    Interesting 🤔. Not sure guess the question needs to be broader such as does Putin advocate it, or does the ruling majority approve it? That's more of a question for the CIA.
    I need a new virus program that can be used both on Android, and PC Windows 11 or 10. What do you recommend? I do finances on my computer.

    I think so long as the hacking/attacks are directed at foreign entities and peoples, organizations that engage in these things are tolerated and encouraged, if not outright endorsed or directed by some countries... and if a military conflict arises, these governments would use these criminal organizations to engage directly in targeted cyberwarfare.

    I know a lot are based in Russia and essentially enabled by the state (not directly supported but not stopped) however to me this is surely a bit too on the nose. The picture, the file extension no it has to be a batch of trolls that bought into Conti and because it is Russian changed it to that for the jokes. Then again maybe they’re just more arrogant than clever as most cyber criminals are at the end of the day

    If gpus were able to detect mining activity at hardware level and throttle it shouldn't cpus be able to detect encryption? If they wanted to stop this, they could.

      Yes but they couldn't detect if the encryption is malicious or not. A lot of people purposefully encrypt their SSD/HDD with BitLocker or LUKS for security purposes. This is especially useful on laptops which can be stolen, so you wouldn't want someone booting a live USB and reading all your data.

      @@martindjakovic7052 Yes they can, nobody encrypts millions of files at once. If you can detect unnormal activity you can block then. It won't save all files but most of them.

    To help stop ransomware/malware an any other crap, I did this.
    When I originally built my current machine, installed Win as normal on the small SSD possible.
    Even today, I save NOTHING to C drive except files needed for Windows run properly.
    I have 4 other H/Drives, 2~M.2 and 2~ SSD's. All for normal storage.
    Now, if you get ransomware, format~ reinstall windows....Nothing lost but little time!

    I think that malware like this is nor encouraged, nor punished. It's beneficial to them. Or this could be a state-sponsored attack, russia has a lot of experience with this type of attacks, they've done more ambitious attacks before. (They've been using Ukraine as a proving ground for years)

      @@Omar-bd6eg I know what I'm talking about. Russians have been causing major blackouts in Kyiv by hacking some parts of the electric grid since war started (in 2014). They've unleashed several viruses on Ukraine as well, "petya" (or "not petya", I don't remember) is an example of this.

      @@PCLinke Technically - yes. We can go to the local store and order or buy it. But practically our exchange rates always has been overvalued . And in case of "some recent things" the exchange rates become 40% higher which is not good for imported goods:) I was able to buy an rx580 in 2018 for 18500 (it was an opposition of 1060) and now after all mining stuff and inflation and rates and parallel import a new 3060 would cost me around 37500. Kinda sucks, but if you get your salary close to capital city it is still buyable.
