Sorry Jamie, I'd never date you. 1) You're married 2) I'm also married Now the terrible joke is done, have yourself a wonderful 2024 with lots of happiness for you and Shaaba.
@user-un7rq1wy2c ...if thats a joke, its not funny. They are not a lesbian couple. Jamie is a man. If you're intentionally being transphobic, then even if this comment gets deleted, its a pleasure to tell you to get fucked mate. ^_^
But what if what they're saying is not anything relatively bad? For all you know, they could be telling you that They canceled your time to play a game with you And they don't want you to be mad at that.
Whenever a bigot tries to use the “but I’m not SCARED of queer/trans people” excuse, I always ask them if hydrophobic molecules are actually afraid of water 👀
No they don't hate, rather they are water repellent. Mix fat and water. And from what I've seen on youtube trans people can be as CISphobic as CIS people can be transphobic.
They scream how much they hate me in the streets, yet seem to want me in their bed sheets. I honestly don't get it and don't like all the attention, I just want to live a quiet life.
oh yeah this is like "oh I dont mind you being gay, just dont try me." like bruh. how high is their self image if they think gay men for whatever reason would want their out of shape beer gut with a hygiene of a trash compactor.
Thing is, I’m trans and I really don’t like my chest, but I don’t hate my body. I love my body for enabling my existence. I am strong and flexible and a capable rock climber, those are things my body can do. The fact that I’d like to change some parts of it doesn’t mean I hate my body.
People who think dysphoria = hating your body don't understand either. I had severe dysphoria when I was pregnant, to the point of frequent dissociation, but I never once hated my body. It kept both me and my son safe through the process, I was immensely grateful! Still had near-crippling dysphoria. These people need dictionaries.
It’s strange how transitioning exists in so many different species, such as the clownfish when their partner dies, but Transphobia only exists in one. Who’s unnatural now?
@@NakatesX You're technically correct that their example wasn't the best, clownfish are a good example of animals that change their primary sex characteristics as a response to social necessity. Humans, apes, other animals like us cannot do that, so a better example of animals behaving similarly to us in that regard might be lions, sometimes female lions will grow a mane (a secondary sex characteristic), have slightly engorged genitals, and socially change their behaviour to that of male lions, including mounting other female lions. Of course, we can't really point to any examples of animals changing their social sex just because they wanted to, and not due to any social conditions, as humans do, but it's still very interesting to study. If I were dedicated enough to do a PhD, I think that's what I'd do mine on
@@Robb3636Hold on though, I’m pretty sure I agree with what you’re trying to say, but isn’t combatting gender dysphoria its own form of social necessity? Granted, not everyone who transitions has gender dysphoria, and it’s much more about the health of the individual than the cases from animals, but the framing isn’t that far off I would think.
When they say "facts over feelings" it's so funny, their using their own feelings to pick the 'facts' and completely ignore what actual psychologists and therapists say
what gets me is the claim that a person with short hair, a deep voice, a beard, and a dick & balls is a "chick" - when that's literally their problem with trans women (even though trans women have almost none of those things). so if a trans woman chose to keep her bits and beard and short hair, they would consider that person identifying as a woman to be ludicrous. but if THEY point to someone who was born with XX chromosomes and has all those characteristics and label that person a woman, makes total sense. it's just ABSURD.
@dannyfoxboi They're people who think their racial prejudice is backed by science, even though the opposite is true. There is no genetic basis for the racial categories into which society places people because of how they look.
"You are an Adoptive Mother. Not a real Mother" Same logic. No normal person would say shit like that to someone without sounding like an asshole and being seen as such.

A kid I know(almost said my friend) once, in the middle of English class, looked at me and said “What does that sticker on your water bottle say?” I looked at it, uncovered it, and said, “Uhm.. ‘protect trans kids’?” And this guy had the *audacity* to look me dead in the eyes and say, “I don’t agree with that” I stared at him for a moment, dumbfounded, and then said “Good for you? Who asked? Like, nobody cares.” Edit: he also said “I am respectfully transphobic.” Like, wtf does that mean?
ok well that doesn't change the fact that there are only 2 genders. If you were taught that gender is fluid you were lied to. Biology defines gender. It's always been like that. Always will.
that’s absolute shit, but when that happens to me i try to focus on the part where they got it right. even if they are transphobic, i know at least some small part of their brain sees me best of luck to you. hope you stay safe

The one I've seen dozens of times lately is 'it's not a phobia, phobia means fear' whilst they angrily insist something must be done about people having autonomy over their own bodies (except when being allowed to spread deadly diseases of course)
"it's not a phobia, phobia means fear" This is wrong on multiple levels: * that's the etymological fallacy * we didn't choose the word; even though we use the word, that doesn't mean we think it's a suitable one for the concept * that -phobia element is also in homophobia, xenophobia and Islamophobia but it's only trans people who get this criticism
@@rosiefay7283 It's also used in the context of homophobia, xenophobia, and islamophobia. Just not as much. It's also just wrong in general, as a phobia refers to an irrational fear *or aversion to* and the people who say this are usually blatantly afraid anyways.
A few things they miss is that: a) Phobia also means aversion, which they clearly have, and b) They are afraid. They talk about all the things they fear trans people will do all the damn time! They fear trans people will supress their "free speech", they fear trans people will destroy their religion, they fear trans people will turn their kids trans, they fear trans people are part of some plot to sterilise their country, they fear trans people will bring about some kind of societal collapse. They constantly list the things they fear about trans people!

@@Giuliana-w1f Fair, I didn't have one official coming out, just talked about a female crush while sitting with my pixie cut, oversized denim jacket and looking like I popped out of the 80s lol
It doesn't even work when you boil things down to chromosomes, because only including XX or XY ignores the other variations that can and do occur. At the end of the day, even your DNA doesn't care if you're male, female or other - it just wants to replicate. That's how you end up with clownfish who can naturally transition, or snails who have both male and female sexual organs but can also reproduce asexually. Everything else outside of DNA replication and continuation is optional and doesn't matter.
Fun fact You can't define what fish is with only including what a fish is and excluding everything else You can't define what disease is with only including what a disease is and excluding everything else You can't define what tree is with only including what a tree is and excluding everything else The world isn't black and white. By segregating into groups and expecting clear boundeys is stupid.
One commenter is desperately trying to make it "I accept these exceptions but don't accept the trans woman exception." So it's already twisting into knots. Or supporting care for some conditions, but making the exception for trans women. I saw a really cool video talking about how in language our minds often prefer examples to definitions, since many words are hard to pinpoint in definition. (A famous interaction with a TERF asked them for a chair definition, which actually includes horses.) So "woman" shouldn't be any different. The lucky part about "woman" is we actually have humans to tell us their lived experience so self-definition is the way to go, as long as it doesn't exclude people who differ.
“Only REAL women can have babies” - as a sis woman survivor of CA and SA, causing fertility issues - this is hurtful. As the honoured doula of a remarkable young man who birthed his baby into his partner’s arms I would say “not Only, but Also”
This reminds me of something. I remember seeing conservative women with fertility issues react to the "not all women are fertile" argument by crying about how they feel as if their womanhood was denied because people "compared them to men (trans women)", completely ignorant of the fact that they're doing the exact same thing but worse by actively claiming that trans women aren't women. Meanwhile, their own argument, "Actual women are fertile" is objectively more insulting to infertile women. Yet of course they choose to ignore that and play victim.
@@xxxxx-iu4fwhaving xx chromosomes = being a woman. We are not cis. We are women. Transgender women are transgender women. The patriarchy really needs to stop targeting us.
I really will never understand why these people care so much. They always bring it back to "think of the children" somehow but never explain why it's a problem to just tell children that gender roles are just made up and don't really mean anything. What do they think is going to happen? Little girls aren't going to grow up thinking they HAVE to cook, clean and raise children while little boys will be sure to grow up thinking they never have to do those things? Wait...I guess I do understand why they care so much.
This. 'They always bring it back to "think of the children"' which is hypocritical, when the real danger to children comes from 1) sexual predators, who are cis and probably straight; 2) transphobes trying to prevent gender dysphoric children learning the truth about trans people.
It could free the lady slaves.. we can’t have that! Women must know they are different then men because they could get crazy ideas and start wanting to be treated equally.. that would bring men down to women’s level. That is bad for the misogynists
Because in their worldview, teaching children that LGBTQ+ people exist will turn them that way. They see it as a choice, rather than an immutable inherent characteristic. They see it as something bad, because any time a child doesn't turn out a perfect little clone of the parents, that's a failing on the parents. It's also why so many of them push for conversion therapy, because they think that will turn kids back.
It's always "think of the children" until it comes to actual trans kids being refused affirming care (something that has been proven to improve outcomes for the child), then they're fine by that 🙄
As far as claiming you, Jamie, a lot of us men do. You're a great example of what a man should be. The transphobes now.... the transphobes are an embarrassment.
Pedants might object that it's "right and good" to discriminate against some types of offenders in some circumstances... Also why should people care about what's "godly"? (particularly in the context of 15:45)
@ladyj7085 Nice copy-paste. But who really cares? Harry Potter's been a series for a hell of a lot longer than JK's been a known TERF, so yeah, it's established and feeding on nostalgia. She's just ostracized a large portion of her fanbase. An awful person, but business doesn't care. She'd be making more if she wasn't so terrible though. As for Gervais... does anyone actually care about award ceremonies anymore? It's all arbitrary. More like elementary school biology. I learned about intersex people in high school. Transphobes stopped at the most basic biology and refuse to accept that the world is more complex than they learned in fifth grade.
Whenever anyone spouts biology I tend to ask them what their karyotype is. Then having explained that is a group of chromosomes, I go on to explain that there in fact six common karyotypes, and given few know theirs, they could be intersex without even knowing it. If they insist they are XX or XY, I ask them to prove it.

I came out on christmas eve... for the second time. I first came out as non binary at 14, but none of my family took me seriously. Im 22 and my mom was STILL misgendering me! So i came out again, very bluntly. "My name is Echo. I don't have a gender. This year, I'll be pursuing gender affirming care". I've made it clear i will no longer tolerate dismissal of who i am. I will not force myself to endure dysphoria and pain for the convenience of others. 'But grandma is too old to understand...' i dont care. I will correct her until she gets it. Which, by the way, she immediately was okay with my new name. My mom made me feel the need to hide who i am for FAR too long. I. Am. ECHO.
I'm 47 and I have a TikTok. I also had a hysterectomy at 38. Anyway, transwomen are women, transmen are men, nonbinary people are nonbinary, genderfluid people are genderfluid, and they're all imajorly good looking.
I don't usually comment on RUclips videos, I want to leave this here in 2023 though, just to move on. I am (technically) a detransitioner. I was fully out as a trans boy for years, I had short hair and had gotten to wear trousers to my all girl Catholic school, everyone referred to me with a male name, as a male, with he/him pronouns. I wore a binder constantly, had done vocal excercises to give myself a deeper voice and I had planned on getting hormones and surgeries, my family had told me they'd fully support me. I watched your videos, along with many other trans and non-binary creators, who helped me come out as trans, who helped me live comfortably as a boy, and, in the longrun, helped me to realise that detransitioning was an option. I felt stuck for months playing a roll I didn't want to, all my exposure to detransitioners were all extremely transphobic and I was scared I'd be percieved as such or even become transphobic just by returning to my identity as a girl. But, after viewing many videos by you and other trans creators, I found that detransitioning was an option, without being transphobic or without being seen as such. And so I did and I've never been happier. I still like to expiriment with my gender identity, I'm still unsure if I am a girl or if I'm something else, but I finally feel free to do so. I don't know why I'm commenting on this with this, I've been thinking about this since I saw you at Belfast Pride (at least I think it was you lol) and just wanted to say thank you I suppose. Thank you Jaimie for helping me realise my identity, happy 2024 to whoever read this ❤
Gender is a weird broad spectrum and transitioning is far from the only option out there, so I saw good job for discovering more about yourself and don't worry about being in the 1% that detransition, it's bound to happen to some for a myriad of reasons and nb, genderfluid and demisexual are also options that might be worth exploring if transitioning doesn't feel right for you but you're still not deadset on your agab. Either way though, what you do or don't do with your body is entirely up to you and what makes you feel comfortable in your own body and no one else so good luck in your journey, I hope it goes well and you figure things out in time
The story is yours to write, and no one can tell you who you are. All the power to you and thank you for sharing your experience! Your example also goes to show that being open and supporting as a family also gives a child the space to develop their identity on their own terms, and makes them happier as a person. Happy 2024 to you and your loved ones!
You POURED this here, cos you might be gender FLUID (sorry for a bad pun, good luck with everything, and imo no label/way to identify yourself should necessarily be forever)
Happy new year, Jamie!!! This year, I: • Came out to my parents, my siblings, 2 of my 3 grandparents, my aunts/uncles, and my cousins!! • Was accepted and supported by all of them!! • Came out and started presenting fem publically!! • Started HRT, including progesterone!! • Saw some FANTASTIC results of HRT!! • Dated (then broke up with) my first girlfriend!! • Attended my first pride!! • Attended a name-burning ceremony!! So altogether 2023 has been a good year for me :) here's to the next one!
Hate takes so much energy, time and effort. Love is easy and energising. I love how all my trans and NB siblings have demonstrated how old binary gender stereotypes are utter nonsense, and can't be rationally defined. Just one note on the algorithm: I accidentally clicked on a transphobic video that YT recommended to me. The way it was framed didn't seem transphobic. I imagine several keywords are used to bring those videos to the attention of folks who may be curious but uncertain. Besides, every time I finish watching a YT video, there's something (usually in the bottom-left corner) that makes me go "Who do you think I am, RUclips?". Algorithms are weird. But I'm glad that same algorithm brought you and Shaaba into my world. I wish you all the gender euphoria for 2024.
It's "funny" to see how those people expect trans people to live a pitiful life being single (not by choice). I'm a trans guy on T but pre surgery as it takes time and money, and recently a handsome tall cis guy fell in love with me, we're currently talking and going on dates. It's going well even though I don't have true feelings yet, but we're letting time doing its job (We don't use labels, even though I'm only into men)
My aunt really pissed me off at Christmas this year. My cousin came out to the family as trans when she graduated last year, and is fully socially transitioned and has been able to start taking hormones. Before she arrived at Christmas, I was noting that my grandparents couldn't remember what her name was (she did change it twice since coming out) and listed her presents as 'to grandchild'. I said they could have gone with granddaughter, and my aunt said "Yeah but some of us don't agree with that." That was bad enough. THEN my aunt added "personally I think he's just gay". And that infuriated me. That was the moment that I decided I was done with her.
"you had bits of your body removed" I think what baffles me about this transphobic comment is that people have bits of their body removed regularly, like what's wrong with that? I just had my wisdom teeth removed, am I somehow less of a man than I was before? I did, after all, have bits of my body removed lol
It's more so you changed your whole identity and now we're living in a world where words are being redefined for no logical reason, ppl can't speak their minds, everything is label some type of phobic and everything is political nowdays.
I can't see the other two comments on this, but SAME. Why do they seem to think surgeries are reserved for trans people only?? I legit had an interaction yesterday where a T-phobe said: "I would never let my kids have pills or surgery. They're not old enough." WHY are they like this; I don't understand. 😂
All surgery is trans surgery now I guess. Need your appendix removed? You're trans now. Wisdom teeth removed? Trans. I wonder if the effects stack, like one surgery will make you trans in one direction, a second will trans your gender in another, then 3rd to another, into infinite kinds of nonbinary
My year has been amazing -- I got my first present addressed to my female name this year; so amazing Christmas. Hope everyone reading this has had a good year, and will have a good 2024
Congratulations fellow Valkyrie, I don't do holidays but it's great to hear ya got a present and it was labeled correctly, that must feel great and I hope it was something great ^^
Transphobes just make me laugh at this point because they repeat the same stuff over and over showing how they never want to actually learn about trans people.
It always seems to turn to ad hominem at the first sign of opposition too. Like if they want to argue their hateful points could they at least spare the courtesy of using logic instead of just being a jerk?
Your a crossdresser... Accept yourself for what you are and don't expect other to accept you for what you are not. It would be like painting stripes on your horse and entering it in a zebra race... Then laughing at people who point out that you have got a horse in the race.
Seeing Jamie describe the difference between a cis woman and a trans woman reminded me that, as a non-binary person with gender dysphoria, I can confidently say that I'm legit jealous of my friend who is a trans man withOUT gender dysphoria. And ANY trans person without dysphoria, really. Thankfully, mine isn't nearly as bad as some people's, but it's still there and frustrating to deal with. Also, what is it with transphobes thinking that "I wouldn't date a trans person. Ew." is some sort of Sick Burn? Talk about arrogance thinking you're such a great catch that it's a loss for a trans person that they don't get to date you. 🙄🙄🙄
trans person without gender dysphoria here- gotta say i'm legit a little jealous of dysphoric trans people, too. I'm mostly gender indifferent and don't really view my body as Gendered at all, personally, but it's frustrating when everyone else does. I wish I had something I could point to about the way I feel to say, "hey, i'm really a real trans!!! look, i feel bad and everything." but maybe that's just a holdover from when transmeds were a bigger issue in my inner circles.
@ohokay4663 That makes sense, actually. Some people- even other trans people -think that gender dysphoria and a want for gender affirming surgeries is a prerequisite for "being a real trans person" and it's absolutely bullshit. I definitely understand where you're coming from, though, when you say you want something definitive to point at and go "see! I'm not lying!" with your gender. I'm the same way with my own, actually. I say I'm non-binary because my gender is under that umbrella, and it's easier for people to get behind than agender or nullgender. There's a lot of "prove you're this by showing/doing!" and "that's not a real thing!" already with your- for lack of a better word -'classic' trans men and trans women. IE, the ones most people think of that DO have gender dysphoria and need/want to transition. But! As difficult as it may be, you ARE still trans and nobody can be correct in saying otherwise except yourself. NOBODY knows you better than you know yourself, after all. Yep, it's been a really good year for me, partly because I found your channel. Discovering that trans men exist and how they feel about their own body made me understand cis men - that I'm not one of them, and what to do next.
Yeah, trans men blew my mind because then I realized, "Wait, so not everyone wants to be a woman? Some people actually *like* being men?" and that led to a bunch of self-discovery.
my ex just won primary custody of my daughter because my gf is trans. im also trans, genderfluid, and its been so hard. our rights are being violated, our transness used to label us abusers of kids, and its causing so much stress. all because he is transphobic, and hd never showed it when we were together, but now its confrontational to the point im scared. idk who to even call for help anymore. i live in the south (kentucky) and its scary out here for us. :(
My seven year old grandson and I were having a conversation the other day. Note that I have had a hysterectomy and a bilateral mastectomy. He was talking about what made a girl a girl. He said “they have long hair, wear makeup, and have breast”. I said have you looked at Gigi lately? I don’t have breasts, so am I no longer a girl? He thought for a minute and responded with “what really makes you a boy or a girl is all from the inside”! I’m so glad that he is understanding us when we’re trying to make him aware of the rights of all people.
Some positivity for this video. My cisgendered husband watches this channel with me because I like it and the other day he met someone while out drinking who ended up pouring their heart out to him about their gender struggles and how they believe themselves to be gender fluid. My husband pointed that person towards this channel! A small thing but a little light in the dark

hi jamie i’ve got a book recommendation! it’s called “Different: Gender through the eyes of a Primatologist” its a primatologist taking about differences in behavior between the sexes noticed in us, chimps, and bonobos. it’s a book that’s largely about typical gender differences but also brings up nonconforming gender expressions when relevant and has a whole chapter dedicated to primate pride. its a very interesting perspective on gender and one i very much appreciated. it made gender feel less like a human thing and more like a nature thing. it’s very insightful and a good read

This was the year that I discovered myself and began transitioning. I have never felt happier in my life before coming out and I am going to talk to my parents about hormones when the time comes. To say that this is invalid because “YoU wERe bORn WiTH a DiCk” is stupid and goes to show how little these people care about others. Denying this will deny happiness, and thus denies a healthy life and life itself at times. We’re all human and we all poop the same, so why should we be left behind because we are different
The Accidental Ally at the end was a very pleasant surprise. Too bad about the "2nd coming" prerequisite 😄, but I'll take forward progression out of this societal transitioning period however we get there😉. Overall, thanks for this. I found it unexpectedly affirming as I progress through my medical transition. Happy New Year to you, Shabba, your families, and the cats🎉!
I dont get the people that say its all in your head...because yeah duh, thats what gender is. How you view yourself. Just because some people have the luxary of matching whats in their head doesnt change that gender is something mental for everyone. You should be allowed to have others see you like you see yourself Also, i just wanna say that you look way better post transition and i think that has everything to do with your confidence and loving yourself more. You always look so deeply out of place and sad in your pre trans pictures. I think that can be used to say how important being able to transition is Have a good new year!
Honestly how can gender be in your head? You are who you are. I'm not a woman because I think I am, I just am a woman. I have no desire to be the opposite sex/gender. Trans ppl can exist, but why say gender is a mental state, when that's false?!
Yep, it's almost the same exact behavior and phrasing between being told that being trans is all in my head and that my migraine is all in my head. Often followed up with some version of "You just need to ignore it and it'll stop". Like great, didn't know my stomach and neck were in my head. 🙄 Because by that logic all pain can be ignored because it's processed by your brain.
I gonna be Honest, before I come to myself than i was Trans, i had the Famous "Insert a transphobic phrase here" and "Insert other Transphobic phrase here too" but look at me, Finally knowing myself and noticing how stupid it was that... Most transphobic definitions of women exclude me because I don’t have regular cycles and likely won’t have kids without medical intervention. I point this out to my transphobic brother who literally was standing in the hospital hallway and heard the doctor say “it’s a girl” when I was born and his brain kinda short circuits lol. I feel bad for his kids though. Before his youngest was born our sister asked what they were having and he said “a boy, and he will be as long as he’s under my roof”. Like, imagine looking at your pregnant wife about to give you a precious little baby and thinking “yeah, my love for them is 100% conditional”. I don’t get it. I don’t talk to him anymore but I hope his kids turn out ok despite all the crazy.

Literally there is no way to define women without excluding ciswomen, or including transwomen 💀 they’ll never do it
It doesn't even work when you boil things down to chromosomes, because only including XX or XY ignores the other variations that can and do occur.
Fun fact
You can't define what fish is with only including what a fish is and excluding everything else
You can't define what disease is with only including what a disease is and excluding everything else
You can't define what tree is with only including what a tree is and excluding everything else

@angellennie8250 Now do Women, Men or Enbys instead of making shit up. Women are Women is not hard to understand.

As the honoured doula of a remarkable young man who birthed his baby into his partner’s arms I would say “not Only, but Also”
And also by that logic I “almost became a woman” at 13 :/ The “logic” is gross.

If people know it's ok to be different, they won't try to hide being different. And assholes don't like that
It could free the lady slaves.. we can’t have that!

Hey Echo... I hope that everything's going well with you in terms of gender affirming care ❤
You're accepted, seen and supported as the person you are
I'm 47 and I have a TikTok.
Thank you Jaimie for helping me realise my identity, happy 2024 to whoever read this ❤
Yay for self discovery.
You POURED this here, cos you might be gender FLUID

All surgery is trans surgery now I guess. Need your appendix removed? You're trans now. Wisdom teeth removed? Trans.

But! Fact: Feelings are important
Let me try for fun ready
A woman is a human
A man is a human
All of us are human beings that have one of many different life experiences that are known and understood by other humans
you need to use that, heheeh i wonder how the tranphobes will answer
Of course we're all human, but there are clear differences between men and women.
@@jamiejamieson8613 thus the one of many different life experiences that are known and understood by other humans
@@jamiejamieson8613 That doesn't work (both morally and factually) to excuse racism and it doesn't work to excuse your hate against trans people (and all the cis people outside your bubble and possibly women and/or men as a whole) either.
@@goodpeople25 Trans ppl =/= racism. What are you talking about?
These videos are the perfect length to watch while crocheting and stuff 😂
thats my favorite time to watch Jamies videos
hehe i get my daily tasks done on my game while watching jamie, he makes my day so much better
May I be nosy and ask what you crochet~?
Oooo, crochet gang rise up!!! I'm finishing up some mushrooms for my sister, whatcha working on?
“Only REAL women can have babies” tell that to my Auntie who accidentally got assigned male on her birth certificate
@angellennie8250 Yeah the doc just wrote the wrong thing lol
@angellennie8250 Yep a cis woman but her birth certificate says male. And since transphobes say that what is says on your birth certificate is the be all and end all....
@@omichromiumbtw, the person that you were talking to is a transphobe lmao
Ah, assigned male at birth by mistake XD
2023 has been a great year. The best year ever in fact. My mental health has been improving, I'm now fully independent, I'm learning to drive, I have a great paying job, I made lots of friends and wonderful memories, I'm far more confident, I'm no longer shy, I've been learning Spanish, I'm more optimistic, my depression went away without meds, all in all, it's been a great year.
That's amazing! I don't know you, but I'm proud of you.
Amazing work. I'm proud your efforts paid off!
hell yes, i hope your 2024 goes just as well! keep up the self-improvement, it pays off!
Howdy stranger, I don’t know who you are. But due to the fact that you aren’t a total a-hole, I have immense respect for you. Which is just as strange as it is sad
Goodjob!
My depression starting going away after around 9~10 years last year, and i found a lot of people i like too. I found my sexuality last year, and in this one i found my gender. I almost came out too. Those last 2 years were wonderful for me too, and im excited for the next one, happy new year everyone!
You are super cute! I am a 72 yo grandma and absolutely love your videos.
It's so amazing when people over 30 are supportive! You are very appreciated!
@@IKnowEverythingButMyIdentity Wait, I'm amazing?
I am in my 50's and an enby. I agree, when older folks understand I am impressed!
@@jerrimenard3092 My parents support me, and they're 76 and 79. Dad gives me my estradiol shot every week, and Mom holds my hand while he does it.
Accepting grandparents are the best
"Jamie, you are so thick, even though you have a PhD." WHAT DOES THAT EVEN MEAN? What is the correlation of these two things? WHY DID THEY WRITE IT LIKE THAT?
At least in American English (not sure about other forms of English), "thick" can mean "stupid", which is obviously what the commenter meant. But it's more fun to pretend he meant "thicc" instead.
@electronics-girl as a non native English speaker I will stick with the funny explanation of the commenter thinking you can't be thicc and educated at the same time 😂😂😂 (but also thank you, now I know )
"I would gouge my eye out rather than date a man in a dress" yesterday I told a trans girl I liked her, we watched The Hunchback of Notredame together, I told her she was the cutest and also kissed her. I meant it 100%. I'm a recently cracked egg too
In all my years I've never heard
"You used [insert word] to describe what [said word] means"
Be used as an insult.
"Grrrr! You used a word in its correct context! 😡"
I'd like to say, when I found you on RUclips, I had no idea you were trans.
It made absolutely 0 difference to me that you're trans.
I also like that you're such an advocate for the trans community and help to educate everyone.
Why people have a problem with any of this is bizarre.
I'm LGBTQIA plus.
Haven't come out to my family.
I am now 40 yo.
We need more people like yourself to be on the platform to continue to help educate and offer advice to all people.
Thank you.

For some reason, RUclips refuses to notify me know when you upload. On the bright side, I was binging all your old videos so I caught the new one in my recommended!
hi jamie i’ve got a book recommendation!
it’s called “Different: Gender through the eyes of a Primatologist”
its a primatologist taking about differences in behavior between the sexes noticed in us, chimps, and bonobos. it’s a book that’s largely about typical gender differences but also brings up nonconforming gender expressions when relevant and has a whole chapter dedicated to primate pride. its a very interesting perspective on gender and one i very much appreciated. it made gender feel less like a human thing and more like a nature thing. it’s very insightful and a good read
I wonder what I watched that RUclips recommend your channel .
Really had no curiosity about gay or Trans people . Even had to look up what cis ment.
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to learn more about the people who inhabit this planet .
good idea to read the hate comments right before new year so you have a clean slate for 2024
Also I love your content, you've helped me a lot :3
Gorge vs. gouge misspelling gave me a good laugh! Phobes tripping over their own feet as usual. Then again, I’m a nerd and have been known to double check my spelling while writing comments.
I love the idea of the trans telepathy. You suddenly start hearing thoughts when you try on a bit of clothing and go "Oh.. well I guess that's affirming!" :D
Yeah I just love how we're all super cool superheros in so many transphobes' minds, like telepathy sounds sick asf and super useful, I'd love to be able to remotely talk to other trans people like I bet I could get some great advice from more experienced folks. Or, y'know, the real thing to do would just be to ask everyone what their favorite pokémon is lol. No really, I'm curious, I have a soft spot for shuppet but it's so hard to pick favorites or if I'm more a fire, dragon or ghost type of guy lol
My biggest soft spot is for Lapras, @@discordiacreates6669 In PokeGo, I usually fight with Leafeon and Glaceon though.
Charmander is my favorite, but Lampent is a close second because I too love fire and ghost types :D
@@GreyishBobbi charmander was my first starter ever, second only to bayleaf because dinosaurs are cool. Lampent is also a great choice, nice weird design and the blue flames are cool. Ever seen shiny lampent as well? Now that one is super cool imo
@@discordiacreates6669 the first shiny I ever caught was a Litwick, actually! :D
As a Cis man, I can confidently speak on behalf of all men that Trans men are men. It’s just a prefix, Jamie’s still one of the boys.
You have a furry as your profile picture. You’re not a man, you most definitely can’t speak on behalf of men.
As another cis man, I completely agree with you!
@@therosbeyondgoat you’re a joke of a man too.
As another cis man, i can confirm
None of you can confidently speak on behalf of men because none of you are men 😄
I dont get the people that say its all in your head...because yeah duh, thats what gender is. How you view yourself. Just because some people have the luxary of matching whats in their head doesnt change that gender is something mental for everyone. You should be allowed to have others see you like you see yourself
Also, i just wanna say that you look way better post transition and i think that has everything to do with your confidence and loving yourself more. You always look so deeply out of place and sad in your pre trans pictures. I think that can be used to say how important being able to transition is
Have a good new year!
Nah gender is stored in the larynx
@@glorpri gender is stored on the stomach because I ate it, there's gender no more 😈
I gonna be Honest, before I come to myself than i was Trans, i had the Famous "Insert a transphobic phrase here" and "Insert other Transphobic phrase here too" but look at me, Finally knowing myself and noticing how stupid it was that... And tbh, idc if I will not give birth to a baby, adoption exist and i preffer to make a Kid happy by they getting adopted than giving birth to one and keeping a child without any parents (Ik i can adopt one even if i have a Baby, but you got the point.)
ive been looking at trans content for years, but the *second* i watched one of Jamie's vids my egg snapped.
I don't know if anyone else has been in this boat, but i love all of his content and he is an inspiration. anyway, have a good next year!
Jamie must be good at making omelettes, because he definitely knows how to crack some eggs!
It's awesome when they think they have the power to hurt you, but they're actually helping you! Love you Jamie!
Heres a positive comment. I have ocd and you've been a great exposure to me. I dont even feel the need to do any compulsions when I watch your videos anymore. Keep up the good work man. You're a great inspiration.
The first one got me rotfl, not because the joke was funny, but because it's so stupid lmao
I could say so much about these idiots, but I love how much you emphasized the "then" in the first one! LOL. BTW, your hair looks terrific.
In response to the question how 2023 was, I managed to get to a big step closer to returning to my pre depression self. I've started dating again, while it's still early on I'm glad I was able to open myself up again to actual dating. Though it's a bit of a special situation, she's an old classmate of mine from Japanese classes and I met her when I just started dating my now ex-wife. I had a good feeling about her even back then, now we had a first date a bit ago and planned a few more dates. Now I'm not getting ahead, but I feel optimistic. BUT the major issue is, I'm starting to be able to trust people again, which was the most impactful issue for my own psyche after my divorce. So wish me luck on the next few dates ^^
I’m FTM trans and 9 months into my hormone therapy and I love watching you it makes me feel good about what to hopefully expect cause my transition is going slower than I’ve hoped but i know it’s different for each person just watching you makes me feel better.
Yeah no. "Female to male"? Really. So did you get a prostate? Did you get male sex chromosomes/organs with hormone shots?
@@Draco19970125get a life, :)
And you don't need all that to be a man. But tbh with your lack of human decency, I doubt you're human :)
Congrats on 9 months on hormone therapy!!! I wish you the best of luck with your transition
@@phoenixfox4851 1)"transitioning" doesn't exist - you are what you were born as. No surgery can make a female into a male.
2)Having abnormally high testosterone levels - why should we congratulate?
@@Draco199701251) transitioning does exist, do you have memory loss or something?
2) Because these „abnormally high“(aka about average) testosterone levels improve the persons health. You also celebrate someone defeating cancer or getting an organ transplant since it is an improvement to the persons health.
2023 had some of the first babies born through uterus transplants, so actually trans women giving birth is a possibility! An intersex woman was born without a uterus, but her mother donated hers, and so technically her child and her both grew in the same womb, which is weirdly sweet?

It never ceases to amaze me how many people thinks it's their business to decide who and what others should be. I have often been accused of "wishing I was a man". Evidently, I actually AM a man, because I was infertile (now I'm just old). I don't suffer from gender dysphoria, but I am loud, out-spoken, intelligent, and insist on not being treated as a 2nd class person because I neither have nor want a penis. People are just stupid and mean. You do you. I'll do me. I wish I had your optimism... I did once, but life has beaten it out of me (especially the last 8 years here in the US). Happy New Year!! May love win over hate!!
Thank you for making it clear that using "mentally ill" as an insult is also terrible.
Hear me out, we should collectively start reappropriating the phrase "facts over feelings" from trans/homophobes. ESPECIALLY when they are spewing factually incorrect nonsense
Well 2023 was the year I socially transitioned. So 2024 can only get better.
