Someone explain to me why this version of Steve T. doesn't have 40 million views? I didn't remember seeing this version so amazing at the time and I had no understanding and today I see how amazing it is and I'm so addicted to this version.
@@jordanbecker5692 I can't hear the original version anymore and I don't remember this Steve T. guitar, it's really empty now to hear the original if it doesn't have the guitar sound. It got a lot better and now I don't want to know more about the original version and I thought it was just me thinking that.
negative. if he'd leave out the lead on the chorus or follow the original a little more it'd sound a lot better. but his piece in the chorus is horrible
I love ADTR and Steve, and by god this is immaculate. I don't care if people say it doesn't fit or he's just showing off. It doesn't matter, his abilities to do this are great. Much love for this.
wow just logged onto youtube for the first time since i posted this t said "many people like this" i thought it was just gonna be about 10-15 people! lol, well hopefully stevie see's this!
I fell off my chair.. That's what I call a guitar player., Just Wow, like always with Steve. I'm a huge fan, since I watched for the first time a year ago.
Serg Neverov easycore is not this technical. yeah, there are some technical chuggs and some melodic leads but this is like melodic easycore. so fucking cool.
The sound of your guitar and the solos/techniques are executed perfectly. But the faces you make are priceless! I just love a great talent with a sense of humor. Keep doing what you are doing.
And just to add on.... Jared Dines would hate this. He hates people who overplay and are a bunch of wankers. He wants people to play the music. But, if you want superior bands with superior musicians.... listen to prog. You got Dream Theater, Periphery, Mastodon, Animals As Leaders, Rush, Tool, a bunch of really kickass bands with very technical music and superior musicians.
A day to remember is one of the few "Scene" bands i like so this video is fucking perfect. Great job StevieT! I wouldl ove to see some more ADTR or some Alesana!
This is my second day watching this video. I think it's my favorite guitar cover video. Your playing is on point and it's not over done and the perfect amount of showing off what you can do and how it made the song better than it already was
Awesome bro! I'm probably the biggest ADTR fan on the planet!! Met them a bunch of times and even ate pizza with them in Chicago, I enjoyed this because I love this song and your having fun, that's great, also Kevin Skaff would probably love this too! Keep it up bro!! Props
Why's everyone so butthurt about this? The video is clearly titled 'ADTR with LEAD guitar'. Of course it's not going to sound like the original because guess what, imbecile, there's lead guitar in it. The extra guitars have been added, not to irritate people who enjoy the song, nor in an effort to improve it (although to me they do) but probably just because Stevie wanted to. He's an excellent guitarist and I feel he's not given enough recognition for his work because some people watch this and expect an exact copy of 'Right Back At It Again'? Fuck, If you don't like variations of originals or tasteful guitar playing then please just listen to the original song and leave this alone.
i think everyone is comprehending the concept of this video incorrectly, this is what they sound like if they did shredding leads, but they don't have those kind of leads! this video is just for fun and props for the killer shreds anyways
the simplistic ones are always the best. they're made to match the song perfectly where the second half of the chorus is too much I find. he should have cut back on some of that
This is pretty sick nasty with the leads added, but ADTR's guitarists are actually capable of adding leads such as this, but they purposely choose the more simplistic sound. It's just the style that defined them.
Taylor Bivens Those are always the worst supporting arguments for any existing artist. That's the same argument used for Justin Bieber. Sorry, doesn't seem to hold up in any meaningful sense.
+Typhoon792 Justin Beiber has nothing to do with thos. They wanted to define their style with "pop meets metal" more or less. Heaviness, but with melodic choruses and what not. They are simply a band whose guitarists are more rhythm based. Example of this is Stephen Carpenter of Deftones. The dude can play a solo and shred all day, and you can look it up to find proof of that but in band like Deftones, it'd defined much more by their rhythm. A good guitar player doesn't have to shred like crazy and play ridiculous arpeggios to prove they're good. it's in their songwriting and riff writing ability. For instance, songs like Digital Bath, and Change (In the house of flies) would kinda be ridiculous if there were shredding guitar solos added. They choose to wanna go solo crazy, then so be it, but ADTR, Deftones, and some other bands' guitar players simply don't think it's necessary. They choose substance over style.
Wow! Shocking to see you in a random comment section like this. I loved your riff ideas and your melodeath In Flames feeling back in pfff... 2008? I don't even know. I'm glad you are still alive! :)
psicobot I've been posting more since 2008 and my band's EP is out, check my videos after 2008 and catch up! I've been MIA for a while now but I'm going to post more very soon. Thanks for following!
Id listen to ADTR so much more if you were doing this on all their material. Admittedly, the lead wouldn't be as high in the mix, but clearly it's high here to demonstrate clearly what you added to the song. Killer job
Sometimes I know I shouldn't watch these videos because I can never listen to the original after and enjoy it the same because Steve makes them so much better.
To those saying he is ruining the vibe of the song: He may be doing just that, but this also an extreme exaggeration. The song doesn't have any lead guitar at all, so he went to the extreme and added it EVERYWHERE, which isn't what happens most of the time when there is lead guitar. Just add in some lead guitar to places, and it will make the song sound 10,000% better by filling in that "empty space" that appears all too often.
This is my favorite song of all time and you one-upped, no scratch that, 4785734285734825734892573489202572304895734892-upped Kevin and Neil. Nice job.

Take Jeremy's vocals out, and you have a sonic the hedgehog soundtrack.
Ryan Normile they do have a song called you be sonic I'll be tails lil
That's true since Sonic music has a lot of Pop Punk influences.
KawaiiPastel also the metal harbor theme from sa2 is ska punk as fuck
I’ll be sonic you be tails
Yeah, especially the intro and the ending!

Really inspired...Thank You :)
Legit can't listen to the original anymore, this was brilliant.
Years later I’m the same exact way. I hear it and I need to come to this version to hear the lead over the end “breakdown”. So fucking good LOL
Seriously i literally can't listen to the original at all anymore it just sounds empty to me after hearing this
I heard this version before hearing the original. Only heard the original once and found it to be complete garbage. This version rocks.

You should do more of these "with lead guitar" vids. This is busted-awesome.
For real! He should!
I can no longer listen to the regular version of this song.
I was completely and utterly shocked at how good this was. If I had a cookie I would give it too you.
Make 2
Make 3
Make none! C-C-C-COMBO BREAKER

you love a day to remember, the band he is making fun of, thats what bothers me.
Ummm Cole, how is he making fun of them, by adding a lead guitar that balances out the overall composition and the mix?
Man if Stevie T joined A Day to Remember the pop punk world would be revolutionized
and then pop punk would be revolutionized to power pop punk :D
ScoutFalcon dude adtr is metalcore, this is only one soft song. Listen to others. For example violence off the common courtesy album
MNCM Productions adtr is pop punk, post-hc, and metalcore
@@not_a_ret0000rd ppl just don't seem to understand that. ADTR isn't just one genre

Even the melodic stuff is amazing
do "the final episode" with lead guitar
Yes.

@Day To Remember they had to see this masterpiece 😎
I grew up listening to crazy technical metal bands like blood on the dance-floor what does lead guitar mean?
Umm, melodies in songs?
For a moment I thought you were serious when you said "technical metal bands like BOTDF".
Lawrence Aaron Gallaher Schmid
I was about to cry. There is some hope.
Haha.. I was worried for a second
Blood on the dance floor, also known as "seriously-these-guys-may-have-committed-murder-why-is-no-one-investigating/band-with-dumb-lyrics-#23434"
I think Stevie T is the most underrated guitarist on youtube. He focuses so much on comedy his incredible skill kind of gets over shadowed.
Terryberry, you're so good at "blending naturally" into the songs you meddle with. Thanks for yet another entertaining version.
