- Anthony Cacace met with Joe Cordina on the undercard of “Ring of Fire” and played out remarkably through smart boxing and quick movement.

Cordina hit Cacace TWICE after the ref tried breaking them up. Cacace's counter was fine and justified.
Just to be clear, Cacace did not intentionally hit Cordina on the break. The break begins 1-54 to 1-50 seconds of round 3 at 9:09 min. of the clip above. The referee says twice, "Bring your arms out, bring your arms out, c'mon boys!" This is when the BREAK officially begins. Now watch.
Next, at 1-50 and 1-49 min of the 3rd round (at 9:12 min. of the clip), Cordina hits Cacace twice with a right hand, then a left hand. At 9:13 min. of the clip (1-48 of the round) Cacace hits Cordina with a thunderous left hook. I say "Fair play" to Cacace, Cordina hit him twice on the "break" already. Furthermore, at 9:28 min of the clip, the referee asks Cordina if he is ready. Cordina with both hands and nods his head in the affirmative that he is ready (without the 5 min. break).
We have our own eyes and ears...we aren't stupid mate. Completely illegal shot.
@@rickisunak Alright, but i see something diff than you. Look at what the ref says. Once he says, "bring your arms out...," it's "protect yourself at all times." The pre fight warning!
The ref never said “break” tho. The ref miscommunicated you need to say break or stop
bad reffing for miscommunication but the punch was fair

Protect yourself at all times
Referee did a horrible job. The punch on the break from Cacace hurt Cordina and the fight went down the hill from then on. Cordina should have been allowed to recover as the punch was illegal.
Welp good news for cordina as his undercard fight with Shakur just got elevated too the main event on dazn ppv from some sources. 🥊🥊🥊

Cordina was first hurt at 2-28 (min, sec.) to 2-24 of the 3rd round (at 8:33 min.), the body shots. Do you hear the thuds, 4 of the body shots are accompanied by loud thuds. At 2-15 of round 3, Cordina starts talking to Cacace (8:47 min of video). Cordina was "shook" even before the clinch betw him and Cacace. And notice, two punches by Cordina followed by two by Cacace (during the break).
Here's another thing to look at. Was Cordina first stunned, buzzed or dazed at the end of Rd. 2 with 7 seconds left (6:55 mins. of the video) by the rt. hand from Cacace? I mean he comes out for Rd. 3 and he's (Cordina) already sleepwalking. He wasn't sharp even at the beg. of rd. 3.

@MajikATX- Cacace absolutely won rd. 5. See min 19:30 and 10-15 secs b4 that, the uppercuts. Rds 1 n 2 could have gone either way.
not only does the ref do a shocking job at that break where cacace basically steals the fight ilegally, then doesn't allow cordina his 5 mins, but then he doesn't bother sending him back to his corner after the knock down. suspend the guy
Look at 9:28 of the fight, Ref asks Cordina if he's ready to fight, Cordina with both hands signals in the affirmative and also nods his head, "Yes." It's his fault, stop the bromance w Cordina unless you're family.
Horrible refereeing, he’s so nonchalant about it all too as if it’s not a World title fight
