I feel like I am the only one who thought that how fast Ryder forgiven his sister was in character; people don't always get crazy angry. Some peeps have light nature.
Ram Kitten that's what I thought too, they are light-hearted,and pretty close siblings? I can't be mad at my siblings longer than a few minutes whatever they do.
I hope there's dialogue about you and Jaal. "Hey I've been hearing some rumors, so there's an alien race here in Heleus?" "Yeah, the Angara" "And there's one in your crew?" "yup, his name is Jaal" "And... I've also heard you're.... together?" "yup" "Whaaaa"
Damn, glad I'm not the only one pissed at that crap. Your spouse was shot (from what I could tell) in the chest and refrozen almost immediately. It should have been possible (with hand-wavy Fallout science) to create a synth replica of your spouse! Why didn't Bethesda seize this opportunity?! Your spouse could have been a fully voiced companion! This is almost as bad as not having the option of giving Bradberton (from NukaWorld) a synth body if you sided with the institute.
First, its the single parent that died. Second he was told before hand that the father was dead before sara got there, and third, if you actually listen to everything you would know that the father was always a distant figure, never being there for his kids.
College expenses put a halt on my video game funds and time I could devote to games, so thank you so so so much for posting these! At least I can experience new games vicariously!
The one thing I love about this game compared to the trilogy. Maybe the only thing, is that they all survive, all continue to journey together. Nobody dies, nobody leaves etc. I was so afraid that the sibling wasn't going to make it
I've noticed an interesting trend. In all the clips that I've seen on RUclips of the twin waking up, the majority of Sara players will lie to Scott while he's in a coma about their dad, while the majority of Scott players will tell Sara what happened (though it's been 50/50 on whether they'll tell her the truth about Habitat 7). Of course, both choices have good intentions behind them so I'm not even sure which one I plan on going with.
Ugh. Sometimes the badness of the writing is hard to pinpoint, but here you can very clearly see the dialogue was devised by an inexperienced writer.... "I'd hoped I could be here to make it better" instantly removes all of his anger. (0:35) Seriously? If you'd just woken up to learn your dad is gone and your sister lied, that line will make you completely accept everything?? This is just a weak excuse to continue with the story. It would have been much more natural if he didn't want to see her for a mission. They could even have made it so that he only forgives her after she comes to ask for help on whatever choice is next, and he realizes just how much weight has been dropped on her shoulders. So many creative and understandable options, and they simply rush through it! I miss the days where Garrus had some actual character development after not-shooting Sidonis.....
I mean...Yeah it sucks, but it feels like both Ryders were written with light hearted characteristics. Aka, they easily forgive each other if they want. So for me, this was keeping in character.
The writing team that worked on Andromeda is very fresh indeed. I think only 3 of the writers are seniors. That would be Mac, Lukas and Sheryl. I can really see the difference in what they've written and what the others have. None of this will have anything to do with Dragon Age 4 anyway, it has its own team and all writers save David Gaider is still accounted for. We got Patrick Weekes as lead, he wrote Solas, Cole, Iron Bull and Trespasser. He also wrote Mordin, Tali and the good parts of Mass Effect 3. He was also the only writer that called the Mass Effect 3 ending bullshit! Which is great. So i have faith in the Dragon Age team still.
That part (which, if you didn't lie, i think it's the cutest scene in the game, because of the hugging) is nowhere near as awkward as the questioning that follows it . I think that they could've provided a better excuse for the way they just review over stuff from the past both of the twins should know, like a test to check Scott didn't suffer memory damage.
If I woke up from a coma after 600 years of cryo sleep and I learnt that my brother lied to me about my father's death, the moment I see him I would strangle him. And I would hug him five seconds later. It's not bad writing, they just rushed this scene like the whole game because EA decided Bioware didn't need 2 more months like it was originally planned
Ain't no sequel happening, but if it were, I bet whichever sibling you didn't play as would end up dating one of your squadmates if you didn't romance anyone
The frame is bad... I mean this is kinda supposed to be a Brother sister bonding moment not a random NPC talk. The shot could have been better. close ups, changing camera views from Ryder to Ryder whoever is talking and we didn't need to see those people on the Background that looked awfully awkward them listening in to the discussion....
except it might have made him weaker since with serious illness the mind set of a person is important in recovery. Telling him his dad is dead might have made him want to give up.
I love watching the Developers whine and complain about the weirdness not being the animators' faults and yet glitchy crap like the animation bugging out at 1:20 happens all throughout the game.
God I hate this game. Millions of dollars, tons of work, and a lot of time were spent on this game. The expectations were high and the game had so much more potential. :(
Damn you Bioware and your uncanny skill of inadvertently promoting incest!!! Why did I have to be his sister? 😒 At least I can change him, and remove his appeal, not like DA2.
Look at the three medics standing awkwardly in the corner eavesdropping, lol.
"I wonder if Sara will notice the dick we drew on Scott"
"Oh doctor you are naughty"
I feel like I am the only one who thought that how fast Ryder forgiven his sister was in character; people don't always get crazy angry. Some peeps have light nature.

She had her reasons and he understood, you don't switch galaxies to ditch your sibling..
I love the creepy people in the background just staring at you :P
Hahaha I know, I couldn't bring myself to focus on conversation, because of that :D
Now you know how all those npcs in the original trilogy felt when shepard eavesdrop in their conversations
I hope there's dialogue about you and Jaal. "Hey I've been hearing some rumors, so there's an alien race here in Heleus?" "Yeah, the Angara" "And there's one in your crew?" "yup, his name is Jaal" "And... I've also heard you're.... together?" "yup" "Whaaaa"
scott is awake
ZAVIER BRADSHAW The Scott Awakens.
Pretty glad this wasn`t a case of Fallout 4 levels of killing of the other character creator person.

@@DeathlyDavid well what’s the point of romances if the spouse was still there? 🤣 I like my Hancock
So glad the sibling wakes up :D
Aww, his anger makes me so sad. :( Glad that he got over it, though.
Is it me or is the reaction to the death of your parents seems pretty lacklustre??
Very.
First, its the single parent that died. Second he was told before hand that the father was dead before sara got there, and third, if you actually listen to everything you would know that the father was always a distant figure, never being there for his kids.
I thought he meant when your character finds out and is given the title of pathfinder. "Oh, my dad's dead!" *Goofy face*
College expenses put a halt on my video game funds and time I could devote to games, so thank you so so so much for posting these! At least I can experience new games vicariously!

So Sara has been playing hide and seek with hanars, while Scott - laser tag with turians and salarians
FluffyLlamaNinja you have to do the Movie Night scene, it's the best
I lied to Scott too and felt like garbage when he yelled at me.

KangDo I guess male players are typically more blunt than females
@@Xxsorafan what about the female players that play as Scott and who told the truth.
aka me
I play as Sara and I told Scott about Dad,depends.
Ugh.

What about what you saw above seemed like bad writing to you?
That part (which, if you didn't lie, i think it's the cutest scene in the game, because of the hugging) is nowhere near as awkward as the questioning that follows it . It's a nice touch that you can meet with yourself, well, with your sibling. A lot of fun could have happened in the trilogy if that would happened. :D
The scene is better in my opinion if you tell your twin the truth while he's in his coma
blackvial I sure did
So Ellen Ryder is the Marie Curie of biotics?
Nobody will be able to beat the Ryders!!!
Glad I told my sister the truth.
I'm glad I'm not some one who critiques everything I would hate to be that person
wonder if in the expansion dlc our sibling will join the crew or will we have to wait until the next game for that?
Ugh, why do people say that dialogue is bad in this game? It's realistic and lighthearted and I loved every bit of it.
How exactly do you wake your twin up? getting most if not all the memory triggers?
You have to progress past a certain point with the priority missions.
it's at a certain point in the story, I think it's 2 missions before the final mission!
WorkGalaxy47 thank you! ^^
Aggie Punbot thanks! ^^
I told my sibling that dad died
Zeleros71324 That's rough buddy
kookygremlin24 it's better too. no one likes finding out their dad died from someone other than family
me too and i told him the that habitat 7 is a bust. he got seizures and im laughing my ass of. what have i done.
the reunion scene is way better if you didn't lie, sara didn't denied the hug ;) but still is good to see the other side too
man the "soulless eyes" of Sara
1:19 lmao what happened there
Ain't no sequel happening, but if it were, I bet whichever sibling you didn't play as would end up dating one of your squadmates if you didn't romance anyone

I never played Mass effect but I kind of want it even though I watched all the spoilers. oops!
the intro was sad
I'm curious how many save files you have
cleanse the lands
YES YES!!
Why would you tell him his dad was alive.....thats pretty fucked up
I did the same. Why the hell would you tell him his dad is dead when he was so ill?
So he can process it while hes in a coma as he would have plenty of time to come to terms with it i guess?
except it might have made him weaker since with serious illness the mind set of a person is important in recovery. Telling him his dad is dead might have made him want to give up.
I was afraid it might mess with his recovery since he was in a fragile state.
I love watching the Developers whine and complain about the weirdness not being the animators' faults and yet glitchy crap like the animation bugging out at 1:20 happens all throughout the game.
also thats one thing i didnt like about this game as soon as your sibling awakes he or she is out of the game you can only visit them
kiss kiss kiss kiss kiss kiss
lol Eating paste huh? lol
I'm almost at the point of paying someone to put Metallica's One over this scene.
aww so much potential...wasted. Twin brother and sister trying to live up to his fathers dreams. How you screw that premise up?
God I hate this game. Millions of dollars, tons of work, and a lot of time were spent on this game. The expectations were high and the game had so much more potential. :(

K Monte I made my twin look different and more like my character and swapped Liam with a Scott model :P
I agree. Scott his hot. And actually I love his humor when playing him. If he were not my character I would totally romance him.
This "oh, ok" kind of dialogue and facial expression make this game lack of emotion attachment :(
