Dude this is one of the most difficult subjects to find excellent tutorials on. You really made a great tutorial with a huge idea and content with context in under 10 minutes. You rock man!!!!
when working in the shader the value in Math Add node changes the color of the entire string instead of dividing it in blocks that travel through the string, any idea why that happens? awesome tutorial btw, thank you so much

Thank you :) When we do the cross product of two vectors (A x B) then we get another vector C which will be perpendicular to A and B. In this case, I want the lines to be tangent to the surface, so we need a tangent vector T based on the noise field which is T = F (Field Vector) x N (Surface Normal Vector). Hey man this is awesome! Would you be able to explain how to pass x and y to normal attributes instead of using the vector UV? Which node do I have to add after the “combine xyz” I would like to use cycles but it is not working for me and I’m new to geometry nodes. Thank u so much!
Hi! This mainly happens with the UV nodes. In this case, you just pass the x and y as normal attributes instead of using Vector UV attributes. Store separately X and Y as float attributes with the help of Store Attributes by Name node. Then you can access them in the material section.
Thank you for this nice tutorial. But i don’t know how to make the shader in cycles. I read your commets about it, but i still don’t get it. So could you please send me a screenshot of node tree? Sorry for bothering
Hi. I used Eevee Render Engine: 1) Make the Transmission =1 2) In the N-panel Options: Blend Mode to Alpha Hashed (if you need depth of field) otherwise, Alpha Blend.
This is a really good tutorial! I am amazed at the cool results, thank you for providing such an awesome work! But I have a problem that has not been solved yet, that is, at 4:17 in the video, when the shortcut key in the lower left corner shows shift+CTRL, the separate RGB R seat suddenly shoots a white line. I also pressed shift+CTRL, but nothing happened🥺. I would appreciate it if you could tell me what I understand wrong! Thanks again for your amazing contributions!🥰
Hi. Thanks for the feedback. I don't know why Screencast addon showed wrong keys. The correct shortcut keys are: Shift + Ctrl + Left Click (on the respective node), it will cycles through all the outputs of the node. I have tested this on Blender 3.6. I hope this will clear the confusion.
@@3DSinghVFX Thank you for your patient guidance, I fully understand! Now that I have finished the tutorial successfully, thank you again for your great contribution, it is a wonderful, excellent, brilliant tutorial in blender.🤩

Could you include a list of addons you're using as well as the version of Blender you did this on? Got to "Store Named Attribute" before I realized I'm on the wrong version. This will probably be an issue until Blender chills out with the updates to Geo Nodes. There's also some people putting out tutorials and demonstrations on the 3.4 alpha's already. "Store Named Attribute" is Blender 3.2+ as far as I know.

Hi. Thank You. I have shown that step at 4:15 time, where I used the Module method for pulses.
Learned a thing or three. Thx!
thanks for the info and demonstration. really cool stuff!
Sooo so beautiful!
Super cool tutorial. My lights move but are a bit more random is size and pulse. Any guess as to why they might pulse? THanks!!
Thanks. First, lower the speed then investigate the Pulse size. You can also DM me on my Discord.
Do you know why I don't get smooth curves on the extruded vertices? I get jagged bends instead.
Hi. Use a small Offset Scale 00:33. For more smoothness, after Mesh to Curve node use the Fillet Cuvre node 02:57.
