This song has so many levels. The album is called This Place Will Become Your Tomb and has a running theme of water throughout with songs like Atlantic and High Water as well as the album art. The lyrics talk about this person being in a middle ground of all the comparisons "not acid nor alkaline" Which, as you said, is pH 7 and the only substance that is pH 7 is water. The track is also the 7th track on the album,
The way I interpret the lyrics, if viewed from a relationship stand point, is that the other person is "neither acid nor alkaline" ie neutral, in other words is neither committed to the relationship nor to ending the relationship. Yet Vessel is totally committed to completely knowing the other person - "to the heart of her molecules." But Vessel is starting to see yet ignore the warning signs - "perfectly misaligned" & " I see in a different light, the objects of my desire." I interpret the video as Vessel being "comfortable" fighting off these insecurities, warning signs, and toxicity represented by the attackers in hazmat suits, but is stuck in a repeating cycle, represented by the video starting and ending with the same shot. Another single released from this same album also has a similar repeating cycle. That song, which also has a video, is The Love You Want. Of course, these are just my own thoughts, and I could be totally wrong!! I'm open to other people's more insightful interpretations. Great reaction. Stay safe 🤘 ✌️
I love that you tied it into the video with the toxicity being represented by the shooters. And the idea of being stuck in a loop definitely explains why the starting image reflects the end imagine - that’s awesome!
@@KoalityReactions Don't be so modest you know what you're talking about and I will keep watching your videos my friend this is Greg from Minneapolis Minnesota you always have a friend and fan here😊❤️🌹
As you like story telling performances I recommend Lara Fabian, "Je suis malade" from her concert "From Lara with love". Make sure you have some tissues with you on the ready.
Hahaha Okay phew. I’ve listened to Chokehold and also loved it! I’d have to listen to all of them back to back to pick a fav. But Bloodsport is a soft spot because it was my first.
I don’t necessarily take away from her not being acid or alkaline that she’s neutral. Just that he’s having difficulty defining her, but isn’t that bothered, and maybe it’s the ambiguity that he’s most attracted by. Either way, it’s music. Everyone has the freedom to take away from it whatever they want to
Would be cool to get a Sleep Token interview and hear from their own mouth what the song is about. I'd hope they wouldn't give a "whatever you want it to mean" answer
Witnessing probably one of the hardest sleep token transitions and it’s just “is that a spider?!?!?!” Is hilarious
Vessel is a confirmed Sith Lord.
Ahahaha YES!
A sith LORD?

Their song "The Love You Want" is great along with the beautiful music video. Don't worry there aren't any spiders lol

I love your videos the way you breakdown songs I learn things from your knowledge and you are absolutely gorgeous as well 😊❤
Oh I assure you I know nothing! 😂 It’s all just personal thoughts and feelings about the art. But I’m glad they’re entertaining at least. 🤍

I could listen to Vessel sing War and Peace, any dry literature, a phone book. 😊
Right? I always say Vessel could sing the ABCs, and I'd eat it up. He has such a beautiful voice.
@@StuckInTheQuantumPattern I could listen to that on repeat 😊

“Perfectly balanced?” That pH is…”neutral.”
Yes! On the pH scale, 7 is neutral!
No spider that I seen, your safe.
I love this song I think it might be my favorite Sleep Token. But Chokehold is pretty good to.

Apropos to your opening comment, this is the 7th song on the album…not acid nor alkaline
Noooo! Hahaha Oh my god I love that. Well done.
Aha, Jenna doesn’t like spooders 😂, I think I’m gonna post a few big ones in Discord 🤣
What’s not to like about ST? They 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Yes they’re helpful! They just move too fast and have too many legs. 😭
The moment she said “Is that a spider” I was like “Wait till she sees the bigger one.”
Edit: Yes that was a spider Lol.
