Ok hit me - what was the very first song you ever heard Harry Styles singing? This can be a cover, 1D, X or an original. -tommy
Sign of the Times was the first song I heard from him and I fell down the rabbit hole.
You should react to him performing one direction songs solo. He has really made them his own and does such interesting arrangements! Absolutely love your reaction to Harry and his band!
First song was in 1D and it was Story Of My Life even though at the time I didn’t know who it was

Only song I really liked back in the 1D days was Story of my life. Don't remember if I could tell the guys apart back then. Prob not.
From solo material obviously Sign of the times - that song was everywhere.
But, as you know, the one that finally got me into Harry was Sledgehammer cover. Boom - that was it. Gone. Forever gone.

There is another video called harry styles ..voice evolution 2008-2020.. its a little better then this video as it literally starts from x- factor all the way until 2020..i love this video too..but voice evolution is way better.. and has way more harry in it🤩.And have u watched crosswalk concert on James cordon??..its just funny and entertaining!!
Oh that one was AMAZING! You def should react to that, a lot better than this one. This is kinda dated video. The other one shows the journey far better.

Voice evolution is a good one...the one that goes to 2020, as there are other older ones out there. Same with the video of Niall's voice evolution. I think his vocals developed and changed the most through the years and it truly is fascinating to see.
Tommy, I see you going down the 1D rabbit hole next. As for my first song I remember hearing Harry is Drag Me Down when it came out. That was it for me.

Hey, just for fun & veeeery young Harry - check out the 1D X-factor audition. That's just so sweet. He was always just himself, from the very very start. He's so authentic.
You should definitely check out more One Direction. I did the same thing you did and started with Harry and then fell backwards into 1D and then went forward to all the other guys’ solo works. (Too much free time in quarantine makes it easy to fall into internet holes.) The cool thing about starting with Harry was realizing he was always himself, even within the band. That cover of Torn, was 1D’s first ever performance as a group and he was already amazing at 16. A couple of the other guys weren’t as strong vocally, but they really matured over the course of the band and they’re all amazing now. I still prefer some of the guys’ solo work over others, just because it’s my kind of music, but all the boys have songs I enjoy. I think you’d really like Niall and Louis, too.

Great video as always, Tommy! Although I like this compilation, I feel like you'd enjoy the video 'Harry Styles Voice Evolution 2008-2020' too. For one, the cuts aren't as abrupt and I just feel like it shows off a little more, over all.

Laughs....I found Harry through 1D. I have to say I was BLOWN away by them. Boy Band? NOT ME! That is what you miss when you keep your mind closed. I learned a lesson then and won't forget it. Harry stood out for me, that rock star "THANG" but the guys are ALL SO talented on their own, the combination of all of their talents was/ is ICONIC and always will be. I fell down that rabbit hole and it's led me to Harry's Solo work and a few things from all of them. I saw you watch SLEDGEHAMMER and I fell again with you . THANK YOU FOR ROCKING LIKE YOU DO MY FRIEND. We are BETTER because of the MUSIC! When i say “Harry Styles™️”, i mean what the general public know him as (A singer from 1D that went solo after their hiatus) they dont know WHO harry is how funny and charismatic he is. It doesn’t have to mean a bad thing unless you think its a bad thing.

I swear one direction's music is not bad, its good. Give it a try. I am pretty sure you'll like niall and louis because they have rock vibez to them and I hope you'll enjoy their music too.
As far as Zayn goes i love his style of music. His range is incredible and absolutely beautiful voice. His music is RnB and so different. I am not sure if you'll love his music but give it a try.
Liam is more hip hop/pop but he is good too.

Coincidentally, last night my friend told me that her husband, a rock fan, just saw Harry's Sledgehammer and was blown away. He asked her, "Who is this guy and who the h** is that drummer?!?" I think Harry just gained another fan. Sledgehammer seems to be the gateway drug to Harry! 😜🤣

I first heard Harry’s voice back when he was on the X Factor but then didn’t really hear it again until he released Sign of the Times. I remember being so blown away.
Loved this!! So Tommy maybe you will consider checking out One Direction through the years so you can truly watch Harry’s evolution from age 16 to now at almost 27.

There are some very talented and dedicated Directioners out there who have put together some great video footage! It would take days to go through it all! I really enjoy "You will fall in love with Harry Styles after watching this" or something like that. They are a little long but worth the watch!

Did I detect a bit of surprise on your part when listening to the 1D clips. Yes, that “boy band” was/is incredible. Don’t let the negative connotation of “boy band” keep you from enjoying their music. I’ll bet you fall down the 1D rabbit hole next. I dare ya to give them a chance.
Any live performances from their last three albums. “Right Now” at San Siri, “Drag Me Down” live (2015) posted by 1D Fan, and Midnight Memories” live on x-factor are all good places to start.

The performance of Midnight Memories on the XFactor US Finale was the best to me.

I agree. I personally am not a huge fan of Zayn's music, although there are a few songs I like. But the guy's voice is incredible. His range is on par with Brenden Urie (Zayn's tone is smoother though) and he can belt like no one's business! He was probably (IMO) the best vocalist in the band, especially in the beginning. But they all have a different sound and different strengths so they each brought something special to the band.
@@jens309 personally I think Liam was the best vocalist until like late up all night/take me home era and then it became Zayn
@@ssealion6252 I can see that, as I don't think Zayn had the confidence initially to really show what he could do and Liam did and had more experience. Liam has a beautiful voice as well.
