NOTE: Special Weapons unlocked in mercs mode will show up in your item box on a new game. But you must load your previous save and choose restart on the menu.

@@MarvelousPhilly i've tried to play this mode as the other two guys and it's just incredibly challenging.
@@MattsGeekCorner Oh yeah. They're missions are definitely very difficult. Especially Nicolai's (probably butchered the hell out of his name lol). Eh! Oh well!

My first time viewing this video and already I know this will never get old. I could talk RE3 all day long, its the first game I started on and also a guy somewhere on youtube is making for PC an open world game that explores Raccoon City and all of its streets, I Hope it comes to fruition !!!
Man I would love an open world Resident Evil. I had a few people on my streams say that it would be cool to have it play kind of like days gone.

Man, in hindsight, they really phoned it in not including a version of The Mercenaries in the Resident Evil 3 remake. I was almost sure they would after seeing all the minigames they brought into the Resident Evil 2 remake.
Definitely agree with you there. But I had doubts when they started talking about the game being outsourced to another company. Whoever it was were the ones to cut out all of the good stuff. If we had mercs mode then it would have had alot more replay value than resistance.
Nice...for me is this the true RE3...i again prefer it at remake!

It sure is. Now you might be asking didn't he die ? I asked that too but this one takes place a little before he dies.
If you're on point with your Dodge you could easily beat it with Nikolai but again that Dodge mechanic is very hard to master
I've just never really liked nikolai in this mode. Maybe i'll try it again later.
@@MattsGeekCorner yeah I usually use Mikhail myself, I've attempted plenty of times to beat it with Nikolai myself to no avail lol but for the most part I use Carlos and do the dog dodge box cheese maneuver to get my money for the infinite ammo which I just completed and now I'm on my second run through on hard mode lol I'm trying to get all the prolog bits and then I'm going to try a speed run
@@cthulhucultist8872 it's funny that you mention the money. Because at the time of recording this I had completely forgotten about the survivors. I really wish they would bring this mode in particular back. This was my favorite version of mercs.
Honestly miss these kinda special things added to games. I think RE2R tried something like this with Ghosts which was not a bad added on for free but wish other games did also
Yeah I hear ya. I miss the added mini games and I'd say RE 4 was the last true game in the series to have some form of mini game.

I don't remember what RE4 had. Was it mercenaries? I know it had Mini games during gameplay with the Gun Range game
@@vegeta2998 yeah RE 4 had the mercenaries mode that we know today. But it also had two Ada mini games.

It will be in your item box when you restart the game from the load screen.
Good video the tricks you was using i did too top except both nemesis i shot with the rocket launcher and i learned from watching you was you took the 3 clickers path the other stairway path to the wharehouse is full of zombies some are close others are a distant apart do you took the easier way to the wharehouse im use your way to the wharehouse. 😃👍
Hey thanks man. Yeah I think this is the path that I used the most when I was younger because it was alot easier.

@eddieq2189 yeah I had kinda forgotten the pattern from when I originally played this mode in 2000. So it slowly came back to me. I had also completely forgot that there were survivors too.
I always used Mikhail since I can get over $1000 with him
Oh he's my go to guy in this mode. Because he's got the good weapons.
Hey Matt, how can I dodge perfectly? I play the game on an android phone so I don't really memorize the buttons to dodge, any tips?
Hey man thanks for stopping by. So dodging for me has always been pure luck but as long as you are holding the aim button you will more than likely hit a dodge move. What type of controller are you using for the android version ?
@@MattsGeekCorner same as the ps1 controller with L1, L2, R1 and R2. I can sometimes dodge attacks but maybe the reason I'm getting caught is because I'm out of room to move?
@@juliusbelmont1369 It's possible but like i was saying it always a stroke of luck for me when dodging in this game.
@@MattsGeekCorner ok tnx man. I do noticed whenever I point the gun and press fire when enemy approaches, I somehow dodge their attacks.

Hey, how I can use inf. M4A1?
In order to use any of the unlimited ammo rewards you will need to purchase them in mercs mode and then save your game before starting the main story. I'm not sure if it carries over though to hard mode from normal because I never really tried. I think you might need a separate completed save on hard mode for it to work.
i usually get $1800 with 7.15 time left, saving all 6 survivors
when i was a kid i swear i could get + 8.00 min 😢
Yeah when I was younger I had this memorized down to the bone. But I stopped playing that mode after I unlocked everything and completely forgot what to do.
@@MattsGeekCorner i've never even tried with Nikolai once. must be for the speedrunners who dodge all enemies and avoid all survivors... but it could be fun to see how many red barrel combos you can get with one handgun clip
@originalSiiiN man I tried with him once and lasted maybe a minute before I died.
Do you suggest not rescuing any hostages?
Not entirely. I would get yourself familiar with the layout of the map first. Then after that I would rescue as many survivors as you can because the more time you have is always better and will get you more money.
@@MattsGeekCorner I am revisiting it after 20years, the only issue I am finding is remembering the path for dodging to get the time upgrades standing on the barrels with the dogs

Edit: My 7yo niece played the first 30 or so mins of it, and had a blast being chased down by Nemesis. Laughing and all.
The remake is a joke compared to the original lol
