3 years since I said goodbye to my mum in a wee chapel in Scotland and this song takes me back like it was yerterday,,,breaks my heart in 2 every time.absolutely beautiful.

My children didnt learn to appreciate these songs now, but that God would provide a way that they could and would return to Him His way. I, too, need to be renewed and learn unconditional love. Even now, Lord, i ask.

My dad use to play this on our piano and sing the hymn. I fondly, remember it and often brings a tear to my eyes ( especially singing it in church on Good Friday).

In my family, I lost my Paw (people in my house calls him Terry Whane Nunnally) (was my mom mimi and Emmas dad, my Maw (Kathy A Nunnally)'s husband and just my Paw. He has been gone for 5yrs now. My one of my friends in her family her mother died. Not over a yr yet.

My mother just went home to be with Jesus. This was her favorite hymn. My nephew came to her door and sang it to her for Mother's Day one year and she cried. I am looking up some of her favorite songs in the wake of her death. She is free now! I thank the Lord for taking her home and she no longer has to struggle here on earth. They want my nephew to sing it at her memorial service and are asking my other nephew to play it on the piano.
