The Vikings also went (10-6), but they qualified for the 6th seeding spot instead of the Bears based on their division record being (4-2), while the Bears only had a (3-3) divisional record.
I remember listening to this on 92.5 The Chief in Champaign when I was like 14 or 15. My dad wanted to go to Lowe's and get some stuff. The score was 7-0 and I wanted to stay in his truck to listen to the game, he said no. Long story short, we came back to 28-2 or 31-2, I don't remember, but I was mad that we missed so many scores. Nothing beats hearing Jeff Joniak say "Touchdown! Touchdown Bears!!"
this team could have been a force had they made the Playoffs. with a better O-Line, a good Tight End and healthy Rookie Alshon -- gets them in the playoffs easy that year.
I can remember when I went to this game 8 years ago with my family who are die-hard Bears fans, and my friend, who is a die-hard Titans fan. In the 3rd Quarter, my friend was so mad that he literally left us behind while my family and I stayed.
