- Well, the audio recorded but not the video!
So, in regards to "dieting" we have a diversity of perspectives, which we should expect.
Hate dieting voice in my head
I know I "shouldn't" be dieting but can't seem to get past it
I don't diet but kind of feels like I diet because I limit the foods I binged
I don't care about dieting my problem is emotional eating at night for instant gratification
How to live in a world where everything and everyone revolves around food
Quitting smoking and drinking were easy but you have to eat!
Doesn't diet or try to lose weight, but cuts out flour & sugar, other foods that binged on for food addiction recovery
So before our next steps, thank you all for sharing.
Hearing that others are struggling in very similar ways can help bring perspective. One of my compassion tips :)
So please know you are not alone.
Ok, next steps.
It seems to me the next step would be to look at the "Cycle".
Whatever you call this "cycle" ... binge/diet cycle, emotional eating cycle, binge eating cycle, food addiction, etc ...
Just like we have a diversity of perspectives around "dieting" ...
This cycle goes by different names too.
My hope is that by seeing this cycle, you can identify if you're "in it".
Because I know for me ...
Years ago I was struggling but didn't have any language or concepts.
So in an upcoming pieces of content I'll examine this "cycle".
So that we can all be on the same page, and if not, talk about our differences :)
For starters, I'll show you a quick google image search about the "binge diet cycle" ...
And then I'll show you snippets from various books I've read over the years that talk about this "cycle".
Ok, so that's where we're at right now :)
Did I miss anything? Is there something I should include or look at in these upcoming pieces of content?
