I’ve been struggling with barre chords for some time and no one EVER told me that tip. Surprised I didn’t think of it myself, but I never did haha. Thanks!
Great idea to capo to learn easier pressure and finger placement, as a beginner. Breaks us in gently with more success, I figure. I like the shower length of this video. Sometimes that's all I have time for. Thank you.
I watched your video 'Capos are for girls', minutes ago. The exact same idea hit me, as you now present it, in this video. 'Easy Way to Learn New Chords! (Especially Barre Chords!)' 👍🙏✌️
I appreciate how you explain everything clearly and detailed info without all the fancy terms. Easy to understand by the way you teach. Thanks and GOD bless!!!
One small tip to share if I may........... before putting on a capo, press all the strings down near to the fret where you want to put the capo. Sometimes capos will grab strings and pull them out of tune. Pressing the strings first reduces this from happening.
your position might be F or B etc. but with the capo those are positions only thye are not Fs or Bs or Cs they are different choords so yes new chords but you also need to know the names of those chords that your playing.. capos are great for being able to do chords that could be complicated for now and its also great for changing the key of a song expcially for your voice and still using familer positions.
Capos are fantastic especially when you have horrible guitars. Took me 15 years of playing before I ever started using one and like you, I wish I knew about them earlier. Only problem is it kinda makes you lazy and when you play without them after playing with them for a while, the guitar will sound dull. Maybe I just had shitty guitars thru the years. It also eats up your frets like crazy which is a big downside for me.
@Anang Fauzdar I know what you mean. Try concentrating the pressure - of your pointer finger on the b string / c note and the e string / f note, at the end of the second digit of that finger. -To the spot, right before the fold, the bone is enlarged, at the joint, ( of the second and third digit) try to locate that spot on your index finger, (by searching for it with your other hand) and lay it across the strings, in a manner that is similar to sleeping on ones side, in a fetal position (looks a bit like making a C-shape). Eventually you'll be awarded with a callus.
GrogueQ, you are actually one of the few who tells you in an easy manner, what a beginner needs to know, without trying to sell them something.
Thanks for your video. I teaching myself to play. 59 years young.
That's great!

I havent seen that before Im going to go back and try barre chords again
Good one! I’ve been struggling with all of that.
Yes, a capo lowers action so it's easier to fret. BUT, your fingers have to fit into smaller frets as you move up the neck.
I really like how I can feel the love and respect you have for nature.
Interesting, I will give it a try.
Let me know how it goes! 🙂
Much respect my friend

@Anang Fauzdar work on the E major chord first, and get that down pat. ✌️
Do you use a pitc
Yes.
