loved being at Anna Marie Island - we loved the beach --the white sand and the stores and the restaurants that had live music outside - so much fun and the shuttle is amazing

Holmes Beach does have a Publix, CVS, and Walgreens all ate in the shopping district just south of FL64.

That comment about the grammar school has me puzzled. What makes it so good that parents from the mainland would send there children out to the island? Are the mainland schools bad?

I think if you look up the Manatee County school system for ratings on the schools, the one on AMI may have a higher rating that the other in NW Bradenton.

This area has a nice family atmosphere. Water access including boat ramps.
