I don't think it's very likely that Jones will earn the Vikes a Compensatory pick, because I think they will be net buyers in FA with the $80m that Kwesi is expected to have to spend. Especially given that Kwesi is expected to upgrade the roster with higher quality more expensive FAs at DT, CB and IOL. If they make more additions above the $4m threshold they won't be eligible for any Comp picks. I'm expecting Sam to be back though, and quite probably Cam Robinson, given that there may not be a lot of quality in FA at positions the where the Vikes are weakest. Maybe Kwesi could keep both Jones and Darnold and do some wheeling and dealing at the 2025 trade deadline when some teams might be desperate for a QB, and others might be facing hard decisions about moving on from a quality player to rebuild (like Dexter Lawrence, Simmons etc).
