300$ worth of food would last a family of 3 a month and a week😂
That's 4 months
@@gokuplayswushuaow467 nah bra, 300$ is about 5k plus rand's....so the food will definitely last more than a month but not 4😂 unless you live alone
Cape Town townships are generally more dangerous compared to Joburg townships because of the level of inequality in the city. Joburg townships have morphed into modern neighbourhoods that resemble other middle class areas because the economy in Gauteng is more inclusive so black people in all walks of life have an opportunity to make a buck and develop their neighbourhood
Come to Alex , Snakepark , Zola , Tshepisong and zondi in the shack informal settlement and tell me that ... Johannesburg is a front for soweto😢
@@Trainwreak420 I know both cities very well. The crime in Cape Town townships is far worse. Even SAPS data shows us the 4 busiest police stations in terms of dangerous crimes are all in Cape Town
I agree, I've been to Capetown on work several times and I'm a Joburger. The inequality in that province is crazy, just going to the malls and not seeing black cashiers just lets you know where you are!!! The DA can lie to some black people but some of us know what's going on there.
@@bantuboxingworld607 I don't know how that lie is able to be glanced over. Demographically there are more blacks in Cape Town than any other race but they are stashed in some dirty, unhealthy, sewerage running, smellly underdeveloped space called townships. In fact the Cape Town townships are by far the least developed of all the major cities. If you take a look at townships in Pretoria, Durban, Joburg and Cape Town. Cape town has the lowest yield of middle class blacks in the country. The Whites have done an excellent job of maintaining that apartheid economic structure. The blacks in Cape Town are employees period, nothing more nothing less.
I truly agree with you
I can't wait to see the reaction of top hill reacting to itself coming back from South Africa
He meant todays currency rate 1 USD = 18.27 ZAR
I'm a South African, from Cape Town, working from home, earning USD online, and a monthly cost of expenses in Cape Town (rent, groceries, municipal bills (if you own a house), etc.) amounts to $400 (this includes the average rent prices). If you're earning about $1100 - $2000 pm, you can live comfortably. Been working from home for a year now.
So, Cape Town is not just a beautiful city but also a budget-friendly one for digital nomads? I might need to reconsider my next work-from-home destination!
@TopHillPod definitely. And now that loadshedding doesn't seem to be a thing anymore, you should be good to go. Loadshedding is the scheduled power outages we experienced (since 2007 - this year), but we don't seem to have those anymore (knock on wood) so being a digital nomad is a great idea in Cape Town.
He was talking about the exchange rate lol, that meal aint one dollar
4:30 If you come to South Africa as a tourist, my little advice for you is to get yourself a South African as your tour guide. Migrants will always misrepresent what South Africa really is. I’ve seen videos here on RUclips where foreigners were misrepresenting our history, and you’ll miss out on a lot if you don’t use locals.
Cape Town is amazing! I can say that because I live here I still want to explore more of my country I see all y'all americans and you put that fire in me to want to explore more of South Africa
4:50 Langa is like SOWETO of Cape Town, one of the places that contributed immensely to the liberation of our country. On 21 March 1985, the Langa massacre took place, members of the Apartheid South African Police opened fire on a crowd of people who were attending a funeral. The police had blocked the road and ordered the crowd to disperse. When the crowd failed to comply, the police opened fire, tragically killing 35 people and wounding 27 others. This devastating event remains a painful chapter in South Africa’s history of resistance against apartheid. Like i said before, youll never get this history if you dont use locals as your tour guides.
I'm a student who lives alone. I spend a little over $50 a month for my groceries.
It's time you guys come and experience this for yourselves...we going unto summer no....Cape Town is a vibe....Buy Johannesburg is a whole different City....Joburg is lit
For $300 my family of 5 we can use that for 4 weeks if we talking just food Alone. We buy bulk 10kg rice 10kg maize 10kg sugar That will last 2 months , eggs noodles bread cheese those things are normally what we take to work or food that was cooked at supper time. But we blessed get to eat curry to matumbus to Southern fried chicken macaroni n cheese or mash and gravy with pork bangers .. I am coloured from Durban my mother is from Zulu land
That meal was $5 ... The exchange rate is $1- R18 😂and that food that came up to $14 is still expensive 🫰🏾 R149 for 1 Hake( pronounced like Jake ) is a lot. I would pay R60 or 70 max
