I really like your presentation..it was very useful and informative...when you were explaining the type tool for bullets and lists, I couldn't quite understand how you got the bullet point and list to appear ...do I have to access that feature in character? or is there an easier method? thanks. Norm

I was just typing like a word document. For example typing " - " to create a bullet.

    Very good video Brendan !
This update is nothing big or revolutionary, but there are few and nice updated or improved features.
Illustrator also had an interesting update

When I use the selection brush I can invert the selection but when I add a layer mask to remove the background it does not make it transparent. Not sure what I am doing wrong.

    • @BrendanWilliamsTutorials
      @BrendanWilliamsTutorials  3 месяца назад

Maybe you should check the brush opacity? Perhaps the adjustment isn't being applied with full visibility

@@BrendanWilliamsTutorials I did check the opacity and that was not the problem.

Photoshop will release five exciting new features in July 2024: enhanced content-aware fill, upgraded neural filters with new effects, improved smart object management, advanced AI selection for accurate edits, and a streamlined interface for faster feature access. These improvements should improve the effectiveness and innovation of your photo editing.

The only really useful stuff is the addition to the Shape Tool and having Firefly within PS. For localised adjustments I still prefer to use ACR; better flexibility and more adjustments. The new Selection Brush Tool is a complete waste of space.

    • @BrendanWilliamsTutorials

Fair. I don't think I will use the Selection Brush Tool much either currently.

I have been using quick mask for 25+ years, so I agree,
and not all adjustment layers are available.

AI seems to have cancelled copyright because it is using existing images to ‘generate’ its response. If I use a generated photo featuring, say, a person, where do I stand if the original photographer or model Sue’s me?

It is the way Adobe's AI working. AI's pictures is generated on base of existing graphics which are created by users. So (I see it like this) Adobe came to conclusion that we don't need programers, we have AI. AI now creates new tools for Adobe. Tools made of existing ones.

Hey man, information is very good but I feel your viewers like myself are much more advanced than what you make them out to be. I just about got through it, but if this video was 4 mins long it would be ideal! Just dragged a lot.
New subscriber here but just my thoughts

I hear you but then that would exclude beginners, which is a major group I aim to help.
Hard to balance pace in a public setting (vs a private class or course) when you have advanced and total newbie watching the same video. I aim to make content everyone can make sense of, and for those more advanced, i have timestamps ;)

The Selection Tool is just removing one step - the mask creation? I hoped it would be an all in one Object Selection Tool. It also doesn't work at all without the Contextual Bar.
Looks like another step towards simplifying PS for absolute beginners, which isn't bad per se, but it feels deceiving.
Making the Remove Tool default to 'may eat generative credits' is a jerk move, much like the Generative Remove in LR eating a credit /per brush stroke/!
And lastly, Lumenzia is still laughably superior when it comes to advanced, accurate, non destructive masking with a click of a button.
They should just stop these oldschool 'round brush your way to victory' attempts at tools and buy Greg's Lumenzia for big, big money. It's worth it.

Damn selection brush tool might be PS's most useless redundancy yet... Adobe please add some features for professionals like a cmyk ink density alert like you have in InDesign!!!!!
