there's a book called whispers of manifestation on borlest , and it talks about how using some secret tehniques you can attract almost everything in life it's not some bullshit law of attraction, it's the real deal

I don't know about your buttocks, but mine is holding its place because of gravity, not because of Akash. If Sadhguru is referring Akash to a dark matter, he is very wage about it. Plus to say that Akash is simply a space is oversimplification. But even like that, answer me one question - you are moving from A to B. as you are getting closer to B is there a less space between you and B or is there a less distance? Is there a difference between the two?
the method is good, explanation is poor. It is a part of Ishwara Pranidhana Sadhana. Why? because there is no difference between Ishwara and Akash. Akash is not just another element, it is the source. Of all other elements, of all life, religions call it God. It is not manifested, it is a source of all manifestation. You can't make it to work in your advantage, no. You can align yourself with the Akash in a degree, that you are not in the way. That you are not a problem. And that is more that enough. Than it may look like that source is working for you, but it is never the case, because the source is beyond any bias notions. Another mistakes Sadhguru makes is when he is describing the elemental composition of your body (in other videos). So and so much water, element so and so much air. element... so and so much akash. It is fundamentally false in two ways. 1st: you are 100% Akash. 2nd: there is only Earth element in your body. Water that you see is not Water element. Fire that you see is not Fire element and so on. Every single physical manifestation is due to Earth Element, with a various degrees of other Elements involved.
This oversimplification, I don't know. is it because he wants to make it simple for a big crowd of people, or is it a lack of understanding?
I hope it is the former, but even like this, I don't like when the truth is being compromised and brought to a level of your simple Joe. No. the way I understand the work of a Master is to bring your simple Joe to the level of the truth.
I'm already looking forward to all the hateful comments saying how ignorant I am, how my Ego is out of proportions, how do I dare to correct the great Master and so on. Please go for it! It always makes my day.
