Sorry I'm late to the party, just found this. I sincerely hope that you're joking. Her husband was framed, ostracized and then killed, and this chick is rambling about a boogeyman. You do understand that this is fiction, right? The character of Holly doesn't exist. 🤣 And neither does the boogeyman. Good grief.
@@michelleprieur1 you’re the one writing think pieces. Holly was right so to watch her get yelled at knowing she did the right thing isn’t a good feeling.
@@bhattsumeet best way to do it. Most of the times Book is so much better than Movie / show watching it won't be fun after reading the book . This show is one of the best Stephen King adaptations ever, but I still think book is even better after watching this.
I heard Stephen King might be giving Holly her own book..she is an interesting character and id like to see this actress reprise her role as Holly if they choose to adapt it.
I really don't get it why and how this show is sooooo underratted....same for the Terror series....the outsider is one of the best shows I've ever seen
It was because it was just one season and I think it was overshadowed by the COVID By the way, if you wanna know what happens next, you should probably read If It Bleeds, it's a sequel to the story.
Sometimes these things are changed when they adapt stories for the screen. Willow Rainwater for example was an indigenous woman in the book, but in the show she’s a black woman. I think it all comes down to which actor the casting people think can bring the right stuff to the table. I loved Cynthia’s version of Holly though.
@@Skinniest_Kween from what I can find the director originally had holly as white, but wanted this actress in the show as some role. Rainwater was Native American and written really weird
Holly is white in the books and her whiteness is essential to her character in the books but Erivo is so good in the role every time I read the books it's Cynthia Erivo I hear and see in my mind's eye.
Anytime a black person steps into any role. Whether it’s acting, or coaching, or any leadership role they are automatically judged and then the bar is set. They have to prove their competence and their worth. When in turn a white person can be mediocre and somehow praised for doing slightly over the bare minimum. I have seen it time and time again.

Cynthia acting her face off!!! So good...
I can’t believe how far she’s come!
Excellent Series one of the Best in Years.
The book and show were perfect 👌
I laughed so hard when she said Getting the goods on the boogeyman was their plan 😂
That lady made me so mad when she yelled at Holly😭

I may be mistaken but I’m sure this happened in the book as well.

That's reality yelling at fiction..
OMG Elphaba
this is a fantastic show...man I love Stephen King.
I’m currently reading the book and I love it! I’m gonna have to rewatch the show again.
Is it advisable to read the book after watching the series???

I would totally read/watch that! I hope it happens.
It totally happened! Well the book anyway so far. 😊

Good book hopefully they make a TV show of the book. Or even a movie.
@@joshuagonzalez2594 Either actress of Holly would knock that right out of the park
I felt so bad for Holly

Omfggggg I didn’t even realize that was Cynthia I’m SHOCKED
It made me so sad when Heath killed himself in prison. An innocent man. 🥺
Cynthia brought Holly to life.
I'm reading the book version. It's good but very dark.
I'm not being racially insensitive but when ai read the novel I pictured Holly as a middle aged White Gypsy.
Holly also appears in the TV show Mr. Mercedes. She is white, 32, not a gypsy. She is way better and closer to the book than this version.

This scene was so messed up, nothing like the book. I won't be watching the rest of the series
I can't stand Cynthia Erivo as an actress. In my opinion, she makes an AWFUL pitiful Holly Gibney. Books were SO much better!
