This card is a BAD PRODUCT. It has features removed from previous version of the card. This card has no support for 5.1 sound passthrough. ONLY STEREO sound is supported. This is a HUGE downgrade from GC573. Basically this card is a repackaged USB capture card with a PCIe interface. Disappointing!
if you are the king :-) Wich capture card could recording yuv 4-2-2 with USB nor PCI ... i use old Retro consoles with RGB mods and the framemeister for upscaling and scanlines. at this point i habe the elgato hd60s Plus and this card could only 4-2-0 and than the scanlines looks totaly bad
@@DarkenedCyrus I’m recording my gaming pc at 1440p60, the vrr feature will allow the use of gsync I guess but I wonder if it will make the gameplay recordings any smoother looking ? Knowing my framerate almost never dips under 60 fps Thanks for your answer btw
@AYOUB1080plus it will remove any tearing that might come with recording and keeps things locked in like gsync and vsync do. It won’t smooth out your gameplay in the sense of not looking better, but making sure the video isn’t showing tears, yes
Hey just found your channel because I was looking at the new Avermedia’s capture card. I’ve never used the PCI, could you do a video of the proper way to connect it to your pc
clear downgrade. capture latency of the older 4k is 30 something ms and this new one has over 60ms... they also removed true 4k60 and hdr recordings. Yikes!

I have an asrock steel legend b450m board, is it compatible?
Can I use this capture card on an HDMI 2.0 monitor with an HDMI 2.1 cable? I'm asking for ultrawide recording my monitor only supports 2.0 hdmi
You won't get the full benefit of this card for passthrough as the 2.1 is what really opens up the options for it to have high refresh passthrough
I dont get it. Can I record 4K at 144?
Not on this card currently. The USB C version can in Avermedia’s software or 4k 120 anywhere

Future proof? Don't know about all that. Looking forward to Elgatos Announcement and official specs
I agree as competition is key. I hope they can do even better as it’s just a win win for creators
hi can you pls do a video where you test if the sm7b pop filter can fit on am8 plssssssssssssssssssssss?it can be shorts
Does vrr make a difference when it comes to pc capture ??
Like how can I benefit from this new version knowing I already have the live gamer 4k ?
That all depends on what you’re looking to capture. VRR is amazing and does help for PC capture in 2 pc setups

@@DarkenedCyrus thank you for clarifying that 👍🏻 at this point the only thing holding me back is the obs preview latency..
Does anyone know what the preview latency is for this card? Is it less than the GC573's preview latency in OBS at 36 MS?
EposVox did a deep review of this and said it’s 60ms or so. Saying that, I wouldn’t recommend playing fast paced titles through the preview window
What capture card do you use for your camera to record?
For these videos, I was using the Avermedia capture cards

Totally can. Might be a short though as it doesn't need a fully fledged out video
That would be awesome, thanks man. Also, great video, appreciate the detail.
@perfecstormgaming7830 thanks!

Huh? This has full HDR recordings up to 4k60? Not sure where that info is coming from
Yeah, I'm very disappointed. There's no 4k 60fps HDR Capture for GC575, compared to GC573. Hence, I'm waiting for brand new capture card from Elgato.
Maybe I’m missing something, but I’m seeing it on my end? Even have 10bit coming in from my camera
