I just saw one example drive testing in my neighborhood in Pretoria (South Africa), a few kilometres from the BMW Manufacturing plant. Similarly camouflaged.
Design-wise - I was a bit worried about how they would implement the beam lights next to the day time running lights shown on the Neue Klasse concepts. In that they would appear too narrow or close to the centerline of the car. But these headlights look beautiful! Exciting to see the design language getting closer and closer to the Neue Klasse and seeing hints on how they mean to implement that design language in a production vehicle.

It felt great, but again, it's a short drive. So I will really need to test it more in September. The rebound was good on it, especially in Comfort. And Sport felt stiff, but I don't recall how much stiffer than current M40i, or if any stiffer
Great video! Thank you for this real look at the 2025 BMW X3. Other RUclips videos on the 2025 X3 are similar to "click bait" IMHO. Question: We are in the market for a BMW X3 and were actually ready to purchase a new 2024 at the end of this month. Do you feel that the 2025 BMW X3 offers that much more that it is worth waiting for? After watching your video, I feel that if we purchased a 2024 X3, it would already be outdated in a few months. The new 2025 X3 seems to have a slightly sleeker/sportier look to it that the generation it is replacing. I also look forward to any new color choices that BMW may be offering with this new generation of X3.
Thank you, I appreciate it. We stay away from click baits at the risk of getting lower views. I would say this: wait until June if you can. Then you get full details. I will film the car fully unveiled next month so if you have specific questions, let me know and I can address them then. But I can't release them until around June 17-18
Is the size difference noticeable from the previous generation? I felt the X3 was the perfect SUV size, but seeing this one it looks really big. Is it actually that drastic of a change? Maybe the camo is just making it appear bigger.
Will the standard (circa 286 bhp) 3.0 litre 6 cylinder diesel be available in the 25 model? Currently looking at m sport trim G01 3.0 litre X3 but have been told by 2 UK dealers that the diesel version is being deleted.
Would like to see bigger landscape or portrait orientated info screen. Better for maps, online viewing, reversing camera etc. Much easier to navigate when you avert your eyes to it.
It would be nice to get these options in the X3 M50. It’s a possible deal breaker for me if they are not an option. The new X2 M35i have the sport seat and M compound brake options.
Do you think the kidney grill will be horizontal on the M50 and vertical on the xdrive or vertical on both? Or horizontal on both? Or web on the xdrive like the X2?
Very nice video. My only complain with new BMWs is curved screen. Why get rid off almost all the buttons. Love my X3M40i. Curious to see what is comfort like in the city over imperfected roads
As a performance car gal I enjoy the aggressiveness of the X3MC but sometimes it seems too much for regular city driving. For example if I make a turn off a stop sign and if I am not super gentle on the gas the shifting throws everyone around because it wants you to go!!! Roads in my area of CA are rough so yes you can feel all the imperfections because of the suspension, not back breaking or a complete deal breaker if it was just me, but for my family wouldn’t say it’s the most comfortable. Sometimes If I go fast off a red light and let’s say get stuck at the next light and don’t want to accelerate quickly after that the gears may say your back down but my rpm will stay high (3-4) while I slowly accelerate off the line again(not using paddle shifters). I turn it off and get it a rest it goes back to normal. Will mention it to the service department on my next check. So wondering if the improvements in the M50 will be a step up from the current 40i but more comfortable than the X3MC to haul my kids around.
