I think with a 2.5mm hook it will work really well

I have made dolls with 2 weight yarn because of the pattern. I like them, they are really soft. I used a 2.0 mm hook.

OH NOOO, not a 2-weight! Using 2 skeins with those tiny balls is not going to cut it. I would probably need 8 for one doll.
