Thank you very much for the nice comment. I'm glad you liked the figures. I'm hoping to get the winter US done soon and more Bolt Action as we get closer to New Year.
Warlord doesn't seem to disappoint with the box value (unlike some other companies I won't mention). Although we certainly got more for our buck just a short few years ago. I'm surprised to see the templates made it to the next iteration of the rules. They weren't so popular last I remember. The new winter troops look cool.
Cheers, dude. The sculpts are miles better than a decade ago and I would put them on par with the WFB figures that came out in 7th ed. (2008ish). It was a bit pricey for me as the yen is in the toilet and the customs nailed me for another $14. Rarely happens, but there's only only got to be one of "that f'n guy" working at the customs that shift. But now I'm wishing I had spent the money on the larger book because I'm reading the font in this one with a magnifying glass.
Thanks again, Cal. I'm anxious to see what they'll be doing with the B tier armies too. I just bought those Belgians and I'm hoping I'll be able to use everything in one go without having to find another officer some place.
Hey James, great adds for the gaming table! How long were you in Singapore? It’s been 30 years since I’ve been there and I’ll bet it’s changed a bit. Agree that white is a total pain to paint but you pulled it off. I like the white helmet cover on the American rifleman A nice contrast with the browns and greens. Does the German have quilted pants? If so, I’ll bet the Wehrmacht had those items in front of Moscow in 1941. 😉. Model on!
Thank you very much, Mark. One thing I can guarantee that hasn't changed in Singapore is the heat. I could feel the Sun's gamma rays altering my DNA it was so hot. The quilted pants took a bit of time to do as I painted each individual square. But I'm glad with the result.
It was like one of those quantum experiments where the observer alters the outcome. If that camera hadn't been on, it would have been a ripper. lol. Thank you for checking out the video!
Thanks, Lucian. Yeah it's cool that they added smoking guys. There are a couple for both armies. Some of the options on the sprues are incredible. A lot better sculpts than just a few years ago and they paint up so well.
Cheers, Ginz. I'm working on another 5 of the US guys and hope to have them done soon. Your bro is scheduled to come over on Monday and we're going to give the new rules of Hail Caesar a try just to get used to them. There was talk of a Napoleonic event in Tokyo, but who knows when /if that's going to materialize. Only 3 weeks until hockey! haha. Enjoy all those Oil fans and their constant emotional breakdowns this year.
It was kind of pricey and I got dinged for another $14 by customs (it was the paper rulers that tipped the scales), but it is a pretty sweet box. I'm hoping to get the winter US done with a month of this video. I'm 1/4 through Sherman assembly and with hockey coming back I'll have two reasons to not go anywhere on the weekend.
Dude the American figure looks amazing great brush work!
Great figures. Like that they included a dicebag. Love that the Greyhound is in this. One of my favorite vehicles. Thanks for the unboxing, James!
Thanks, Josh. I was surprised to see the dice bag in there too. I'm hoping to get into the list building soon and get that US winter Army out soon.
Fantastic paint job, I love it, very inspiring, I can’t wait to start painting, thank you for the content ……….

Excellent brush work as always, James.

Nice unboxing, the figures are looking nice, i look forward to your small countries forces that are certainly coming soon

That's a great amount of figures James, lovely work
Thanks, Justin. I'm hoping to get the US part of the box done soon, but we'll have to wait and see if "real life" has something to say about that. lol
Thumbs up for the term 'box fart' but sadly nothing happened.

Good set. Very nice figures with great poses. Good paint job on them, James.
With that they look great on the table. Best wishes, Joachim
Thanks, Joachim. As the weather gets cooler, it should be fun to paint up some winter troops.
finaly some winter americans 😃👍
I'm working on them now. Great figures! I hope to have a painting video out about them soon.
Nice work on the winter fallsh, love how cool he is smoking. Looking forward to see if i can use my reinforced platoon again maybe add a panzer 4.

nice
Thank you.
Another great video, well done. The 2 test figures look amazing and not too time consuming, I'm looking forward to see the rest painted.

Pretty sweet box! Can’t wait to see them all painted up

Keep it weird!
Next month it's going to get weirder.
