I don't think it's very likely that Jones will earn the Vikes a Compensatory pick, because I think they will be net buyers in FA with the $80m that Kwesi is expected to have to spend. Especially given that Kwesi is expected to upgrade the roster with higher quality more expensive FAs at DT, CB and IOL. If they make more additions above the $4m threshold they won't be eligible for any Comp picks. I'm expecting Sam to be back though, and quite probably Cam Robinson, given that there may not be a lot of quality in FA at positions the where the Vikes are weakest. Maybe Kwesi could keep both Jones and Darnold and do some wheeling and dealing at the 2025 trade deadline when some teams might be desperate for a QB, and others might be facing hard decisions about moving on from a quality player to rebuild (like Dexter Lawrence, Simmons etc).

Agree that Sam's QB progression with Vikes & KOC is now progressing well. Sam has run the gamut already in just 2/3 of a season. Playing Great to Poor to Good. Sam turning things around is important. Sam's two game "bad period" had Sam holding the ball then throwing panic interceptions as the pocket engulfed him. KOC adjusted by taking some west coast philosophy "throws on time" - moving from quick looks to downfield looks but now replacing panic interceptions with check down or scrambles which limit sacks and Ints. KOC is sculpting a lump of talented clay into a competent starting NFL QB. Next up New KOC project: Mr. Daniel Dimes - Great content Luke. SKOL!

All Sam Darnold has to somehow fix is the interception problem and mainly the times in which he throws them. He fixes that, he's going to get the recognition he deserves. Oh, and holding on to the ball too long is starting to become an issue.

As a USC fan, I got in on the ground floor with Sam. Greatness hibernates. It doesn’t disappear. This is the quarterback he always was. Even if you’re not a fan of objective stats, even in high school he was always better with the game on the line and you gotta have it.

This is what the Viking offense should have been doing all season instead of forcing the ball to Jefferson the games that were closed and the games that we lost it was terrible Kirk Cousins was good about spreading the ball out whoever was open they were getting the ball as soon as Sam darnold learns that aspect and he's been doing better last game great will be hard to beat

Do you think we could see Dallas Turner play some snaps in that type of role? Pace has always been a see ball get ball kind of guy so I wonder if Turner in a spot like that could help?
