Surviving reapers in dark space: "SHIT THERES ANOTHER ONE!!!!!" (Edit: i know this is 6 years late, just returning to mass effect again and saw this now)
"She's alive?" "And 8 months pregnant." "Fucking hell." I always hated Addison, her face was just hideous. But the way she said "fucking hell". That was unexpected. I don't know why, but the more I continued the story, the more I liked her.
Contraceptives are a thing, even in our times. Affecting the hormones is usually reversable and can be maintained through the food and water supply the population of the outposts and Nexus has. It's not the same as snipping off people's bits. Easy enough to reverse when the time is right, especially given the fact that half the people in Andromeda are scientists of some measure.
Honestly, I think we should have had an option to punish Kennedy in some way, or at least admonish her. She came off as really selfish and callous to me. She stole supplies from people who needed them to survive, and didn´t feel a shred of remorse. Seriously, why did she feel the need to go off and breed when people on the Nexus were in such a shitty situation? Couldn´t she have waited a few more months, until the conditions were more viable? She picked the worst time possible to have a kid. I really dislike Addison, but I´m with her on this one. The Initiave didn´t need more mouths to feed. This quest just left me feeling bitter. I had no sympathy for her. To be honest, I didn´t even want to help her.
Maybe I am looking at this the wrong way but it seems to me that this Zoe Kennedy is a selfish person that got away with what she done, not only has she put strain on the andromeda project by adding a new mouth to feed, she puts the pathfinder in danger to save her and she just gets away like nothing happened I am likely looking at this the wrong way or may I missed something big but it seems like she learns nothing from this ordeal.
Nah, that's how I viewed it as well. They stole from other outposts and made life harder on other people who were trying to get a new start on life because they couldn't wait the equivalent of a few more months. Mind, when Kennedy left the Nexus it was in a state of upheaval and ruin - so I can understand wanting to leave and ensure that some specks of humanity would survive. However when the Nexus started improving, a fact her trackers would have shown, she didn't come back and instead continued to steal supplies meant for the outposts. I have no sympathy for her and neither did the Ryder I was roleplaying. Plus we learn there are others like her out there, but as far as we're aware they didn't steal to get by. Though that's partially because it was a one off line with no deeper context. Far as I'm concerned, I wish there could have been an option to at least verbally grill the woman. My Ryder didn't want to ruin the legacy of the project by incarcerating the parents of the first human child born to the Initiative, but she wanted to do -something- other than pretend Kennedy's actions were acceptable. :/
CeruleanRogue thanks for that, I thorght I was just being silly. I just wish she could be punished for what she did, and the man she is wiith her as well, he is just as bad as her.
Guess we will be having a future Admiral and Councilor in the Andromeda system in a couple of years. I bet he will be as tough and reckless as his mother, Anderson will be proud for his old friend. RIP Admiral David Edward Anderson
I am missing "Paragon and Renegade" system! Playing the game I just feel like everyone using me and the character don't have it's own opinion. I know they tried to bring more gray tones instead of black and white, but now it's ONLY gray. When something goes to shit the Pathfinder doesn't react angry or heroic, he/she just making a joke. Its taking my out of story a lot.
It also hinders the illusion of choice: with the paragon or renegade choices, you often got an immediate acknowledgement of your decision in seeing Shepard get emotional / brutal during dialogue, and characters usually had one or two additional lines to react to it. Even if your response changed nothing in the grand scheme of things, even if the dialogue still proceeds as usual afterwards / ends the same, you still had the chance to roleplay and got the immediate feedback. Now, it's like choosing two different lines in the script which don't really define your character at all, because anyone could say any of those two lines. Paragon Shepard wouldn't murder someone because he or she could, Renegade Shepard would never let anyone boss him or her around. You usually had two radically different options to reflect that. Both Shepards could joke around, flirt, act professional or whatnot. But Ryders don't have any strong character traits, they're just being casual and plain.
With Shepard, while meeting someone important and new, you'd most likely get this: Are you alright? (nice option) | Who are you? (neutral option) | Identify yourself (no-nonsense option) + We're all in here together (Paragon option) | No sudden movements, or you're finished (Renegade option). Scott / Sara get something along the lines of: Hi, I'm the Pathfinder (casual) | You must be... (neutral) | Nice helmet (joking), and every option leads to the same outcome without really telling others about who you are. All those lines can be said, even one after another, with little to no difference. Ultimately, Shepard's dialogue ends up the same too - the nice, neutral and no-nonsense choices give you the same answer, but the delivery changes drastically. Here, not so much.
smokes and mirrors for the most part. Also people forget that Ryder has not the same freedom as shepard. Being an specter and being a pathfinder isnt the same and worst in a time of imidiate crisis...so obviously you cant go around punching everyone who looks at you funny and send everything to hell. Also the Paragon/Renegade system often conditioned what you would answer not by your preferences but what points you need it the most.....you want to be neutral with a little of paragon and renegade? well good luck ending miranda v jack or legion v tali arguments, or any choice that could resolve a conflict on a positive way (few had a third option) Not for nothing the "joke" of always going up or down without even looking at the answer. At least know i cant choose the tone i want and not the tone that is optimal, i can play like serious person and get emotional when shit goes down without worrying "do i have enought points for my next color choice?"
HYMN 312 You have to start all the way from the beginning with whatever level and skills you had from your previous playthrough. But don't take my word for it 100%. If you played Witcher 3 it would be similar to how the new game + in that.
I love Jaal's panicked voice, especially if he's romancing Ryder haha. "IS THIS NORMAL?!?"
That explains why Angara families are huge. The females probably have an easy time with birthing processes.
Drive Nomad madly he cries like a little girl :DD
Jaal: "ALWAYS give the mother the gun!"
He's either got the right idea or the wrong one. Can't decide which.
Little bit of column A and little bit of column B?
A bit of both maybe
You did good, son. You did good.

Thanks you sir...Anderson? *music*
Ildun now I'm depressed again
Zoe said: "lungs like a banshee" She must be talking about the mythological one; They left way before the asari banshees were even around in the war
Rado Heineken yeah it's most likely that and just a small wink to fans
Not so much because some message manage to get through into the Initiative in Post-ME3 as a certain Encrypted Messages in the game revealed
aren't banshees a mythical creature as well? not just an alien thing?
Rado Heineken God... Banshees, I hate them.
i fully agree at the mf3 temple i end up using all of my frag and/inferno grenades well going CRAP CRAP CRAP CRAP
I always imagined Shepard's (male or female) first son to be named after Anderson.
Rest well Anderson. Kee'lah se'lai!

"You're pregnant? How'd that happen?" Really Ryder?
lunchmeat5000 Alec never taught her how to form babby
randomman10396 lol why tf would they prevent pregnancies what if they cant reverse it and they all go extinct...
Well, when a mummy and daddy love each other very much...

you are not very bright are you? why would they give you a contraceptive that they couldn't remove?
Wow! She lost that baby weight quickly, what is her secret?
daasbuffy Space technology
+ Zerebrat Eightyseven Even after birth you still retain a little bit of "padding".
The get up she's got on is probably doing plenty of work. Or they use their space medical magic to get her back in action right away.
Space Magic.
Element Zero
Ah, in your name, Arbit...I mean Anderson.
m3tr0id86 haha got it
Rebel Scum To be honest I actually have a habit of calling Sarah Palmer, Shepard most of the time. You know the Renegade-ish type one.
No, Sgt Foley
Anderson would've been proud...
Of the baby? Nah. Of Ryder? Yeah, he/she is essentially Heleus's Shepard
I'm naming my first born after Keith David also
Boy or girl doesn't matter they will be called Keith David
lol

I didn't do it for her. I did it for the baby.
We should have punished Addison not Kennedy, she did so many bad choices that i stopped counting them after some point...
Life, uh, finds a way
Something tells me that the Admiral's in whatever passes for an afterlife doling out whatever passes for krogan booze and Cuban cigars
Krogan beverage of choice would be Ryncol.
The legend continues;)
Loved that guy

yup, some dumb selfish people couldn't wait to have babies. Seriously, WTF.

Wissenschaft thanks for the reply as well, it was something I did not expect my comment would receive any attention so thank you.
Anderson was the best space dad. Let’s be real.
Guess we will be having a future Admiral and Councilor in the Andromeda system in a couple of years.
I bet he will be as tough and reckless as his mother, Anderson will be proud for his old friend.
RIP Admiral David Edward Anderson
For a minute I was getting excited bc the satellite looked a lot like the voyager when sent in the 60’s and 70’s like “ITS SURVIVED 700 years!”
I always liked to think that MShep would name his son David.
played the mission but didn't realise the reference at the time.... waha thak you!
I was so close to tears, honestly. David would be proud
You driving an Austin Healey or MGB dressed like that?
Hell you even have the leather driving gloves lol
???: After Captain David Edward Anderson?
Dr. Kennedy: Yes. Did you knew him?
???: Yeah. He was um... He was a friend of mine, to.
7:53 😅
I named my Ryder after Anderson.
Would have picked the name Shepard but I guess David's good too.
Shepard is a Last Name
StormDracoX It can be a first name too.

KonstantineK _1701 In here what you say, to me, feels like has almost no impact in the game events.

tho not much is changed in both of them in the big scheme the shepard option manages to give you the illusion of choice
smokes and mirrors for the most part.

I really would've like it to see the baby in this mission
D.E. Wells, that actually has a ring to it.
Jaal's comment is the best lol
Should have been named Shepard
Does anyone know how to play through the entire campaign again in new game + without going back to the prologue and restarting everything?
HYMN 312
You have to start all the way from the beginning with whatever level and skills you had from your previous playthrough. But don't take my word for it 100%. If you played Witcher 3 it would be similar to how the new game + in that.
So do you know what exactly I lose from it?
you keep all your equipment and skills when you start a new game plus
HYMN 312 nothing you keep it all im starting new game +
hopefully new game + lets me keep my research
so what was that i heard about andromeda having no meaningful quests? it seems the internet blew things out of proportion again
7:10 Andromeda in one sentence
Im just here like, what was that about being fine without us?
now only to hope for ending explanation that pleases everyone, and what LI Shepard got.
Literally just realized after a few days of watching your videos that your Ryder doesnt look like absolute shit like the base one, nice
What weapon are you using? not sure if it's a sniper?
Arturo Serrano Jr. it is a sniper. Maybe a Widow
Thanks
Should've named him Arbiter
Name aside is there any concrete proof the baby was named after Anderson?
God I miss the original Mass Effect graphics.
First off. Cheers for David Andersson.
Secondly. What outfit is that
Wow RUclips unsubscribe me
I can't stand the animation in this game.
