That said there are a few factions that have families and yes babies are still being born into this, this also gives some hope not only of survival but of also some love not just sex in this terrible world. @nobody important: Ellie's mother, Anna was a nurse and according to the note which she wrote a week or so before she died ( supposedly of natural causes-possibly cancer maybe? )that she wasn't planned and that she wasn't particularly keen on babies or children but had already "fallen in love" with her daughter straight away and amazed at her own feat of having this beautiful person in her life that she had created in such a cruel time and saddened to leave her alone, although hoped she would be taken care of by Marlene whom was a close friend ( yeah right, dumped her in an military run orphanage and only gave her her mother's letter and switchblade knife when she was 13-that isn't taking care of her now is it? Bitch, too busy with her anarchy protest group and finding "cures" for mankind). I assume Ellie did have a father and that he died also, I guess we will find out more about that in Part 2.

A zombie is someone who has supposedly suffered brain damage as a result of exposure to a toxic substance known as "zombie powder" that renders them easily frightened and suggestible, impairs mobility, and cripples memory retention, making them APPEAR to be the walking dead. Whether such a substance and method of creating human mindslaves actually exists is dubious, but it's part of voodoo beliefs. So, yeah, they're infected, but there hasn't been an actual zombie depiction in most media for decades. XD
There is a big difference between TWD walkers and TLoU infected, the infection in this game only affects the living, and is not passed by bite, in TWD the infection is in anyone who breaths the air on earth, but only affects the dead, the classic zombies who eat brains have never been depicted in TWD OR TLoU, they eat human flesh, basically the only same thing between the two, they're always different in different shows/games. Also, in TWD, the law has gone out the window, there is NO law, but in TLoU, a bit part of it is the law, but I honestly think TWD would be a better world, because the zombies are slow and get slower/stop in the cold, and there is no law to say when you are allowed out, you can't get executed, but the only problem is, in TWD, there is likely no chance of a cure, it's more likely in TLoU, since the infected are living humans, not the undead.

I just watched Pewds, Toby and Cry's playthroughs of this game and each of them have their own thing they brought to the game. I love watching all three of them do playthroughs and so should everyone. They're all awesome in their own ways and we all love them for some reason or another :) so don't hate on any one of them :)
I like how Pewds gets totally emotionally bound to Ellie and Joel. He instinctively took the job of being a dad, which my friends and I would never do. Cry seems more laid back, just happy to be along for the ride. And I positively love that Cry is meticulous in his searches for things, although Jimmy Wong seems to be even more thorough in his playthrough, which is like 25+ hours long. He spent way too much time stealthing in situations that called for going in guns blazing.
ah ^^ I often see shooting games where other character's help isn't worth 2 cents. A game like this where characters are actually helping you is a rarity
Yeah, that is a rarity. Even on Survivor mode (can’t speak for Grounded), Tess and Bill are a good help. I am still on my first playthrough of the first game, and I would have struggled to get out of Bill’s Town without his help.

He doesn’t want to be anywhere near her because then he doesn’t want to remember what he lost and Tess knows that. Through the like 1 hour maybe 2 that all three have been together she’s already figured that out and understands it
I love the moment around 39 minutes in, where Tess glances back and Ellie and tells Joel, "I get it." A subtle moment I think really expands on their relationship and their characterization.

Whenever Cry talks about using his "echolocation" with the enemies, I get this mental image of Joel standing up and emitting a high-pitched shriek like a bat does for echolocation. My mind kinda breaks the atmosphere of the game in my mind when that happens

The only question I've ever really bothered to ask myself about zombies is, what happens to the animals? Cause I've never seen in any zombie movie/series/games any kind of animals. (I don't watch zombie stuff that much so I'm pretty much clueless about alot of things related to it).
I enjoy Cry's playthrough.. Someone addressed that he isn't the funniest or the greatest but it's really enjoyable. Now, that's out of the way.. I've played this game several times and it just occurred to me: They take out two US Soldiers, one of whom is carrying a freaking assault rifle. DID IT NOT OCCUR ONCE TO JOEL THAT HE COULD HAVE PICKED UP, EVEN IF HE'D HAVE TO GET RID OF IT? Q-Q Would've been useful. Even if you'd have to get specific ammunition for it, it would be nice to blow away the infected and other adversaries..

I've played this game several times and it just occurred to me: They take out two US Soldiers, one of whom is carrying a freaking assault rifle. DID IT NOT OCCUR ONCE TO JOEL THAT HE COULD HAVE PICKED UP, EVEN IF HE'D HAVE TO GET RID OF IT? Q-Q Would've been useful. Even if you'd have to get specific ammunition for it, it would be nice to blow away the infected and other adversaries..
Well...
1) it would weigh a lot
2) they needed to run quickly away from the soldiers who just heard gunshots
3) it would have made the game too easy
Also in the moment of panic he wouldn't have thought to pick up the gun
