I miss that part of Oregon and the forest trails down to the ocean. I'm going to show my mom this video as she would love to see that beach. What a great time to be living the dream. Much love and respect.
Ben you are such a boss for this. I surf NorCal SoOr all the time. Current is crazy up here but there is some legendary spots I’ve really wanted to show you. Patrick’s Point for one and moonstone beach when it’s firing. You are a maniac dude. I wish you came this week it’s all warm and nice glassy barrels
Yeeewwww🤙🏻 local Oregon waters!!! Hope you enjoy Oregon and it’s crazy waves she offers!! Awesome video per usual Buddy, keep up the stoke and many awesome waves🤙🏻🙏🏻
The shark's, in that water are mostly 6-gill sharks. They are massive, hungry and know how to ebb and flow the surf to grab prey in ankle deep water. Take good care of your dog.
nice to know you always catch a wave for me , can't do it myself any more, too broken , but I live so vicariously through you brother, and I pray for you and your wife and crew always , keep up the good work the good vibes , and for God's sake stay healthy, there's more than me who live through your next adventure, love and peace
Thank you so much for sharing your journey with us! What an epic trip so far! Have a safe and happy Memorial Day. Looking forward to seeing what you guys get into next. For the dream..!
@@ponolovefarms3926everyone is welcome; I didn't say don't come, just thanks for not showing our fickle hidden gems and attracting droves up people in camper vans from places far and wide traversing up and down the Oregon Coast (there are already lots). If you come, you're welcome, just like anyone should be- the Oregon Coast is a rugged beautiful place and the surf scene is small but thriving. Like anywhere with consistent big waves, it can be kind of dangerous, and our best spots are just that. They're sharky, cold, isolated, have crazy currents and for many, are surfed alone, which is unadvisable for most surfers that are not familiar with the area. Not trying to be exclusionary, more cautionary, this place is not friendly like 80% of the time (conditions and people). I have been surfing for 30 years but only surfing in Oregon for 8, and it took me 5 years of exploring to figure out where to find good waves and make friends with some people that grew up here. Random people coming up hoping to score on their first drive up the coast might be super disappointed. The allure of good waves on video is often enough for people to make trips/paddle out at places they generally wouldn't, and perhaps aren't ready for. That's when safety can become an issue. I appreciate your sentiment and I hope now mine is less misunderstood.
@@danielwildrick5990totally facts I was surprised he didn’t show at least a decent spot haha. I would not paddle out there haha. Respect on post and very true about danger. Seems like a lot of coast guard saves of surfers this year. As there is every year.
We strive to make today, a memorable one. Although most get lost to time, this one is sure to stay. Epic Road Trips along the West Coast, will do that! I'm stoked for you guys, and the experiences you are having! Positive Vibes and West Coast Love you and the crew!! 🤙.. Yewww
As a Southern California surfer for 35 years, the first time I surfed a little spot called surfers beach in Seaside- Oregon the current was horrendous & the paddle out equally difficult. Kudos to Ben for his courageous go out.
Last week was sick and he surfs this shit spot when we were getting barreled pure glass in Oregon last week. Gotta hit up the dudes that surf every single day up here if you want the best waves in Oregon.
Thank you for sharing The banz product with us surfing up in Oregon is terrify because you know you have huge whites swimming around you. This product seems to work what a piece of mind.welcome to Oregon ✌🏽✌🏽
Curious if you have made it to Pistol River, Sebastian & Gold Beach. Plenty of fun breaks up to Florence. If you get a chance check the south jetty in Florence. Used to park my RV on the jetty for weeks at a time. If the the tide is low and there is a swell, fun novelty wave up the river along the jetty.
Rural Coastal Oregon is incredibly beautiful. And because of the latitude, there's pretty consistent wind swell in the Summer, from weaker lows in the Gulf of Alaska. So that spot you were pioneering looks like an essentially average, random Beach/Reef. Do-able - but probably not worth the drive down a long side road to check or to surf. It sounds like the guy who lives there doesn't even bother with it. It was a yeoman's effort, on your part, to find some wheat amongst all of that chaff. When I think of Novelties, I have high standards. I want a potentially makeable barrel, perhaps even a "Super Tube". A gem of some sort...a diamond in the rough, at a minimum, preferably a finely cut and polished stone. There's a lot of beaches on the West Coast, and unique set-ups. Most are something like an Agate or Sea Glass. I have a fantasy of showing you some legit spots, some day. I'd want to keep most of them "secret"s, but that doesn't preclude filming...just tight lipped precautions, and non-identifying camera angles. You've done things like that in the past, I've seen.
@@masonmunkey6136 No. There's legit waves that qualify for sketch factor, or wedge bounce effects. But I'm not going to name any more of them, than the one I already did.

Determination to find dream novelty wave is admirable. Looks like very challenging conditions
If it's in the ocean being produced by normal swell then it's just called a wave
A nice accurate illustration of what Oregon surf is usually like
I can understand the free feeling of not wearing a leash. But with these conditions? Ma Man, you're dedicated!
Way to go Ben! Definitely feel like part of the food chain in the fridge. Happy Memorial Day! Be safe.
What a spot to own your home. The house was truly the dream🙌 Happy travels and stay stoked🍍
I hope you had sessions at the better breaks. This stretch of coast always had mystique but we usually raced through to get to the better breaks. 😁

Aloha and Positive energy from Charleston, Oregon!

There are no good waves here.
You guys should do a black soft top with the one giant pineapple in the bottom if you update the look!
I highly recommend the Wave Bandit 5'8" Retro Fish. It's incredibly versatile, comes alive for both groveling and head high to my heart's content!!
I lived on Tillamook head in 1971 saw guys surfing 15 plus waves on big gun surfboards full thick wetsuit
