Matchday 77 - Stoke City Vs Portsmouth

Welcome back to our 92 Ground Challenge! In today’s episode, we head up the M5 for Matchday 77 at Stoke City’s Bet365 Stadium, marking our second EFL Championship game in just two days! After some pre-match research, we parked at Longton Rugby Club and enjoyed a 20-minute walk to the stadium. We even managed to grab some cheesy chips and a hot dog from a nearby van before exploring the Stanley Matthews Memorial Garden.
Stoke City didn’t disappoint! Before the game, the club treated us to an incredible pitch-side experience and photo opportunity, thanks to some of the kindest staff we’ve encountered. Then, we were dazzled by a spectacular pre-match light show that lit up the whole stadium.
The match itself was a goal-fest, with Stoke taking control early on. Four goals in the first half and a penalty shortly after the break set the tone for a dominant 6-1 win over Portsmouth. Liam loved every minute, especially as we sat right behind the goal for an up-close view of all the action.
