I have to work in a small part time to meet my living expenses and was not able to get a full time job even graduating in 2008, therefore returned back to India, take care all the best to all the students in the UK
It's about how smart you are. If you can stop using your native language and try to grab the UK accent(depending on the region) it will be helpful and try to be honest and hard-working in your work.
You don't need to have the UK accent. But you do need to speak English fluently and clearly, and be able to hold the attention of the audience when you speak. I know of many, many Indians who maintained their original accent, but ensured they communicated clearly and fluently, and managed to reach top positions both in the US and UK (including at CEO level in companies, Heads of Departments in Universities, etc.). I would even argue it is better not to put on a forced accent, mainly because when you try to speak in an accent you are not comfortable with, it will impede the fluency and clarity of your thoughts you are trying to communicate. However, I agree that if you are unable to speak English fluently and clearly, it will be impossible to get professional acceptance.
Many Indians would just straight up mock you and look down on other indians who try to speak with a native English accent (in an ENGLISH SPEAKING country) it's just super weird because you're accent means almost nothing. If someone speaks in an Indian accent I didn't assume them to be more patriotic but apparently some crack heads do lmao

Considering the astronomical sums spent by these students, they would be better off at home as they come from regions of India where real estate is relatively cheap and the standards of living are better than major urban centres. Their prospects of securing good employment would not be very promising because of their English language skills and less than impressive educational backgrounds. Most would end up working minimum wage even in the long run. This is the bitter truth. They also ignore the fact that the UK has poverty in the form of homelessness and burgeoning poor neighbourhoods. At this point I hope they are empathetic towards those suffering from high cost of food and energy which is forcing Britishers to decide - heat or eat!

Someone deleted my comment but I am writing it again with the hope that this time it ain't deleted. Having lived in UK for 5 years and as a student for 4 years (at KCL), I agree with most of the suggestions given above. In my case, AirBnB bookings for 15 days helped a lot. Student accomodations ask you to sign a contract or 56 weeks which then traps you as these are generally higher priced than other private renters. Never fall into the scam of getting rented accomodations before you view the flat. Regarding travel, if you really want to book a cab, use different apps for cab booking before you start your travel from India. Everytime I give a link here, my comment gets cancelled so apologies for my inability to give you specific suggestions on cab booking apps. Furthermore, my cash was stolen on my way from India to London so I would suggest you to have bank cards that have a balance in GBP which are available from different Indian banks.

Good point, however, it is best to write to the respective university for guidance on travel and accommodation around the university. I am sure there are student unions / student associations that are very helpful and will be able to direct you accordingly.
Accomodations around the university are generally highly priced. Student unions can be helpful, though in my case, several Indian students from my department helped me. I found the names of the students through the university website.
Studying in foreign country is always difficult but UK is not good for students at all. As I have been there for 1&1/2 year. I didn't face much challenges but my friends faced it. You will not get jobs due to 2 reasons that one is you are student so there are restriction for hours to do job so they want people who can work full time and second is if you are Indian you will not get job in any uk based companies. If you're lucky enough to get job at any Indian store or company, they will not give you minimum wages for at least 20hrs. I found these reasons clearly. And moreover university and colleges are doing business only. They literally failed you in course to get extra money as fees to give the exam second time. I can’t even imagine the type of life and situation they must be facing these days...cash crunch and Ukraine war has hit really hard....It will become easier if you guys concentrate on your studies first...But advice for new aspirants to be very cautious before choosing UK as study destination....
Why do we need to be cautious before choosing uk
@@mohammadaltafalam4453 bro first thing is ..
it’s a very small country where most things f the sources are being exploited for far too long it has become very hard for those who are citizens to survive never mind any new person or immigrant… you will not get PR or even work permit after studying… wise to choose Canada Australia or NZ over it….
@@vikramtoor9341 Hey, then tell me the best english speaking, highly paying and safe country to study and also to migrate from India. I’m puzzled and need a final answer🫠
It’s not one specific answer to your question firstly if you want to go abroad just for studying than UK could be good Choice but if you want to migrate there and want a good future life than you should choose Australia( Best pay Rate for newcomers) Getting PR could be tough…Choose NZ for best living standards and safety( Again PR could be Tough) Choose Canada For if you want your PR quickly ( mind you Pay rate for students along with living standards is declining) These are your best bets… Hope it answers everything…👍👍

It's about how smart you are. If you can stop using your native language and try to grab the UK accent(depending on the region) it will be helpful and try to be honest and hard-working in your work.
Agree!
Absolutely right 😇👍
🥰💕👍

Very hard to live as an International student at present. The situation is awful now.Shortage of jobs and significant increase of living cost.
I have been in uk, there is scope of part time job. Depends on city, not particularly whole of UK. And dedication hard work is most important. There is bad side. Good side as well. When you are there go for agencies and college job link to find part time. Concentrate on your course and finish without backs. And before the end of college apply for jobs in your field, because there’s PSW visa for 2 years to get experience.
