Uncle Phil isn't handing over blank checks . Division Street is well managed and yes well funded. And so is Texas , Georgia, Alabama ,USC , Ohio State....
Oregon has beaten some of these teams without having the "highest bid" ) they just beat Texas that way) . Every blue chip is going to get a bag of money somewhere. It's the other stuff that makes Lanning and Oregon stand out....

@@TheFilmGuyNetworkI'm not exaggerating, this is a comment I actually saw under a OSU fan podcast. They said Oregon would keep it close for one half and then it would be a blowout like against Akron, winning by 20+.
Let's forget the fact that we beat them comfortablg at their place the last time we played with a significantly worse staff, roster, and scheme. I cannot remember the last time someone beat Oregon by 20 in Autzen. The only one that comes to mind is against the Huskies in the 4-8 year.
It just doesn't happen. You're lucky if you can win here. Trying to blow us out is a pipe dream. Unless you're Georgia in 2022. I think they'd have beaten us down regardless of home field advantage. Like I knew we'd lose that game but DAMN I still got some mental scarring from that. I'm usually pretty cocky about going against teams, thats the one school I'm not talking any trash about at all. 😂😂😂

Lanning can recruit and Lanning can put a teram on the field that can win. There is no question about this. However, there always seams to be a team around that can beat Oregon. Lately it was Washington and before that Utah. Lanning has to get that monkey off his back so Oregon can win the big games. Oregon is now his team and virtually 100% his recruits. If he can find a QB as good as Nix and beef up the defense, Oregon has a legitimate shot at winning it all.

Oregon went head to head against Ohio St for 4 top recruits and won all four of them. FYI Uncle Phil is not the only billionaire Oregon alum signing checks, they have a very wealthy alumni base and Phil has promised Oregon is going to get the bulk of his money when he dies so Oregon is not going anywhere when Phil passes. It’s just obvious that haters don’t want Oregon to win anything. And when they get 5⭐️’s recruits, they always say it’s all about Phil Knight money. But if it’s about TEAMS LIKE TEXAS or A&M spending money and LAHMBO, we only hear it once.
