I don’t see them getting rid of that, although it is the least used feature in all of my BMWs I would say, still nice to have and makes the cabin feel bigger aswell.
I use the open sunroof everyday, more than the side mirror, especially in winter to get minimal fresh air inside. In the summer I use it less. This absence is really a mess….
If you bring back the sunroof that opens and close, plus a retractable cover for the cup holders in the central console, and the extra HP and torque for the M Competition version. You will claim the number 1 seller spot again. I have no more complaints.
Funny how you can see the Euro/world spec one at 7:06 (with the amber rear turn signals) and then the North American spec version at 7:16 with the red rear turn signals...
Also EU version seem to get the M emblem on the front fender as well. I personally like the eu version of turn signal. I don’t know if we can retrofit if BMW did not get rid of the hardware.
It makes zero sense to make the two different ones. All rear turn signals should be amber anyways. You would think with all the other cost cutting measures they do, why manufacture and stock two different light housings? Just because the US doesn't have amber mandated doesn't mean we can't have them.
Was realy interested in the X3 after the previous generation, but he cost cutting is to the point I cant justify the cost of these anymore :/ I will be looking into a used 22-24 m40i instead with an extended warranty.
My dad just got the last bmw x3m40i 2024 with the old body shape in Australia also likely one of the last old generation bmw x3s that rolled off the production line late this year 😢😢😢 (The car is fully brand new) (now I see these lamo I’m like bruh why didn’t we wait till 2025)
Yaa they all are trying very hard to make the ultimate plastic machine . Poor souls . They might have thought why there is so much plastic in this car compared to old gen
I’ll be shocked if this car sells well, even though the exterior has been ugly on some of these newer bmws, they have been nailing the interior until this POS
I agree. I own a 23 x3M40 and my lease is up next year. Idk what bmw to get next but this is not my choice anymore sadly!! I am an enthusiastic so this x3 overall is trash to me. I am most likely going to get a m340
They removed convenient access to the rear doors and the door panels made of cheap plastic. I was so disappointed. My 2022 X4 looks more luxurious than the new one. Why would they do that to a 75k car.
@ well.. have you visited the bmw factory in Munich to see it yourself? Or look for it on RUclips.. you will see that German way of manufactoring is different.. Beside the assemply proces, the parts of the new x3 (bumpers etc) look so cheap/plastic. The focus on cost savings at bmw (and also other brands) is getting so visible and feelable.. dont you think so? I drive a iX1, my opinion is based on own experience..
Pretty rudimentary manufacturing process, too much human involvement, no gloves 🧤 or mask 😷 or head cap 🧢 being used by anyone...they are stepping on inside car with shoes 👟 on 😮😮😮. Pretty disappointed with the manufacturing process, not sophisticated at all... 👎 Ans what to say aboyt the new X3, a big fail imo.
They are so violent with that mallet when putting on the emblem 😂
BMW better retain the opening sunroof for the next gen X5 instead of cost cutting
Let's see
I don’t see them getting rid of that, although it is the least used feature in all of my BMWs I would say, still nice to have and makes the cabin feel bigger aswell.
They will keep it for sure
I use the open sunroof everyday, more than the side mirror, especially in winter to get minimal fresh air inside. In the summer I use it less. This absence is really a mess….
To be honest this beautiful super modern fascinating car is amazing. I decided to order M50 but I have to wait utill Ferburary 2025. I'm from Poland
They really bang the emblem on.

May I add , implementing good materials back into the x3 i.e. more trims, leather etc.
There is no X3 M
Get yourself the 2022 version ;) Like me - happy to have the last of its kind M40d :)
Funny how you can see the Euro/world spec one at 7:06 (with the amber rear turn signals) and then the North American spec version at 7:16 with the red rear turn signals...
They are made on the same production line. No surprise really
i prefer the world spec sadly i live in NA

Can’t wait to get mine!
Honestly speaking I love the new design it’s something new and different
It definitely stands out. For good or bad
You’d be in the minority
That's inhuman of how the logo is installed 😢
It's crazy how everything is just punch snapped into place!

Nothing wrong with the M40i

The previous gen is far better in terms of quality of materials.
Can someone in this factory please send my missing tow caps for my new X3 lol, been on back order for 3 weeks now…
Yaa they all are trying very hard to make the ultimate plastic machine . Poor souls . They might have thought why there is so much plastic in this car compared to old gen
Engineers make mechanics work hard by designing cars which are hard to repair and maintain😂
A $75K SUV without an option to even order a sliding sun roof... sad.
True but it gained some good driving dynamics
I have a sliding sunroof in mine and I barely open it. It won’t be missed
@@RyanT07 your car must smell like a musty vegan’s fart inside. I open the sunroof ajar every morning on my X5 to let the fresh air in
Oh so sad about it 😂😂😂😂😂
@@RyanT07same here lol

Let's see. The X3s have always been great sellers

ouille, the logo is mounted with brutalitty. What about fingerprint and hand that we see on the car, working without gloves, not very serious.
They get inspected and cleaned at the final stage. Nothing new
6:18 ouch 😣
Klaus, Hans, und Heidi look different.
Tesla Giga Factory is on another level.
The fit & finish is on another level, too! BMW for the win….by far! And, I own both BMW & Tesla.

Hmm 🧐 does not make a really good impression this building process…. This does not feel like German-quality engineering 🤷♂️
I mean, you know they've been building cars there for 30 years right? There is zero difference in quality

I visited all the major BMW plants in the world, from Germany to South Africa.

Keep your Chevy Malibu
I agree. At least use hair nets! I’d hate to see a human hair baked into seams or instruments.
