Today 6.29.2020 is my grandparents, Willie and Felicias' 100 Year Anniversary. What's significant is that 50 years ago today they held their Golden Anniversary party in the Regency Room at the Carlyle. They also heavily subsidized my Bar Mitzvah reception 2 years after. Those 2 days, albeit ancient history, are easily reckoned amongst the top 10 most highly memorable days in my own lifetime. The Carlyle continues to prevail as tops.
