I remember picking up the Last Action Hero Soundtrack in the early 90s and not expecting this song to be on there and being blown away! What the Hell Have I was their big single off that movie but I was like A Little Bitter is the superior song! Definitely underrated. I think the lyrics are related to all the “rumors” that turned out to be true about Layne’s addiction. The press (MTV, Rolling Stone and other rock publications) were trashing Layne over it and putting his business out there. I think this is his response to them. “Thieves, parasites” Layne pays their rent since their stories are about him, they make money off him. “Infantile men pry around…” How his mind shouts for rest…! Just a very lyrically real song from Layne as all of his were. You can feel his frustration and pain. Love the vids bro, you’re very good at what you do!
