I've met Yeasayer while listening to random music on RUclips years ago, and it became my favorite band. A few months ago, they announced their split and I felt nothing but sadness for the fact that I never got the chance to see them live. They've only been to Brazil once, to perform on another city, and I was underage at the time. Now we have the COVID-19 pandemics and the uncertainty around ever seeing our favorite artists again. I guess we should just feel lucky for having records on their art
For those wondering, the drummer is Cale Parks. He was not a member of the band but is a solo percussionist who often accompanies other bands outside of working on his solo work. He is also one of the founding members of BRAHMS.
You can see how talented they truly are in these live recordings although it’s obvious in their first 2 or 3 albums. Wish I’d seen them live by now but I guess they’ve broken up but it seems like they’d easily get back together once COVID’s done. It’s pretty nice to see that one of the member’s signed to Last Gang Records though and seems like a win for Toronto cause he seems pretty talented and I love MSTRKRFT as well.
