ive eaten popeyes when i visited new york back 15 years ago. the way they cooked the chicken was in a pressure fryer which makes the chicken seal in the juices. so when you bite into it, it should be almost excessively juicy. if it is not, its not true popeyes.
When a restaurant first opens compared to 6 months later or longer is night and day different as staff are still learning on how to cook the meals etc can u go back in a few months bro see if theirs a difference
Chicken deluxe sandwich is better then the normal chicken sandwich, Mac n cheese yuk so is their potato n gravy, the chicken was cooked good when I was there
No comparison to the u.s, alil more seasoning options with there shit, depending where you are, the chickens trash, overpriced, couple of buckets from kfc for the price you paid 🤌
Tried it in Taupo, the Tenders are on but the regular chicken and the wings were average, crunchy coating which is very similar to the KFC hot and spicy batter but no alot of flavor compared to Kfry. Potato and Gravy was kind of plain, so was the mac and cheese. Id get the Tenders again with dipping sauces and the chips but thats it.
Just listening to your fellas feedback, it seems like popeye's chicken is 70% fat and 30% shrunken chicken meat. And the potato gravy no different from countdown processed food. At least with KFC you get a lot of meat and good portion of fat skin, 50/50 thereabouts.
