Anthony is the biggest disappointment of the Cobra Kai series. But this is not the fault of actor Griffin Santopietro. It is the fault of the writers who don't know what to do with his character.
If handled better, Anthony could have become the show's version of Damian Wayne ( Batman ). Instead, he got turned into Henry Jennings ( The Americans ).
The show isn’t deciding for you who to root for, there are plenty of shows and movies like that. Cobra Kai is special because you get to see everyone’s side and you get to decide who you root for yourself.
Season 6, Part 1 probably could have included at least one sick karate training montage of Anthony LaRusso. He literally went from being the fat, lazy kid who obsessively played video games all day and slurped down melted butter on the dinner table meant to be poured onto lobster at the country club his parents belong to, to being a significantly taller, slim version of himself who had somehow acquired enough skills to became a contender for the Sekai Tekai. How could that have happened? Did he have mad karate skills downloaded into his brain like Keanu Reeves' Neo in The Matrix?
The problem the show seems to have, is it feels like they have a season's worth of material for certain characters, and then kind of forget about them for a season or 2, or just kind of become background characters and development stops.
Kenny is the only good character of them 3. Anthony I understand because he is essential to Kenny's development and I like their arc. Devon just exists because they just had 2 female fighters...
I think Devon might be Tory’s weakness. She’s pretty similar in terms of aggression and Tory recognizes that she doesn’t want her to be in cobra Kai. I think Devon also had more potential for the rivalry shifting from Sam and Tory to Sam and Devon.
i don't know; i think lapusso is an interesting character. i mean he's come a long way over the years; it just seems like the writers don't know what to do with him this season

Kenny’s only action isn’t getting Cobra Kai in Sekai Taikai, he also was pivotal to Robby’s S4 arc, and they have something for him in S6 as well.

The main thing that Kenny did to pushed the story along was bringing Robby back to Miyagi Do. Y’all focus too much on that Hawk vs Kenny scene.
