I spent three days with Jeff in Vancouver and I am truly blessed really funny guy met his mother she is so lovely and kind Love you Jeff Trevor Solomon☺️
Thanks so much. I was at this gig, such a wonderful Human. I still remember him hanging around after and signing things for a massive queue after he played. I joined the queue just to say thanks for the music. When it was my turn he asked me what I wanted him to sign, I said I just wanted to say thanks and said he could sign my jacket arm if he likes. He said sure but that it was too nice of a leather jacket to ruin so he signed it it black marker, what a man! I also saw him at the Palace in St Kilda, that is still the best gig i ever went to. Cheers again mate this brought back a lot of memories.
Man that's amazing! Can you please tell me what he was doing for the "vicious circle joke?" What was he doing visually. It's bothering me to death. I was far too young to have ever to have met him. He's my favourite artist. Knowing I can't ever see or meet him pains me infinitely
@@virginiaknighten4687 not sure last I saw it I gave it to my sister as she was getting in to riding motorbikes way back when, ah to be young and silly.
@@TheMetalChannelNZ I can't 100% remember. I had completely forgot about the joke until I heard it again and now it made me laugh again. I think he made a circle with finger and thumb and put it front of his mouth.
Some thoughts on hearing this performance for the first time: 1. This is incredible. More arresting than his studio stuff, which brings me up short every time I hear it. 2. Jeff isn't a performer, or a singer / songwriter, a guitarist, or even a musician. He was an artist -- maybe the most original musical artist combining all those things I listed above since Nick Drake or Michael Hedges. The only person to surpass him in my lifetime (I'm 60), in my view: Joni Mitchell, and only because of her longevity and thus overall versatility. 3. I suddenly thought during "Lover" -- I wonder if any of his studio or live performances matched what he heard in his head. If not, THAT's a reason to hope for heaven, both for Jeff and for us. 4. Hell is reserved for those who put a commercial during one of these tracks, as opposed to between them.
I think you pretty much just nailed it! I met Jeff's music (in Oz) he did tour here but being from Brisbane - at that time not many artists toured Qld - he didn't but I was in Hyde Park, Sydney, NSW at the time he was there...I randomly took a walk from the hotel...meek and mild and so sincere. Vale. ✌️✨️🌟Xo
Such a soulful and gifted artist who touches our hearts every time we listen to him. He will never be forgotten. Thank you for sharing this precious performance.
Jeff was an Angel sent to us to teach a few lessons about Life , Love , and ourselves . Unfortunately we were not quite ready for his wisdom and the lord called him back as there was much more we had to suffer before understanding an Angel of this magnitude ❤️
'Dirk Diggler' pontificating about angels and 'the lord'. OK. Just one question if you would be so gracious, when we have suffered enough to understand Jeff Buckley will we all be called to the great kingdom in the sky, or will he return to play some gigs here first? I am ready for that! Can I get presales for my sins?
Possibly the most heavenly version of Mojo Pin that ever existed. I didn't think i could love it any more til hearing this. Thanks so much for the upload. This made my month.
I was there too... What an amazing moment. Also saw him do an impromptu lunchtime set at the lounge. Might have just been a soundcheck that he decided to extend into a full set?
Jeff's music means so much to me, I remember buying his Live at Sin e EP in '93 and it blew me away. Sadly I never got to see him live. Thanks for the recording.

Maybe we shouldn’t ask why Jeff was with us for such a short time… we were lucky to have him in the first place.
I felt the same way about his father. Grateful for what we are given.
Exactly ❤
Because he was a true free spirit and couldn’t be used and misused by “the culture”.
