    As an OG Pint owner i agree, the footpads are really too small and I could definitely use a few extra km in range, but at the same time i don't think that's a good enough reason to justify (at least in my case) the expense for an XR, let alone a GT, until my Pint breaks down.
    What i don't agree with is pushback. It doesn't disturb me that much to be honest, actually i find it very helpful to alert me when i'm going too hard. I'd rather have pushback than a nosedive. Haven't had the chance to try an XR (in Italy there are like 10 Onewheels in total, mine included, so not much of a chance to find one), but the milder pushback scares me a little.

    I wish they would let you choose how much you want to charge it in the app - 95% instead of 100%. This doesn't seem important, but I live on top of a hill. It's sketchy going down on a full charge. Most of the time I drive my car down and park at the bottom. It would be nice if they included this feature for the GT or other future models.

    Pushback is a feature of SAFETY. It must be unmissable. Many riders complained of pushbach not being strong enough on the xr, leading to tons of nosedives. FM can't afford a lawsuit about safety. That's why they make it obvious to any rider, and I think it's better like this.

      @@TheFloatLife Actually it isn't due to physics. Rather it would be a design cutback for monetary savings. The motor could be manufactured in the same current size to have the rotational power and torque to keep you upright and stable at a much higher speed and body weight. I've reverse engineered an XR and the speed and torque increases are phenomenal. I will keep my build for the right tech company.
      It is disappointing to know FM could have produced a much better product but because of the need to justify profit margin to overhead, didn't find it profitable therefore the community is left with mediocre results at best.
      I still enjoy the original XR, it's potential was purposely limited, and the GT is proof as well and that's just a robbery.

Not sure exactly when they did but it seems very recently since 2 months ago it was still listed at $950.. Do you think they could have done it to repurpose the regular Pint parts and only swap out the bottoms aka bumpers & batteries? It seems to me like the most logical reason since it sort of prices out the regular Pint when the Pint X is so close in price. Hope to hear back from you.

    In your... well professional riding opinion, because you guys ARE pros... Do you think it would be weird if there was a Pint version with just wider footpads? So the rails would be of a different shape to accommodate. Would that ride weirdly?

    Will you guys Posi sensor a normal pint at your shop? That shit drives me nuts and I look like a complete idiot when I have to stop at lights and can’t get it going again. I swear that’s like 90% why I ride my XR and never touch my pint. Great video by the way!

    Nice! Definitely making a case that it might be worth the investment. What y’all think 🤔 Pint X or upgrade your Pint w/ a Quart Battery to get basically the same range. The delayed pushback on the PX would be nice though.

    • @TheFloatLife
      @TheFloatLife  2 года назад +4

      The slight increase before pushback is pretty nice

    • @PeterFriesenTX
      @PeterFriesenTX 2 года назад +9

      @@TheFloatLife seems like all FM did was tweak the software for the Pint X to delay the pushback. I bet they could do that for the OG Pint as well with a software/firmware update, but won’t 😔.

      Same boat. I like to ride ~15mph and Quart doesn't fix that. The reduced clearance of the X has me looking at XRs though!

    • @ed_boogie
      @ed_boogie 2 года назад +1

      I've tried both. I own one with a quart and my friend has an X. He gets a few more miles than mine and the the delayed push back is very nice. He use to ride my pint with the quart, but we always had to chill on our XR so he could keep up.

    • @TheFloatLife

      It’s a touch small so it’s ok for freestyle, but not as good as the XR. Heck, it’s the same weight as an XR so it doesn’t have an advantage there unfortunately.

      They solder a jumper wire between the two sensors to make it one. Since the stock Pint is so touchy and doesn't like to go. I only have 2 specific pairs of shoes that go every time, the rest I'm rocking back and forth like an idiot trying to get the sensors to read. A mod like they did would be great, I need to look into that.
