and also possibly led light side badge of the Cummins emblem... Great stuff! Thanks!

Great video bro 🤙🏼
That is clean looking
Looks good 👍
Hi Jet , Can you do a video showing how to change (if possible to do so) the color of the front running light LED'S . thanks Jon
Anyone know what lights were used for this and where to purchase?
Which light strips did you use? There's so many choices out there and it's hard to tell what will work like the ones you used. Thanks and great mod!

What length did you use? I’m having trouble finding anything over 24inch
God forbid Nissan gave us dope features stock.
Great tutorial.
How do you connect to the existing wires? Do you need to splice a wire or get some sort of connector?
Could you tell me which strips you purchased and where to orfer them? Thanks
Loving the rig, but I can't find the type of LEDS you used can you please help.
Nice mod for sure man! I’m wondering if it would look better if it went all around the light. Looks good for sure though man.
Martin Gomez i was thinking the same, I just didn’t want to overkill it . Let me know if you wrap the light all the way around
Jetwhite Xd I will. Looking to do it soon.
Looks bad ass!
How bright is the brake lights in those housing after you deleted the chrome?

I bought my Titan xd used and was planning to do this only to find out someone already did this mod!!!😂
yo can i have the link to the 3 led bulbs that are for the rear tails i peeped yours a little brighter then my stocks and i need that

What did you do to connect the wires to the existing?
What kind of light Strip did you use?
What brand led strip are those?
How do I find the link to purchase that strip
Omg Elon Musk should hire you!
where can i find the led lights
Nice video! Did you mention what light color you used? I might have missed it! Looks yellow? White?
Robert Flores they offer red with yellow turn signals and red with yellow turn signals . In this case I have yellow with red
Never mind....lol found it
Link to the strip?

Does anyone know if the 2020 lights would fit on a 16-19?
The tail lights do according to z1offroad.com that sells them for 1000 a set.
But will they fit a 17 model?
